   I would absolutely recommend this to any party. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience. We went for our anniversary, which was noted on the booking. The lady at the front passed us a lovely little congratulations card and glass of Prosecco each. Our sever was extremely pleasant, kept checking on us and they were all very professional but friendly. The food was gorgeous and perfect amounts to fill you up for not too bad a price! We had the fish and chicken skewers. The decor in the restaurant really made up the experiment, it was beautiful and although busy was actually quite peaceful. Will definitely be returning

   Loved the place, the decor and ambiance is great. Food wasn’t as good as we expected as my son had bought us vouchers and recommended it. My husband had a mushroom pizza and he did complain that there were hardly any mushrooms on it!! I had lamb which was very salty. Our starters and desserts were lovely, it was a shame about the main meals. We were given complimentary drinks after we complained but i was upset as it was a xmas present from my son. I think it’s something to look at as normally I would have recommended it but am unsure if I would do now.

   Great food and a great service, My partner turned up a little late and I explained to the guy who looked like he was the manager and he said it was fine. We had a lovely meal and the staff were really nice, this was my first visit to the Cherry Tree and I thoroughly enjoy my time there. I would highly recommend have a visit.

   Great service, nice food. However it wasn’t hot enough. We had the Sunday Roast, mash , roast potatoes and gravy were “warm”. Had several meals before no issue but not best this time. Considering the cost which is possibly most expensive roast in area. Taste was very good but needs to be hot, goes without saying.

   Went to the entertainment night and it was fantastic, great way to spend an evening . The food was as good as usual , I put a 4 star for value because we drank a lot which made the bill eye watering 😂. Can’t wait for the next one!

    Visited for mum’s birthday with the family for a treat as it’s on the expensive side. Food was good but the steak and onion sandwich wasn’t at all as good I expected so wouldn’t get that again. We love the Cherry Tree though so will definitely visit again.

    Visited today for my son’s birthday lunch. The food was excellent- some imaginative dishes I’ve not seen elsewhere and good vegetarian choices. Our server was excellent and attentive. A really nice occasion.

    Moved to the area recently and had heard great things about The Cherry Tree. It did not disappoint! Great food, particularly loved the hoisin duck garlic bread (what a combination) and the Tikka Spiced Salmon. Value for money, very nice inside and good service.     A great dining experience as always! Lovely food, pleasant and attentive, friendly staff and great atmosphere. The restaurant had experienced issues with staff who hadn't turned up in the kitchen but we would never have known. The food arrived promptly and was excellent quality!!     First the good things, the Cherry Tree at Blackrod is very smart and presentable, it is very well decorated and the staff are all liveried, ie have a standard uniform, it is very nice to see. The Cherry Tree is a couple of plastic Cherry trees in the middle of the room, the effect is bright and cheery and make the restaurant look very nice to sit in. Combined with the smart decor , nicely spaced tables and attentive staff, it is a nice place to be. Our party enjoyed the food, it was tasty, though asking for additional gravy was a mistake, as it was added to bill (though there was no mention at the time, that there would be an additional charge). Menus supplied, fancy and glossy things, again nicely presented. Hmm though this is where things unfortunately took a turn for the worse. 1) a big faux pas, no obvious allergen list on the menu (apparently there was a disclaimer listed at the very bottom of the menu in tiny writing, but none of our party saw it.) 2) no notice of allergens used against any of the dishes. 3) when ordering, no mention that my dish had peanuts, one allergy that will definitely ruin my day. (The waitress announced later she asked the table if there were allergies, but none of our party heard any mention of it, if I had been warned there were peanuts I definitely would have reacted!) - 1 star lost When the dish was brought out it I thankfully spotted that it had peanuts in, I noticed and asked the waitress for a replacement. The manager was summoned, the first thing he said (before I had chance to say anything) was not "Sorry" or "Our mistake", but spoke defensively "Our servers always ask the table for allergens". I was taken aback, it was not how I expected to be treated. - 2nd star lost When we came to pay, I noticed that they had charged me for doubles rather than the singles 2 Gin & Tonics - 3rd star lost. Definitely some work to do here, especially with allergens on the menu.

    As good as always it’s a really good experience with the food and overall experience. I only took one star off the overall as I didn’t particularly think the pate dish was as good as I expected but that’s not spiked a great afternoon.

    Went to our favourite place on Saturday, the food was amazing has usual,and after our meal we went and sat in the back garden, were there was a DJ playing some good music, it was waiter service to the tables , all the staff were brilliant Jordan kitt and brydon were brilliant making sure we was ok for drinks, even making sure I was warm when the sun went down, giving my a cherry tree blanket great touch,cherry tree is a brilliant place for food and drinks, all the staff are on the ball and very good at there jobs , can’t wait to go back. Paul is great always looks after you you deserve to do well too bloke 😀

    We had an impromptu lunch on Saturday afternoon. The food and service from our waiter was impeccable. I was a little disappointed when we left to sit outside with our drinks after we had eaten and paid out bill; the hostess followed us outside, and asked if we had dined and asked if we had paid for our drinks. She had booked us in so she knew we had dined and also you have to book with a credit card to dine so there would be no need to chase anyone for a bottle of water and a pint of peroni when they go and sit outside. It was just a little bit offensive. Overall though I love the cherry tree and try to dine here about once every 6 weeks

    Lovely restaurant. Staff very good. Choice on main menu for a warm hot sunny day a little limited. The noise in the restaurant from the background music was annoying my personal opinion is you don't need the music as the atmosphere and the chatter from the tables is more than enough.

    We were coming down from Scotland to meet my parents for dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday. They live 2 hours south and it was 3 hours for us so we thought Chorley was a good middle ground. I spent at least 6 hours researching on trip advisor and Google reviews and must have looked at menus of at least 100 restaurants locally. I am very fussy and wanted it to be perfect. I wanted the interior to be visually impressive, but also wanted a delicious sounding menu and sometimes finding the two together seems an impossible task at times! Eventually I came across the Cherry Tree, at first I loved it due to the interior pics I see - my mom loves flowers and I am obsessed with cherry blossoms so thought it had the wow factor visually and then when I saw the menu I was sold! My mom enjoys tropical flavours being from South Africa and I knew the passion fruit cocktail would appeal! as would the coconut and mango cheesecake for dessert. We are both foodies and I am a baker by profession so the dessert menu is always where I head first and often they are lacking and are the same old boring offerings so we loved the inventive desserts. We were all 6 of us blown away by the incredible food, stylish surroundings and most of all the faultless service. It's not often you have a meal out with nothing you can fault but we did - they even had a birthday card waiting for my mom at the table which was the loveliest touch. Ethan was our waiter and was attentive and great the whole evening. They brought a special birthday dessert to our table (a different waitress brought this) and then as we left she especially said to my mom 'happy birthday again'! which my mom was so touched about. We stayed overnight at the LDS temple which is just 15 mins away so although we live in Scotland we will be recommending the Cherry Tree to our LDS friends who come to visit from UK wide as somewhere they should definitely pay a visit too. A truly memorable night and I was so pleased we found you!

    Another fabulous lunch at the Cherry Tree. We are on a Friday at 2pm just before the final May Bank Holiday. The restaurant was not full but the atmosphere was just perfect for a mature couple. We were delighted to be served by Emma who was apparently on her first day. Emma was mature although very young by our standards and she was very friendly, professional and able to engage in polite banter. The service was top notch and the food could not be faulted. I had Sea Bass and my partner has Salmon. Both perfectly cooked and presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the Cherry Tree is just a great place to dine in comfort in a friendly atmosphere.     We have been to Cherry Tree many times and always enjoyed it. This time we weren't so impressed. The food was excellent as always as was the service. However , while we appreciate everything has gone up , we felt the food in general was overpriced; my husband had a palova for dessert...it was tiny...no more than two .mouthfulls...and that was nearly £10! The other thing we weren't happy about was that at one point we felt we were in a children's nursery with children shouting and babies crying...not very conducive to an intimate lunch. Surely it would be better to have a separate area for families?

    Booked the Cherry Tree to celebrate my sons 30th birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We didn't feel rushed and staff were really helpful, putting the sides of the outdoor area down when it became a little cooler. Would definitely recommend people to go.
