Amazing food and service.
Dinner was outstanding as always ! I had the Cesar salad as an appetizer and my husband had the veloute. He had the pasta with the clams and the cherry tomatoes and I had the short ribs ! We shared the flourless chocolate cake … Everything was EXCELLENT!
This was an amazing find. We took a fall foliage trip to NW New Jersey and randomly selected this restaurant for dinner. What a find. The food, the ambiance, and the service were all incredible. If you are a lover of fine dining, you need to check out this restaurant. My only lament is that it is a 90-minute drive from where we live otherwise we would eat there regularly.
The food continues to impress. Kennedy is an amazing server!!! This is a gem so close to home.
Best restaurant I have been to in a very long time! Excellent on every level.
Historic setting refined cuisine with soul and excellent service. This is a staple restaurant for me now
Exquisitely prepared dishes, excellent service.
Had a wonderful time and service was outstanding. Food was spectacular!
Friendly Staff very knowledgeable and professional. We’ll be back with friends to share the experience!
Very nice ambiance in a late 18th century farm house. Food was elegant in presentation and excellent and innovative. Oyster appetizer delicious, pasta perfectly cooked. Duck wonderful. Wife loved the halibut too.
This was our 2nd time visiting the restaurant and it was just as outstanding as the first. Our server, Izzy was very knowledgeable, kind, and made us feel like the only people there. The food was outstanding and essentially perfect in every way. We had 4 courses and 9 dishes between the 2 of us and it’s hard to pick a favorite- though I am still dreaming about the mushroom bisque. Thank you for another outstanding meal- and congratulations on NJ top 30- well deserved! Can’t wait to return.
Surprised and pleased to enjoy such high quality cooking in Fredon, NJ. It turns out the chefs have learned their trade at Jean-Georges, one of the great restaurants in New York City. The place was full on Sunday evening. It is BYOB. It is hard to get a liquor license in NJ. Guests bring in fairly high quality wines, it still costs a bit, but it is worth it. ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful restaurant, great food and staff!
Great experience. Food was delicious. Fantastic use of seasonal and local ingredients. Loved the house as well with wide plank pine flooring, exposed beams and art on the walls. Had a great chat with the chef Brendan after dinner. A real gem for the area
Excellent food and service! Food quality and creativity rivals some of the better NYC restaurants.
Our third time here but first time eating outside and ordering a la carte. Had perfect weather to eat outside - string lights set the mood nicely and patio heaters for the chillier nights. As always, food and service were both excellent.
Best meal we have had in Sussex County in many years. Friendly, attentive and knowledeable staff. Every bite of each course fabulous, exploding with unique and creative combinations of flavor. From opening course of oysters, to a plate of gnocchi, to incredible duck and short rib entrees, we loved it all. And the extraordinary pumpkin bread pudding dessert. Highly recommended. Treat yourself and help support this great restaurant!
First time there. Absolutely delicious. My husband felt his food could of been a little warmer. Other than that, can’t wait to go back
This is my 4th time dining at the Circle and it keeps getting better!
Shared the tasting menu. The six courses were each more delicious than the previous. Nicely paced service. The duck breast is amazing.
The Circle is a wonderful restaurant to have a meal with! Food is of high quality, with a creative menu, and realistic portions, served with linen table cloth and napkins! And the staff is outstanding!
Off the beaten track in the farmland of NJ lies a hidden jewel of a restaurant. At first glance menu not large but every dish offered was delicious. Tagliolini with clams and pancetta amazing. Duck awesome. Halibut never so terrific. Desserts fantastic waitstaff helpful and knowledgeable. Small dining rooms cozy. Worth the trip
All the other reviews were confirmed. We’ll be back when there is sufficient change in the menu.
First time here and I was very satisfied with everything!
We’ve been wanting to try the restaurant but it is always booked. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and beautiful presented. While not inexpensive, it was worth every dollar. Finer dining in a charming and casual atmosphere.
Bread was good , Red Bibb salads were amazing, pasta dishes were also great. The halibut wasn't my favorite but the squash accompanying it was delicious. For dessert we tried the corn tart and the autumn bread pudding and both were just OK. My only complaint would be that I didn't ask how much the still water and cappuccinos were and found them be very pricey.
Excellent food for the most part...duck was not hot when served and acoustics in the room we were in were not good. Appetizers, pasta and dessert were excellent!
Very well presented food with great flavor. Top shelf ingredients help to make it taste good. Waitress was very personable. Treated with care by all individuals of the restaurant
Very noisy, only complaint
Food was Great
We will be back
The food is so creative and full of flavor! The chef uses the local fare and whatever is in season which makes the food they serve that much better. it's a delightful place to dine and the staff is so nice and very attentive. We will see you soon.
We were in the area visiting a friend and were recommended to give The Circle a try., they had gone and did the tasting menu. We could not do the tasting menu because my husband has a shellfish allergy and two of the items have shellfish. The meal started out with our server offering us a selection of bread to try. The bread was very good and fresh. We had the gazpacho and the corn risotto for an appetizer. Both were very good but the portions were small. Our server did mention that the servings on the menu were meant to order one app, one pasta and one main dish for each person. We weren't that hungry so we just ordered one app and one dinner each. For dinner, we had the butternut squash gnocchi which was delicious but it was a very small portion. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and was not too dense. The halibut was bland. Since we were still hungry we tried the pumpkin bread pudding with pumpkin ice cream. The pumpkin ice cream was very good but the bread pudding did not taste like it had any pumpkin flavor and it was very dry. The plating was beautiful. The ambiance is artsy, modern, chic with a rustic vibe. Our server was great. We would eat here again and order other items and more food. There is nothing else in the area like this if you are looking for a date night spot or a special dinner.
The food was unique and delicious.
Server was knowledgeable and very helpful.
Wonderful setting in a house built in the 1700’s.
The hostess forgot to tell the waitress that we were sitting outdoors, and therefore we had to wait about 20 minutes before she came.
There was an excessive wait between courses.
The food and add the odds were excellent.
We enjoyed the food and the service was great. I recommend the oysters amd steak.
We dined on the patio and enjoyed watching the sunset over the corn fields. The food was fresh and excellent, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The only drawback with dining outside was the noise from the road but there's not much to be done about that.
Good it’s always great! Staff is very attentive. Great overall! Wish breads were warm :)
This is an absolute hidden gem! The amazing ambiance, service, and not to mention 6-course chef’s menu for $100, you can’t beat it! I would highly recommend! It was worth the hour drive from PA for me! Definitely will be back!
food was excellent; nice portion size; staff very congenial; will certainly return
Fantastic-in every sense-from parking lot to paying the check-a scrumptious, joyous festival for the palate and Kennedy rocks!!
Service needs to be a bit more polished. The food is outstanding and as such, the prices charged are not for the faint of heart.
