    My wife (and another couple) truly ENJOYED our visit to "The Chop House -Athens"! We each had a different entree, and they were all FANTASTIC. My Filet was cooked a perfect "medium" and was seasoned wonderfully. My wife loved her Prime Rib and said that it was very tender. The bread was hot, and the libations were served cold. Our server "Stevie" was EXCEPTIONAL! She was polite, knowledgeable, and customer-friendly. "The Chop House - Athens" is our MOST FAVORITE steak house in the Athens/Lawrenceville/Braselton/Buford/Gainesville area!

    Good service, good drinks. The 10oz ribeye was very disappointing. It was the thinnest ribeye I think I’ve ever had-more like a griddle steak served for a steak and egg breakfast. I expected better from a “chop house”.

    The prime rib was over cooked, dry, and flavorless! Sides were fairly good. Bread was tough—in fact, someone in our party said the bread tasted like a hot dog bun. Very disappointing. A lot of money was wasted on sub par food. I will not go back again.

    The waiter took some time to somewhat warm up and talk. I do not eat dairy and I believe that the mashed potatoes included cheese... and I do not recall seeing that on the menu. I was a bit ill afterwards.
