Nothing impressive. Food & service was okay. Not a fair value for the fare served - overpriced.
Too loud, too dark, they were sold out of the #1 steak on a military discount night, my steak was overcooked and the server was never available. We had to keep grabbing other servers. I had ribeye, it was overdone and not a great cut. Ordered medium rare and it was medium well. Partner has cowboy steak, it was good. Mac n cheese was bland, asparagus was soggy. Not the best experience I’ve had there. Unfortunate, because I don’t get to go often.
Love Love Love this place!!! Will definitely visit here again.
Very Noisey. My steak was tough . My wife’s was fine . Waiter did not come back on a timely manner . When he did come back, it was to late to get another steak and dine with my wife. Even thoughl he did at one point offer to get another steak, the dinner was ruined. I ask for my check and had to wait another 15 minutes. No consideration was offered to satisfy my dinner cost. Want be back !!!!!
2 guys showing up for an early dinner in an almost empty restaurant. One not overly dressed. Ignored our openTable reservation. Tried to sit us at the worst table in the empty restaurant - next to the kitchen door. Refused table, tried to sit us on top of another group - in an empty restaurant - I refused, walk over to a more suitable table and said I'll take this and sat down. Your hostess service sucks. Food was good, not great. Steak was overdone.
Go early in the evening--between 5 pm and 7 pm they have a variety of entrees with sides for $12 to $14. Very good deal. Happy hour in bar not such a good deal--too many restrictions. Overall, very nice for a chain restaurant.
It was good and their sweet tea was freshly made! Yum!! Their Mac n cheese is to die for! Don’t miss out ;)
Great service. Speedy response when we were seated and food was served quickly. Wine was warm, but was very good.
My steak was overcooked and the service was slow. I've been here before with a better experience so I'll be back just in case this was a fluke.
Celebrating Valentines Day
nice, relaxing, and friendly atmosphere. Ambiance was very nice.
We have always loved The Chop House in Augusta, GA. Great food, served quickly, and wonderful service. We will definitely be back!
Food and customer service was Awesome! We'll be back very soon!
Good food and service, never have any complaints when we eat here.
Great food! Excellent service! We love Tofa as our server! Friendly, attentive and professional!!
Salad was pretty good. Sirloin was dry and tasteless, Ribye was ok, had more flavor than the sirloin. Not impressed with steaks especially since it is their specialty. Waitress was always "swooping" in and out quickly, seemed in a rush and not interested in waiting our table. There is no waiting area in the restaurant-guests had to wait in front of tables being served. May go back to try some different menu items to see if any better.
I had a wonderful dinner with friends/co-workers. The meal was fantastic and at the beginning the service was good. There was times we felt “forgotten”, but overall it wasn’t worth complaining. Until we were belittled. After enjoying our meal, we received our bill. We were not offered dessert, I assumed she thought we didn’t want anything sweet? Non the less, we accepted our bill and reviewed it. We all noticed our bill was a little higher than we thought. Our mistake, we didn’t read the fine print about Happy Hour. But when we explained that we were not made aware until now, we were hoping there would be some type of understanding, forgiveness if you will. No, we were told by our waitress that “It states it on the menu”. “Did you not read it?” Unprofessional and undermined, we ask to speak with the manager. Who did her best to actually make us feel worse and agreed with the waitress we should have read the menu. I explained we saw happy hour, but we did not understand it was only for bar and patio. I asked, why would that menu be given to us in the dinning room, if it only pertained to the patio/bar? The manager then repeated, “Did you not read the menu?”. Shocked, we left it at that, paid our bill, and left. I feel that the service overall was rude and bullying like acts.
Loved my sister food more than my own. I had ordered the turkey w/ dressing. The asparagus was the highlight of my plate. The deviled eggs and the crab cake w/ shrimp was great.
Food and service were both excellent. Due to our larger group we were seated on the inclosed patio so noise was very minimal. My only suggestion for them is to adjust the temperature better, it was warm outside and the radiant heaters made the area a little too warm, otherwise everything was very good.
We had THE BEST Server! Great table. great food. Enjoyed our Sunday lunch with family.
Food was good service was bad.
Made a reservation and was immediately seated when we arrived. The appetizer came out quickly and was really tasty. The entrees were prepared well and the presentation was excellent. We had a great night out.
Everything was fabulous...except for the music playing throughout the restaurant. It was beyond hideous and at times sounded like a wounded duck call.
Great service friendly people
We love The Chop House!! The food is excellent no matter what we order. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We especially like the waitress, Tofa, as she is always upbeat, smiles, very friendly and very attentive to us. We have had the pleasure of getting her twice. We plan to ask for her again if she is working when we visit again. Either way, this is the best restaurant in Augusta!!
Lovely experience , food was good and came out fast
Our food was great, just as ordered. Server was fantastic!
My husband and I went for our 31st wedding anniversary. We had shrimp & calamari for a starter. It was excellent. Food choice for both of us was Ribeye which was very tasteful and cooked to order. We will be going back.
Really good food and awesome service, great place for date night
The food, customer service, and atmosphere was excellent. We will definite be returning back.
Very busy night. 10 min wait beyond our reservation time. Slow on drink refills. Food was amazing! Guests at next table were very loud. The 50% military discount on Mondays is great.
Ran out of sweet potato’s while we were there. Very disappointing.
Great food, very comfortable atmosphere!
There’s times before using open table where I went in and was told it would be a 30 plus wait, using open table has gotten better!! Servers are wonderful! Only area I feel needs attention are the at the entryway, signing in! Once in awhile there’s some one really nice, but there’s a lot of others who aren’t very people friendly! No smile, barley look at you, or look like they just hate being there! I ran a business and had a girl out front, she wasn’t a people person at all!!! No one liked her, she just couldn’t stand to help anyone, a person who I moved another area!!! But I love chop house and I plan to keep going, so Iv overlooked those that don’t like being there!!! Thanks for all the great seating areas, waiters, cooks all do a fantastic job!!!
We loved our waitress/bartender! She was amazing
took clients for dinner food was outstanding-service was great had a great experince
Prompt seating and service. Staff friendly and professional. esthetically pleasing. Food prepared as ordered and perfectly seasoned.
The service was just as good as the food! I would highly recommend.
The ambiance was the best thing. It wasnt busy, or crowded, but the server was too busy to do her job properly. My biggest complaint is I ordered a 14oz Ribeye cooked med rare. What they brought was a thin cut with no fat cooked well. And the bill was $100. Don't call yourself a steakhouse and over price your steaks if you dont know the difference in cuts, and dont know how to cook them to order.
We both got the top of the line steak at at hefty $49 market price...but hard to beat the taste
The good was great. We came in and sat right down. The waiter checked on us several times. Out food came out nice a hot. Our drinks were great as well. This is our 3rd time coming and the service has always been great. I definitely recommend
