    We had a fantastic meal at The Choice. The food was equal to the best we have had anywhere, the service was impeccable, and the decor creates a perfect cozy atmosphere. Each course was given enough time to breathe, so we never felt rushed, but nor were there any long lulls. Special thanks to our server, Yulia, who was first class. Highly recommended!

    My wife and I went to The Choice for our anniversary. It was an outstanding dinner. We have had the pleasure at eating at a number of top restaurants and they have nothing on The Choice. We had one of the Fixed Price options and the meal was exceptional. Each course was prepared with care, the flavors were outstanding. Each course was different and i felt like we traveled around the world of flavors. Each course stood out. Service was excellent-delivery of each course was correctly paced where we weren’t rushed but not waiting. Just fantastic!!

    This is a nice restaurant with good to very good food. To my spouse and I it felt short of the reviews we read on Open Table. Understand our "happy place" is Jansen in Mt. Airy. It is closing and we are looking for a replacement. Since the pricing is comparable to Jansen we tried it. The food is of good quality and well prepared. However, at pricing comparable to Jansen and other upscale restaurants in the city, the wow factor was not present. Spouse had shrimp salad. I had octopus as appetizers. Both generous portions and tasty. But neither anything that said exceptional on the flavor profile. Normally when dining at an exceptional restaurant I think about how the chef elevated the flavor of the dish beyond the ingredients listed on the menu. Both appetizers were good and the salad was fresh. But neither suggested anything but taking soy sauce and other conventional seasonings and elevating the dish. Again, both tasty, but unexceptional. Spouse had branzino. I had chilean sea bass. I did not taste the branzino. Spouse said it was good but again, nothing exceptional. The quality of the sea bass itself was excellent. The plating and presentation of both entrees was very pretty. But the sea bass was a modest portion for $45.00 and, again, it was soy sauce and citrus with not a lot else. Not bad in any way, but I was expecting the chef to highlight his skills more than i was shown. Another thing that matters is there needs to be more to the experience. This is a BYO. If you have no liquor license than you need to offer soft drinks, mocktails or something. They do not offer decaffeinated coffee! Someone who is eating at 7 PM or later should be offered the option of coffee/cappuccino without caffeine. I cannot remember a restaurant in this price range that did not offer a complete experience but I felt that while solid on the food, there was no wow.

    Dana runs a sublime restaurant experience. Ask her about Albania and watch her face light up. One can feel how well the staff work with each other and the delight they take in bringing out delicious meals to one and all. Good vibes. This is my second time coming and I made a res for next week. I want to get the same dish fettuccine with clams dish. All pasta is made fresh so it feels light and energetic, nothing like regular pasta. The flavors in all three pasta and two fish dishes were just perfect! I LOVE their artichoke app as well. And do not miss the Baratta to start. OHH, the warm rolls and flavored EVOO gets you ready for MORE. Run, don't walk there and it's BYOB. You pay a great price for food that is well worth it.
