The food was outstanding, the service was excellent. The placed was packed, so there was a loud conversation hum. Time between placing order and being served was pleasantly short. Waitresses were very friendly. Can highly recommend the filet mignon and the sea bass. We'll be back.
Incredibly delicious and innovative food - doesn't matter what you order - it's all exceptionally good.
This is without a doubt, the best restaurant on the main line. The service is spot on and the food is consistently outstanding. The restaurant recently brought back a number of their favorite items and added new items.
my husband and I favorite neighborhood gem. Have never been disappointed, we look forward to returning just as we are leaving.
Having dinner with a close friend. Food was good and we were attended to.
Excellent in every way. Unassuming frontage but everything is great inside.
Everything was stellar for us the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted by a very lovely, friendly Hostess. The menu was eclectic and looked amazing. The faces of the other people who are already seated and eating we’re very happy. We shared two appetizers and a main course. Every morsel of food was delicious. No room for dessert. We will come back for sure
Great restaurant! Phylly and I love the food and service here.
Food was excellently prepared. Attentive staff. The environment was very spacious with cleaniness.
new expanded 'post -covid' menu is fresh, expansive, and unique. Best of the area at the momnet. Everything well done. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious.
The food was amazing also I want to thank the owners daughter Elizaveta she was an amazing young lady helpful and very sweet !!
We went with my in laws to celebrate our anniversary. The food and service were excellent. I would recommend this hidden gem to everyone in the Philadelphia area!
The menu offers a bit of something for everyone: lovely fish dishes, beef and lamb …
plus, foie gras for a starter. It was delicious. The only thing I didn’t care for was the house salad dressing: it had the flavor of soy which I can’t stand. I’d rather they offer a “choice” of dressings or just keep it simple with do it yourself oil and vinegar. Otherwise, it was a tasty meal and everything came out perfectly timed and hot.
Excellent food and service in a small but comfortable space. Brought our iwn wine.
As always , The Choice, never disappoints! Delicious food, great atmosphere and service!
I have never seen a smaller restaurant like this have so many entree and appetizer selections. Is that why they call it "The Choice" ? Have dined here twice over the summer, tried different things each visit and was more than satisfied. Family owned with nice service.
The Choice is small, family owned and run. The food is over the top…I am looking forward to returning soon!
The food was excellent and the spot was quaint. It’s definitely someplace we will be returning in the future.
Appears to be a family run spot with a really extensive menu for the size of the place. Everything we ordered - 2 salads and 2 fish dishes - was delicious. Will certainly dine here again soon.
Definitely a local gem---the kind of food you'd typically have to go downtown to find. It's family-owned and that care and attention is evident in all they do. Amazing place.
We had an amazing meal celebrating my husbands birthday. I had the tuna tartar appetizer which was beyond delicious and the halibut Almondine. Husband had Octopus appetizer and the other Halibut entree which he very much enjoyed. The menu has something for everyone.
Food was outstanding. Our party of four enjoyed every bite of our appetizers, meals and desserts. Everything was superbly cooked and the flavors were so well balanced and delicious. We were seated next to regulars who recommended, well, everything on the menu. What a fun, delicious find. Can’t wait to go back.
The food is truly outstanding. The service is attentive. A gem.
The Choice is consistently excellent. This is a gem on the Main Line, and we think the best restaurant. The menu is creative, the presentation artistic, the food wonderful. Great value.
Excellent food .. nice atmosphere .. the chefs sons were adorable!
Best restaurant in the area. Food and service are amazing! You won’t be disappointed!
The Choice continues to be an exceptional quality consistent restaurant in the Mainline. The veal chop was superbly prepared, with two choices of accompanying delicious sauces and the most wonderful potatoes. We also tried the Canton duck, another exceptional entree. We can’t return to sample more of the talented chef’s cuisine.
It was nice to find a restaurant open on a Monday night. We liked the menu and decided to give it a try. Our server was very nice and attentive. Our food, on the other hand, was disappointing across the board.
My starter, scallops wrapped in shredded filo dough could fairly be described as scallops wrapped in shredded wheat. It tasted great but the wrap was annoying, much of it falling to the table and creating a mess. My entree, spare ribs in a bed of mashed potatoes, one of my favorites, lacked texture. The meat was mushy and the gravy had a burn aftertaste. My wife chose not finish her sea bass.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner on. Friday night. The ambience is great and the decor inside really reminds you of an European cafe. The staff was super professional and very friendly. They gave us plenty of time to look at the menu and decide what to get. We ordered the duck confit salad to share, which was really good! The duck was cooked really well and flavorful. The salad wasn't drowned in dressing so you could actually taste everything. It was a bit sweet for our taste but overall still a good dish. For entrees, my husband got the short rib and I got the wild caught sea bass wrapped in potato with creamed leek and red sauce. My husband liked the short rib but thought the portion was a bit small. I really didn't like my sea bass. The whole fish was wildly under seasoned and the creamed leek/red wine sauce mixture really didn't go well with the fish. It also had a weird texture, which made it difficult to eat. Overall, I really liked the place itself but the food was disappointing even though we had to pay a decent amount. I would recommend for someone who wants to try new things and maybe order something that's not a sea bass?
This is such a gem! The chef easily accommodated a food allergy. There menu has a wide array of choices. The foie gras was lovely and delicate serve with brioche, fig and nectarines. The tuna tartare was also amazing with finely diced avocado, micro greens and handmade chips. We also tried the beet carpaccio with goat cheese- the beets were beautifully sliced and served with delicate and tangy quenelles of goat cheese. The halibut almandine did not disappoint! Again, the chef executed a delicate hand with the preparation accompanied by a beautiful lemon butter sauce on the side. Our server was gracious, knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating. We will be back!
Lovely time. Food great. We weren’t rushed.
Excellent dinner and nice ambience
This was my first visit to The Choice, recommended by my friend and dining partner.
The menu had so many exquisite food choices. I wanted to taste everything, which I only had that pleasure a few times. Our server could not have been more patient, b/c, I had a difficult time deciding what to order. It was a lovely relaxing dining experience and will certainly return many times. BYOB
delicious food with excellent service and very friendly and welcoming staff. can't wait to return for more.
Excellent experience! Lovely attentive and professional service. Exceptional food- delicious and beautifully presented. Will definitely be back!
The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. The waitstaff is very nice and accommodating.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem on the mainline. Can’t believe we’ve not been there before. The atmosphere is simple and casual, small restaurant, fresh flowers on the table. Not pretentious at all.
This was the first time for all of us. We want to go back again this week …it was so good! We went with some friend and tried 5 different appetizers (all were fantastic) and our entrees were incredible. Standouts: yellowtail sashimi, chicken pate, seafood soup snd octopus were fabulous! The presentation is beautiful snd the food is some of the best if not the best on the mainline. The Chilean sea bass with truffle sauce and the veal tomahawk both were delicious. Everything is homemade, with such incredible flavors. I’ve been dieting and would have passed on dessert, but we had to try since everything else was so good. The apple pie with vanilla Ice cream and molten chocolate are a must. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife- he is the chef, she waits on tables. The service was fantastic. This is our new favorite place - it’s BYOB too. We eat out a lot on the mainline and in the city. This charming little restaurant should be in your list to try if you have not
We sat outside. The inside seemed a bit dark on a beautiful summer evening. The food was wonderful. Duck done perfectly. Service was the best I've had recently in these post pandemic times. The entrée prices were a bit high, but I'm glad to pay if that ensures excellent service.
The previous time we ate at this restaurant was in early 2020 just before the start of the pandemic. At that time we were very impressed by the food. Now, more than a year later we returned and were absolutely blown away by how good the food is at this restaurant. I had the sea bass and my dining partner had the duck, both dishes were delicious. The food at The Choice is easily as good as any of the better restaurants found in the city . Needless to say we’ll be returning again very soon.
