My husband and I went to the chop house for my birthday dinner. We have been to the equinox in the past and always thought of it as a classy resort. When entering the chop house we went through the Tavern which was full of young families and crying babies. For an hour, we had to listen to a screaming infant while we tried to enjoy our wine and food. There was another family next to us in under armor clothes and obnoxiously playing on iPads. It seems the resort has turned into a kids clubhouse instead of an upscale place to have a cocktail and good meal. Our server was very progression but the ambient was extremely disappointing. I am a mother of four children and would never allow my children to scream, cry or play on loud iPads! We will never go back there!!!

This is kind of an odd place. You walk through a doorway from one restaurant into the Chophouse. The service was great, and I understand they are serving a more exclusive clientele, but WAY overpriced. There were two of us and we each had 1 glass of wine, salad, and filet mignon- asked for medium ans was very rare, split a mashed potato, and split a desert with dinner and tip it was $220. That is the most I have ever paid for a meal that lacked any interesting presentation. Service was great but charging that much was a bit much. It wasn't like there was an amazing view or anything that you could say was part of the overpriced meal.

Too noisy the night we were there. Service was excellent and the food was very good.
