The Chop House opened its doors in December 2009, offering a new food concept within a Dublin 4 pub! Our focus is to produce high quality dishes using the best of Irish produce. As the name suggests our main ingredient is Irish Meat, the winner of which is our beef. We source this from 2 farms, 1 in Co. Louth, 1 in Roscommon. You will find it difficult to resist a steak once you have been presented with our now famous “Meat Board”, which showcases cuts such as Ribeye, Fillet, Sirloin, and Porterhouse, along with Lamb and Pork choices. Our menu also includes a variety of excellent fish dishes! Kevin Arundel the Chef/Owner and his head Chef Kevin Gallagher have adapted their skills from Michelin star restaurants, to suit the more relaxed environment in The Chop House.

    Service very slow, we were seated for over an hour before food arrived. Fillet steak good but ribeye not great quality.

    This is our third visit this year to The Chophouse and yet again it lived up to expectations. The food is fantastic and the specials board offers some interesting and different options. The pan seared Wild halibut with homemade gnocchi shrimp and mussels and a chorizo, muss and cider sauce is outstanding! We will be back.

    €19 for a Burger and chips is extortionate even in Dublin 4. Granted it is a Gastro pub and notwithstanding inflation this is too dear. Will not be back on that basis

    Another super return trip to The Chophouse and a lovely way to end the bank holiday weekend. The food is as always superb, we are already planning our return visit. The pork chop in particular was really good. The service was again excellent, so professional but you are made feel so comfortable. The lady looking after us was excellent. There is a great atmosphere in this restaurant, so relaxed yet you are in the middle of everything. We will be back!

    Top class food at reasonable prices. Good buzz in the restaurant and nice to see owner greeting regular customers. All in all, a very good experience for a first time diner.

    The steak was perfect as well as the lamb. My girlfriend had the chicken & it was outstanding. The desserts were absolutely phenomenal & I am a pastry chef so I know presentation.
