We offer the freshest Seafood and also menu times for the non seafood person. We have a daily special. On the menu we have Chicken Wings, Salad, Hotdogs, Burgers.

It has been a vision for many years and the timing was right to create the dream…….

Our love of Seafood and the Rhode Island-New England feel will be present when you come in for the experience.

During the buildout we especially enjoyed using as much reclaimed material as possible.
The hardwood floors are from the former Monmouth Antique Building – Big thank you to Chris.
The table tops and outside fencing was milled on my sawmill using trees that fell during Hurricane Sandy.

We hope you enjoy the simplicity of The Chowda House.

Food was fresh and delicious. My husband wanted lobster mac and cheese was only offered on lunch menu. Waitress asked chef and were very accomodating

We've been here 1/2 dozen times, mostly because of the outside dining. Not the food. Have experienced - clam chowder with no clams, even when we sent it back. Harried chef who rather throw anything on the plate instead of saying "we're out". Poor quality raw bar - really awful. I had a good wedge salad the other day and that's about it. Wait staff is scared of the "owner", who won't move a table outside if it had rained 2 hours ago. Just a poorly run place and bad to mediocre food. But bring wine, sit outside and have a non-seafood salad and you'll be fine.

Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted and seated right away which was great. So our waiter came over to give us the menus and asked what we wanted to drink as a starter. We told him so...he gave us our drinks...we ordered our food...no complaints thus far. The food was medicore at best...definitely not worth the amount of money that we spent there considering it was a "mom and pop" restaurant that was listed on Open Table. The issue arose when the bill came. I asked the waiter why we were charged an additional charge for the crab sandwich and he explained why and I said ok...May I speak with your mgr. The Co-Owner that was present didn't want to deal with it so he told the waiter to tell us that his wife will be right back and she deal with us. Ok...no problem...we're waiting only to have the message relayed to us that there is NOTHING that can be done the charge stands!!!!! Realllllyyyyy...that's how you deal customers in YOUR ESTABLISHMENT Chowda House. We paid the bill and graciously left a nice gratituty for our waiter Keyshawn and left. Overall great wait staff...poor CUSTOMER SERVICE BY MANAGEMENT....:-( WON'T dine there AGAIN even if it were for FREE!!!!
