The food and the service at The Clermont are both excellent. The ambience in the bar area is generally great and maybe a little patchier in the restaurant... With high ceilings and wood floors, anything other than quiet conversation there can become quite loud. In terms of the food, I think that there are just too many ingredients in some of the dishes. For example, one of our party last night ordered the pan fried hake. A delicious piece of fish, well prepared, in no way needing any sort of bolstering--but offered with fried mussels? On a previous visit I commented similarly in respect of an over complicated pasta dish. It's not a big complaint... I'll be back to The Clermont again and will be very pleased to visit.

This is the first time I have ever written a review on a restaurant, but am compelled to do so on this occasion We have had enjoyable evenings with friends and family in this restaurant on several occasions. Sadly, on our most recent visit we left before we had even eaten, so bad was the customer service we received. I sent an email to the restaurant airing my grievances and sadly no reply. Staff training, better communication needed to improve service. I like to support local restaurants, don’t believe I will be returning here unfortunately.

Excellent food with great service. I don't like places that add service charges on automatically to the bill. That's an American thing. I like to make that decision myself. I tip as appropriate

It is a beautiful restaurant, food was divine, staff really lovely. My only issue was the 10 % gratuity added to bill. I always give a tip and its usually 10 % but its based on the service. In this case service was very good. I probably would have tipped more on my own merit.

First visit to The Clermont…….. will definitely be back. Had lunch in the restaurant. The front of house team is professional, courteous and attentive. The food was perfectly presented and delicious. Dessert is a must here 😋. The premises is spotless throughout and the decor is soothing and relaxing. We had a very enjoyable afternoon, thank you. The positive reputation of The Clermont is well deserved. Wishing you continued success ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
