Our reservation was easy to get. I recommend getting a reservation a couple days in advance to be sure you can get in out in a reasonable time. Our visit was relaxing and enjoyable. The food was excellent, as usual. The service was very personable and professional. I don't think I have ever had anything at Chop House that was subpar. I highly recommend this restaurant and location.

Service was prompt and special accomodations (my wife and I split a meal) were handled OK. We order the 12 oz prime rib, medium rare. When It was served it was about room temperature rather than warm to moderately hot. The loaded baked potato needed more toppings and it was not hot enough. Bread before the meal was not automatically served to us but was brought immediately when we asked about it. The server was attentive and was pleasant; however, because of the "just fair" quality of the food, it was not an enjoyable "dining out" experience --

Vegetables were microwaved not steamed. Nobody was aware about gluten and dairy allergen. I was charged for a shrimp meal when I got only 4 shrimp which should have let me have two sides. I got 2 vegetables and was charged for the second. Attention to detail is lacking to say the least.

Chop House is always a good choice. We especially love to come after church on Sundays around noon. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and all food is prepared well and are delicious. It's also a great place to go for anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Staff is always attentive and friendly.

This was simply a terrible experience. We ordered medium rare steak w crab and got well done steak w invisible crab. Rather than sending it back and needlessly killing another cow in vain, we chose to dry-chew the tasteless beef that was accompanied by the limp Caesar salad. To make the experience even more memorable, our waitress was surly, disrespectful and disengaged. She did, however, light up when the young Australian guy was at the neighboring table which at least allowed us to interrupt her to try and get service. Wow! What a disappointment, especially as it was my mom’s 83rd birthday. Our elders shouldn’t be treated so disrespectfully with such a lack of concern or service. Kingsport has better restaurants and my advice is to choose another alternative.

Neither mine nor my husband’s baked potato was hot. Seems like they had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. Everything else was delicious though. I will probably get something else next time instead of a baked potato.

Disappointed. We've eaten here before but this time the Greeter had an attitude problem. Did not smile at us. (I noticed that she did smile at some customers.) We arrived promptly but we told only, "You'll have to wait." Granted, the restaurant was packed, with a 30-40 minute wait time for walk-ins. We went to the bar to wait. There was an open table in the bar. Over the next few minutes, we heard a couple of names called but not ours. After 15 minutes, I went to check on our reservation. Same attitude. "We called the name but no one came." No offer of getting us a table shortly. Nothing. I noticed that a couple who had come in after us, also waiting in the bar, were approached by one of the greeters and then seated at the open table. We did not receive the same courtesy. We left and went to O'Charlies down the street. Excellent, friendly service, good food. The only disappointment of my wife's 73d birthday was The Chop House.

Our meal was delicious. I had the petite pork chops, baked sweet potato, and creamed spinach. My husband had the Chop House pork chop, baked potato, and salad. Sarah was our server. She was very attentive to our needs. We highly recommend The Chop House. We also recommend that you have reservations.

The food was really good and we did not have a long. Wait time for our food. The server did not listen well, and she was a little argumentative. My Cobb salad was ordered without bacon, but still had small pieces of bacon in it. She seemed frustrated when I told her and instead of offering to remake it she grabbed it and took it away. After our entree came she just told me I took that salad off of your bill. At that point I didn’t say anything. But I would’ve liked to have had the salad made correctly. It’s one of my favorite things at the chophouse.

Our server(Dedria) was good, and the food was good,just slow. Only complaints: kitchen staff was extremely slow on making the shrimp cocktails, which didn't arrive until after the salads and just a few minutes before the meal. Table next to us had a screaming,uncontrolled kid,which the mother and grandparents didn't correct behaviour. This made our meal time not as enjoyable as normally is. We were there to celebrate my daughter's memory of passing on July 2,2023 after a 4 year battle with cancer.

Having lived in many areas with access to amazing food (Charleston, SC; Denver, CO; Stowe, VT; and now near Baltimore/Washington DC) I felt that The Chop House - Kingsport is as good as any I have previously experienced. The calamari & shrimp appetizer was as good as anything I’ve had near the coast. The 9oz filet mignon with blue cheese butter was a perfect medium rare, and on par with comparable meals at Halls Chop House in Charleston, SC. A truly delightful experience for my wife, my in-laws, and me. A wonderful find in the Tri-Cities area.

Ordered the bone in ribeye, it was way two fatty. Large chuck of inedible fat in the middle taking up much of the steak. Flavor was good, ordered it medium, came out medium rare to rare around the bone. Wife ordered salad with ranch dressing came out with something other, maybe Caesar dressing. She ordered mushroom soup an it was more like SW chicken soup. paid $150 for lunch, no drinks, but had an appetizer and 1/2 desert. Not a good value, but am willing to give them another chance... Service was good.

We unfortunately had a very bad waiter experience. The manager did everything she could (free desserts and free appetizers) to make up for it but the service was very. Very. Bad. An unusual experience here but our water was beyond out of sorts. Explained to him for 5 minutes how to split our check (only into two) and then at the end he still managed to not split it. He hasn’t once correctly written down what seat our food was supposed to be at and every time each of us was given the wrong persons food and had to shuffle it around. It was a mess. We were there for almost two hours.

Outstanding as always! Food was excellent and the entire restaurant was bustling. Very good ambiance for a summer Monday night. Traveled from out of town. Accompanied our elderly mother/grandmother to dinner with her sister for the July 4th holiday. The staff was so very accommodating to them and patient with them. A job well done.

Food is excellent; service is efficient without being rushed. In addition to the usual "steakhouse fare", they have smaller plates at smaller prices (generally $15-20). The chopped salad is worth the dolor or two upgrade cost. Overall, good value for money. I have never been there when it wasn't crowded; reservations are prudent.
