The Clare Castle Port Melbourne is one of Melbourne's finest pub restaurants. Pub classics are a feature but we raise the bar with amazing char grilled steaks, incredible seafood including prawns, beautiful fresh fish, freshly shucked oysters and our signature Moreton Bay bugs available in numerous dishes. We also have vegetarian and gluten free options and many other delights.

We offer multiple dining options: FULL SERVICE in the Restaurant and on the Restaurant Terrace. BAR SERVICE (and optional QR code ordering) in the Bar and on the footpath tables. We also have a fabulous private wine room for your special occasion (please ring to enquire about this room).

    This was the first time we had been to the Hotel.It was to celebrate our wedding anniversary.My wife and daughter loved everything about the place,the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable.We will come again because the service by the staff made us feel welcomed.I would recommend The Clare Castle to my friends.

    We've been twice now for the Sunday roast. Excellent value for money. Both times the roast meat and roast veg was a bit on the lukewarm side but overall, quality produce on these and all other meals I have eaten over my past 5 visits. Each group of friends we have introduced to the Clare Castle have been impressed. The service is also excellent.

    Love the Clare Castle we eat there once a week generally; staff are great. Real shame in the dinning room though they have gotten rid of table clothes. Looks like a pub bistro. Real shame. Takes it down market.

    We had the Sunday roast with all the trimmings . Food was lovley and having 3 Brit’s to impress with a roast is hard going but we loved it . Beef was so tender . Veg was really well cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were epic . I would say abit stingy on the roasties but apart from that we wil definitely be back

    Had a delicious Morton bay bug 1/2 brioche roll. My partner enjoyed his Morton bay bug spaghetti. Definitely recommend this place.

    The menu and the service are very good and it's quiet enough to have a catch up chat. We enjoyed our lunch and the wine very much and we were made comfortable by excellent table service. Thank you.
