We followed advice from other reviews to ask for a table outside - the noise level inside is very loud. We had to ask for refills anytime we needed one. I had a glass of wine and was never asked if I wanted another - it just sat empty. This did not appear to happen at other tables. Our waitress barley came to the table - but had us fill out the tip amount in front of her. It was overall a weird and disappointing experience. The views from this restaurant are great - we just wish our experience had been better.

This may have been one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. We had barely finished ordering our food and it had already arrived at our table. Sarah was a very attentive server and made our experience special. The crab cakes we ordered have redefined my expectations of a "Jumbo Lump Crab Cake". I would recommend Choptank to anyone who asks.

our waiter mixed up our drinks, didn't go through the menu as he did with other tables, neglected to empty the crab shell bucket letting the last 5 crabs stay on the table. He didn't check on us and really couldn't be bothered with a small group as we had.

Outstanding views from the top will bring us back, and hopefully, meals and service will improve. It may be that they are understaffed. The young women at the hostess desk did a good job handling a very long line of diners. The indoor areas are impossibly loud. As long as the weather holds up and we can eat outside, we will return to try again.

We had a reservation at 530. Unfortunately the restaurant was super packed with people and they were behind on reservations. Around 6 they texted us and said the table was ready….but unfortunately it wasn’t and we had to wait another fifteen minutes. Once our table was ready though, we had an amazing evening. Great service, great food and fun environment ! The bathrooms were a bit dirty though. Just expect to wait a bit for a table….even if you have a reservation.

Service was good to start but declined as the meal went on as we had to wait for for silverware , side condiments after food was served and over tea refills were slow. The service did not match the prince of the meal

Some of the best crab cakes I ever had! And I've had crab cakes from at least 25 different places! These are actually better than Timbuktu. Honey old bay wings were okay, not bad at all. I had a great server from beginning to end and the food quality for what you're paying was excellent.

Nice to have a water view. I met some friends for lunch on a weekday. The mussels I ordered were very good. It was difficult to hold a conversation as the noise level was on the negative side of energetic.

Food and service were great however, it’s very overpriced . When you are paying $59 for a piece of fish and $82 for two double shots of tequila we did not get bread with our dinner. Nobody came around with fresh pepper things like that for the price we paid I feel like we should’ve had.

The Choptank is really just like any other restaurant. There’s nothing special about it. The food was mediocre, the price was high and took a long time. There’s not anywhere to park that’s near that’s not at least $20 to park. Don’t have any opinion on higher end meals like the Alaskan king crab, but what we ate was just not impressive. The atmosphere was good, and the waitress was really nice. Overall 3/10

Recently we have had what can only be described as mediocre but very expensive dining experiences. Can't beat sitting out side and will definitely go back for apps and a glass of wine-for the view-despite the cocktails and wine pours being small and nothing special.

Waiter was good but overloaded. Food was delivered/ dumped on our table right in the middle of our salad. Guy was gone before we could ask for a bowel for shells and a spoon. Food was good but not a good value overall

This was our first time dining at the Choptank. The restaurant is very attractive with such a great location and view of Ego Alley and Annapolis. Our server was attentive, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and the menu had a wonderful variety of local favorites with some unique twists that made them special.

The food was delicious! We had the crab cake platter, crab dip, the mac n cheese, the 8oz steak and the meatball! Everything was cooked and seasoned very well and was given a hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on it for the birthday guy! For it to be Labor day very busy but the wait staff stayed on top of everything! will be returning in a few weeks!

The food was excellent. We had the seafood tower and Caesar salad with tuna. We sat outside and we had to ask for everything. Silverware, small plates for example. We felt like we were forgotten outside and for the cost we should have had better service.

We ordered beef carpaccio, artichoke hearts, burgers and a mayo mahi sandwich. All the food was delicious. Artichoke hearts were the least favorite but not at all bad. The drinks were inconsistent. The blueberry lemon crush drink was terrible and needed to be sent back. We got orange crushes instead. One was good one was not. All of the food runners and host staff were fantastic but our server was a total dud. He never even told us his name and actually kind of argued with us. It made the whole experience less special. We sat outside and I probably wouldn’t do that again at night because it was soooo dark.
