We (a party of 6) really enjoyed ourselves. On arrival we would have appreciated an aperitif upstairs in front of the fire in a more relaxing way. The small bar downstairs where we had pre lunch drinks has slippy high leather bar stools alright for youngsters but not so grand for the 60/70+. The food was very good, my whitebait starter was enough with good sized whitebait well cooked. Fish soup very tasty, not thick enough, and i like my fish submerged in the sauce (not placed on top) and served with a thick rouille sauce, grated Gruyere or Parmesan cheese, along with garlic toast or croutons. (traditional Bouillabaisse) For dessert ice cream was yummy. Yes we will go back as a party or a couple. Loved that you didn't get chucked out as we had a few more drinks and a bit of craic.

Food and service were both outstanding, the restaurant was very busy which made it a bit noisy however this did not detract from the excellent service

We thought the place was lovely and the food good, a few things spoilt our evening . Firstly the service was poor and slow we had 2 people in our party waiting for utensils whilst the other two had their food and one person's sweet didn't arrive we had to ask for it. And secondly we had a lovely cup of coffee at the end of our meal but we're not offered a refill. Also it was sad to see so many wilting plants throughout the restaurant area. The head waiter was very good and attentive but unfortunately some of his juniors were less on the ball. Shame.
