Always a wonderful experience. The food and service are top notch! Really missed this place during covid! Look forward to my next visit.
Perfect evening! The food and service were superior! We will definitely be back!
What a lovely little gem this is in Roanoke.
When you step inside it’s not what you would think from the outside of the building. The feel is cozy, the service was super genuine and I think we met or talked to almost every employee. The food was great and perfect for my husbands birthday date night. It did not disappoint! I had the filet and it was sooo good.
First time back since reopening. Food was top notch. Had lamb chop feature - excellent. Wife had tenderloin - also great. Staff was very attentive including Curtis making the rounds. Great to see them back with sane or possibly better quality.
We are locals, but our first time at The Classic and boy are we happy. The Classic is a boutique fine dining establishment with a menu that should have something for everyone. So here is the rundown on dinner for four, pretty straightforward. 1. Trout, Outstanding. 2. Medallions of Filet, Outstanding, two medallions of filet with two sides (mashed potatoes and fresh sautéed green beans) 3. 7oz Filet, Outstanding and 4. Ribeye, Outstanding. This is not a Bob’s or Perry’s Steakhouse, this is a local fine dining restaurant with fabulous food. Explore their menu.
Excellent food. Steak was very tinder, Fish, trout, was succulent. My salad with chicken was outstanding
Outstanding meal and service. Will definitely go back.
My wife have been coming to The Classic for more than 20 years. The constant has been the great people, service par excellence and superb food (and wine). Highly recommend adding them to your dining short list.
We were celebrating a birthday and we all have different tastes in entrees. Great selection of meat and fish. The baked Brie was terrific, salads tasty, and who doesn’t love crème brûlée? The tenderloin medallions were very hood, but the ribeye was probably the best we have ever had. So tender and juicy, perfectly cooked. The only criticism would be the duck breast. The meat was very tasty and perfect temperature, but the skin was not cooked nearly enough and was quite chewy, fat not rendered enough. Other than that, exceptional service and a lovely place for a quiet dinner. Will definitely return when I’m back in the Ft Worth area.
We’ve been going to the Classic Cafe for over 20 years and have always had a great experience!
We love the Classic Cafe! The food is always great, the staff is friendly and gives great service. The owner always comes by to check and make sure all is good. Overall a great experience for a night out!
My first time back in many years. Wanted to celebrate my anniversary, and stay close to home.
We were seated immediately, pampered like royalty, and enjoyed the Asian salmon and trout. The tomato basil soup have always been my favorite, and still is!!
Francis, Curtis and his brother continue to provide excellent service and hospitality. I look forward to returning.
Service was amazing....but the food was even better! I had the duck and hubby had the salmon and both were cooked to perfection. We also had the Blueberry buttermilk pie for dessert (wanted to try something new), and it was very tasty with the French pressed coffee. We will definitely be back.
Really amazing food. I’m glad we finally went. Definitely expensive food, but well executed and well worth it.
The Classic Cafe has continued to be a restaurant with excellent food, gracious owners who are often there, excellent management and staff and a charming atmosphere. We have loved this restaurant and owners/management for the 24 years we have lived out in this area. If you haven't tried it yet, you are in for a wonderful evening when you do.
The restaurant was a great experience. The food was excellent and expertly prepared. The presentation was great. The service staff was friendly and helpful.
One little nitpicky thing: They described the Blueberry buttermilk pie as like a chess pie. Being from the deep south, I can tell you that in my opinion, it is not really very close at all. It was delicious. When they said it was like a chess pie my expectations were different than what the pie actually was. It was all a texture thing, not a quality or taste issue.
I would highly recommend the jalapeno apple cobbler.
Celebrated my birthday and the food and service was wonderful. Our waitress Reagon was great and very helpful with our food selection.
Frances was fun to talk to and very friendly. Thank you for making my day special.
Loved our dining experience at Classic Cafe at Roanoke!
My husband said the lamb chops were the best he had ever had. It was a wonderful experience!
Cozy, enjoyable small restaurant that focuses on quality not quantity. Dont get me wrong, the portions were the right size. The food was great! The service was outstanding. The steak was perfect. Thank you for a great night.
Just loud but great food and service.
Wine is a little pricey but other than that the value was what I expected.
Highly recommend the salmon appetizer, the duck entre, and the trout special. All delicious!
Excellent food, great service! Our favorite restaurant!
Extremely loud not the best environment for a business dinner.
Always a pleasant dining experience. Food and service is wondeful.
Celebrating our 19th anniversary, great food and service! Look forward to enjoying future special events
The restaurant was very nice, and the food was some of the best I have ever had.
You can’t go wrong with anything you choose from the menu!!!!
The service was terrific. Very well paced. We were not rushed through dinner nor did we have any extended wait times in between courses. Our wait person Sky was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. She made us feel like we were family. My wife said the tomato basil soup was the best she has ever had. Highly recommend the Grilled Australian Lamb Chops as well as the Choice Beef Tenderloin. Both seasoned and cooked perfectly. This was our first time dining here, but definitely not our last.
Date night. We always enjoy Classic Cafe. The upscale menu is exquisite. It is also flexible to manage dietary limits if needed. Just amazing atmosphere and good old fashion customer service. Highly recommend.
Reliably good food and great service. We had the salmon and the trout and both were outstanding. So enjoy the guitar music so we always ask for that room
Always a favorite
The staff is great. The owner and somolier remembered us from 10 years ago.
Jeff was an excellent waiter. The food was excellent. Even though it is not around the corner from our home, we will be returning frequently.
We love this wonderful restaurant. The food is always perfectly prepared and so delicious, from the salmon to the pork shniztel to the duck breast and pastas. And desserts, yum.
The owner is very personable and attentive without being intrusive. As is the waitstaff. Definitely worth a visit, even if it's not close to you.
I love going to The Classic and I want them to do good! The service is great but the food was too salty and I’ve ordered steak three times and way over cooked each time. Expensive for the food you get and only three sides to choose from. 🤷🏻♀️ The salmon appetizer is the best thing there.
Wonderful! The atmosphere was great, the food was fantastic and very accommodating of alternative diets. The drinks were also very good. The dining room we sat in had a live guitarist, which was so cool. Julie, our waitress, was also so fun, and the service was great!
The setting at Classic Cafe is quite nice. The value for the cost is meh. I waited 25 minutes for a drink that never arrived, even though patrons seated after us received their drinks. I was told twice that there was a delay at the bar. The woman at the table next to me, who arrived after us, received her drink, asked that it be remade, and received the second one while mine never appeared. I finally asked that my drink order be cancelled and requested a glass of wine instead, which arrived just before our entrees. The food was okay. My husband's salmon was very highly seasoned, we think because the fish was a bit old. We will not make a return visit.
Great food, great service!
Great food, outstanding staff. Mixed drinks are perfect and th3 wine is anything you want.
Excellent as always.
