I have waited forever for prime rib. We made reservations for 8pm. After ordering we were told they ran out of prime rib 45 mins earlier. Who runs out of prime rib at 7:15? I was NOT happy.
Stopped by on a Saturday night. It was a delightful meal with great service. Best mac n cheese ever!
The food was great as always!! Service was great. Food came out quickly. One of our favorite places to eat!!
Our waiter, Jason was OUTSTANDING! He had a fabulous personality and he had great customer service. He made my birthday dinner extremely special.
CH is always a good go to. I don’t seek out the CH line of restaurants but will choose over most other chains if I learn the eatery is available. Always good, always what I’d expect.
Good choice and good people.
We made reservations and when we got there we still had to wait. Our steak was overcooked so they brought us another one. The worst meal I have ever had here.
The service and the food was excellent-- As always!!
Overall nice but very loud group beside us.
Would love to see Turkey and dressing on dinner menu.
The USDA Prime Delmonico steak here is hands-down the best in the Tri-Cities! I ordered it with the lobster tail, and unlike most other steak houses where this is usually a small 4 ounce or so lobster tail, this was a 1/2 pound rock lobster on the shell with an exquisite seasoning that really kicked it up a notch compared to the average lobster tail. Outstanding surf and turf all around! My dinner companions also had excellent prime rib, New York strip and a petite filet. My favorite steakhouse in the area!
The food was good and spaced well. Only complaint would be that we ordered dessert after asking for box for my daughters steak. Our server brought the dessert in a box and the bill at the same time. I didn't want my dessert to go. I did not ask for my dessert "to go". Nor had I finished my glass of wine. I felt unnecessarily rushed when I was looking for a relaxing dinner with my grown children. It was very bizarre. I know that the restaurant was very busy. This just was odd.
Great as usual!
Slow start for service. Server took 5+ minutes to greet us. Another table, a party of four, who sat down after us and ordered after us, got their appetizers, salads, and entrees before we got our salads. The conversations in the restaurant could be easily heard over our conversation and were somewhat distracting. Ironically, our server wasted no time running our credit card and moving us toward the door when we were done eating.
The food was good, but the atmosphere and speed of service left something to be desired.
Day after Valentines Day dinner.
The steak was not prime cut filet.
Baked potato just Luke warm, sent back they brought another, out of the same batch ,as cold as the other one. Steaks medallions just warm also. Tables too close, not enough room to get in and out of your chair. Seating 5people in booth for 4,waiters could hardly get through aisles. Noisy, very poor lighting ,too dark. My chair seat was loose just setting on top of frame.
Wonderful evening with friends. Food, environment and friendly service.
Our dining experience was what we have come to expect from The Chop House. The food was excellent and service top notch. Always a delight to eat here. One of the area's top restaurants.
Absolute best restaurant in Kingsport. The food is consistently excellent and the wait staff is top notch. Highly recommend. Our family eats there on a weekly basis. Friendly atmosphere and the food is always so good!
Great food. Great service. Just a little loud!
This is a great place for a special occasion. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is great. I highly recommend it. A family favorite.
Always a solid experience
Enjoyed my steak but the other steak was overcooked. Our server, Lindsey, was awesome! We will be back and I'm sure they'll make up for the overcooked steak!
sorry, but your falling off the bone ribs fell short of their advertised virtue of fall off the bone...they were a bit dry and tough
Great service, great food. Wonderful attention to detail. Gracious accommodation for special dietary needs as well as physical mobility impairment.
An excellent location for our Friendsmas, it was well worth it! I loved being able to relax and enjoy our time, rather than salve away in my kitchen for the evening!
The service was good. The food was very good. I just prefer not to rushed through my meal.
Our reservation was for 6:30 we probably sat down by 6:35 or 6:40 . We had appetizer salad and main course with wine and had our ticket by 7:20pm.
Some people may like the speed, I prefer to enjoy the meal and not be in a rush.
All in all it was still very good.
Very enjoyable experience. Restaurant very loud and often could not hear the server.
It is a good chain restaurant (high-end chain). The managers are constantly wandering through the restaurant asking how everything is. I think we had a new server.
Made reservation online. Arrived with no waiting. Great seat and good food.
Great meal, kitchen was on point! Server was for the most part attentive enough to meet the needs but not be a constant interruption during the business meal. Steaks were perfect & sides too.
Very good steaks and sides. Sever was very helpful and attentive.
We were celebrating my daughter‘s birthday and we love chop house. The appetizers were wonderful, steaks were cooked properly. Our server took great care of us. The only negative part of our meal was the asparagus spears or too large and mushy.
Sanders spears would’ve been much more appetizing, otherwise everything was great
My husband and I had a lovely dinner Saturday night at the Chop House Kingsport. But even better than our dinner was our service. Nathan was engaging and attentive, making the evening even better!
Food and service was outstanding. This was my first time at this location, I will definitely be back.
Delicious meal and excellent service as always 😊
Yes I would recommend the chop house to a friend any day!
Food was ok. I got salmon and wife got filet. Salmon was ok and wife's filet wad good. For the price they charge we can get the same or better at other restaurants. Ruth Chris Steakhouse is better when it comes to steaks.
The Chop House is probably the best restaurant in Kingsport. The wine by the bottle list is good and reasonable. The assortment on the menu is extensive. My husband had filet and lobster tail, I had crab cakes. Desert was excellent, we had the caramel cookie with ice cream. The pork chop is always a great choice. The service was very attentive. You really cannot beat it.
