Welcome to The Chequers, Hainford | Country Pub & Dining Room | We're opening on the 17th June. Come back soon to see our new menu, crafted by Executive Chef Pete Murrell and his team.

Nestled in the Norfolk village of Hainford, you’ll find beautiful, exposed beams, authentic stone floors and open fire places inside this 18th Century thatched country pub & dining room.

A country pub through and through serving local ales, artisan spirits and a menu full of the best seasonal produce curated by Executive Chef Pete Murrell and his team. Starters very uninspiring. Main course to much gravy and Veg & potatoes not hot enough. Also waitress spilt gravy over my trousers didn't say anything perhaps she didn't notice

Most of the vegetables were cold along with the gravy Finished main course ordered desserts long wait between courses Where we were sat was very dark

What a lovely place this is, beautiful surroundings and beautiful pub to visit and eat. Plenty of character and very tasty delicious food and drinks. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Thank you for a lovely evening. 😊😊

The food was excellent, highly recommended the Sunday roast. The young waitress was so nice and very well clued up on the drinks menu, definitely an asset to the restaurant. This was our second visit and it won’t be the last.

Excellent food for Mother’s Day. Very different ingredients and perfectly presented. Such creative menu which we loved!

Most of us had roast it tasted really good but it was not warm enough Very slow service We sat outside but not warm enough xx
