We greatly enjoyed our experience at Choptank, the food, the customer service, environment and hospitality was excellent. I would always consider this a valuable eatery choice when I am in the Baltimore area.
Atlas restaurant group should be ashamed of themselves for charging $18 and $16 for seafood appetizers that claim lump crab meat in them but do not have anything but a scrap of pieces of crab
The seafood nachos were all nachos and barely any seafood. The seafood crostini was about the same , a couple of shrimp and scallops and tiny pieces of crab meat
I expect a much higher standard from Atlas
I will not be returning to Choptank
The atmosphere and food here was amazing. Would definitely go back. The only thing we were slightly disappointed about was our waitress. She forgot things several times and it took a while for her to check back.
Great food and drinks! Perfect date night setting!
Had a great visit in honor of our anniversary and the food and ambiance were great!
Crabs were good and hot. Good oysters and like the bamboozled drink.
We love the Choptank! One of our favorite spots in Fells Point. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is also top notch.
Wayyyy too loud for the evening we had planned. A marvelous venue with good music and decent food (some heavily over-sauced and most overpriced), high-spirited crowd, joyous! Happy this vibe is happening in Baltimore: multi-racial party crowds are hard to find in our town and this was definitely one of them. I'd definitely go again, mostly for drinks and raw bar - but definitely not when we're trying to have a conversation!
Nice location in the heart of Fells Point. Food was good and our server was great. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Only cons were noise level since we were seated near the live music area causing patrons to talk louder and the air flow wasn't good. It felt almost as humid inside as it did outside (which happened to be a balmy, summer night). Still, I would definitely go again.
Choptank is a fun seafood oriented bar/restaurant with lots of great outdoor seating. Food is ok for the value. Crabs looked good. Lobster Roll was on their on-line menu but not on the menu at the restaurant - bummer as that was why we went. Still thought place was fun and worth a visit. Live music inside was very loud. Hard to have a conversation so don't recommend for a quiet dinner. Great for groups.
I will most definitely return. Everything was outstanding and perfect location.
It was so many flies in there
Everything we ordered came out wrong and the service was just terrible.
Our waiter Vic was simply wonderful! Great food and service we will definitely be coming back!
Love the outdoor seating! Great cocktails! Such a great addition to fells point. The food is terrific - just not as top notch as the other atlas restaurants.
Wait staff not attentive or personable
Basically ignored with minimal interaction
Great as always. Our server Brandy was attentive and super fun, felt like she was part of our party. The crabs were tasty and cooked to perfection 😋.
Service was great. Atmosphere was perfect. Food was delicious. I’ll always recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks.
Choptqnk has what ever you need inside and outside dining done right. Food reasonably priced and portions very good. Our server was attentive and helpful with menu and drink options. Oh and the most important part the food was delicious. Great atmosphere and setting
We had a reservation with request to be seated outside, but was told upon arrival that it was not possible despite having multiple open outdoor tables which were for reservations... We also had a reservation. The waitstaff was inattentive and some of the food came out cold. One person in our party received the incorrect dish and had to wait an additional 40 minutes before the correct one was brought out. There was live music that was incredibly loud for indoors - could not even hear the person sitting next to me. Overpriced and overhyped for poor service, average food, and broken eardrums.
This was our first time for dinner at the Choptank. Our service was lovely, and our drinks were good. I ordered the scallops for dinner. The scallops themselves were delicious, but the dish was less than substantive. It had corn "three ways" and the third was popped corn, which just seemed a little forced. It wasn't a natural thing to eat. I also wish it was on a bed of rice or potatoes. I ended up ordering a side because I was still hungry. Otherwise, it was lovely!! We will definitely be returning.
we not greeted or addressed. when we asked if we could be seated outside we were told that we could not because this area is help customer with reservations. the restaurant was not that busy so we couldn't understand that. We went inside and I made the reservation. when I went back to the front to again asked to be seated I then asked how many people were in my party. It was four the same amount of people in my party as when i came in and was told i could not sit there with no reservation. we were seated in the area we asked for. later we asked if the could light the fire pit we were told there was no propane.
Great time but got rained out, being in the rain and going inside to a cold restaurant is not ideal.
Great atmosphere for a fun and casual night. Kitchen open late. Games and great drinks.
Great atmosphere, service, food, and fun!
It was cool. There's no oyster menu. The waitress has to tell you, and that sucks because it's too much to know about an oyster if you're a connoisseur. Being able to READ about the different oysters is ideal. The manager sucked... not getting into it. Fixed the issue AFTER the fact. The menu is just so-so. For it to be a seafood restaurant...why would the waitress "recommend" a BURGER!😮😫😂 The ambiance is SUPER dope on the OUTSIDE, however it was way too warm on the inside on a 90degree day. I usually give a place a second chance. I will. If its similar that's a wrap AND I'll tell anyone that asks the same.
Very loud band only could hear drums also difficult to get an outdoor seat
Everything was outstanding except for the seating directly next to the restroom.
Great place to eat outside in Fells Point. We had a great time dining here with friends. I had an ahi tuna salad that was very good. Some of the menu items seem overpriced, but there are plenty of choices. I wish they would have more local beers on tap, especially Brewers Art offerings, and not just tourist friendly national brands. Our waitress was great.
The seafood was delicious. They have generously portioned appetizers and meals, which was a plus. My favorite was the rockfish!
I made reservations for dinner at 6pm, but my plans changed - I showed up an hour early, and the hostess was able to accommodate my time change and seated me with no problem. I was very grateful! While there was a lot of seating outside, the shade was kind of spotty - we were seated in full sun. We were able to shift our table a few inches to the side and get some shade - and over the duration of our dinner, we ended up in more shade which made our dinner more comfortable. The dining area is great! Lots of space - but its outside, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to outdoor dining. The vibe is casual and comfortable. I went with my teenage daughter, and we had a really nice time. Will definitely return when we're in the area again!
Waited 15 minutes b4 we flagged someone to take our order. Then after the gracious guy said he would take care of us and brought us our food, ONLY THEN did a bartender come and ask if we were helped and then had the nerve to come ask if we were OK when our food was complete & ready to pay check. HORRIBLE SERVICE & WE PAID $45 to make a reservation... all the hype for NOTHING
Love the ambiance. The weather was perfect. The hostess was very friendly and the food came out quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you love seafood.
Fun time for Father's day and live music! I didn't realize how far this restaurant was so we ran late on the reservation. We called ahead and the host told us not to worry. We sat inside due to the 95 degree day. There was no airflow inside the restaurant but it wasn't unbearable. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was good and my husband was satisfied. He has already recommended Choptank to several friends.
Great server, excellent food, and a nice drink selection.
I am coming back…. Food was amazing!!! Service was great!!! But did I say the food was amazing
Awesome service! Amazing food! Highly recommend!
Based on the ads send website, you would think this is a fancy restaurant. However it is Extremely casual. The good was good snd our server Ashley was great. The restaurant needs signs to indicate where the entrance is. We walked around and were totally confused until we asked someone
The bartenders were great and the environment is wonderful. It’s very laid back and you can enjoy the sounds of the water and the sunny day in the courtyard
