   After a day at the seaside, The Chequers was the perfect stop on the way home for a large group of us at fairly short notice. The Sunday roast was superb, the setting was lovely and the staff were great. We will be back!

   First time visiting for a Sunday lunch as just moved to area, from start to finish the service and food was second to none. Will definitely be returning

   We were served with a smile and the food was delicious, felt so welcome. We would definitely recommend. And are going back soon to try more of the menu.

   An amazing experience,first time back under the new management and we were not disappointed. We'll certainly be returning as the food , service and all round it was a very enjoyable experience

   Probably the best roast we've had in a long time. Couldn't fault anything and the gravy was delicious. We didn't have room for a dessert but they sounded lovely.

   We were welcomed in and enjoyed a very good experience, The food was excellent and the service was as good, well done Mel and your crew, we will definitely be back for more!

   Beautiful interior, comfortable and welcoming. We had four toddlers with us, they could not have been kinder or more understanding. They brought toys to the table for them and food came really quickly. Food delicious and excellent service. Very excited to return for a proper kid free dinner!

    Great improvement on before, its a was very relaxing atmosphere comfortable seats , we went at lunchtime in the week so was quiet, l knew before l went there was a limited menu but tried something out of the norm for me and was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go again in the future, and yes definitely would be more accommodating to children they are even included on the menu 🤣 and dog owners whom likes to take their furry friend with them the owners / manager has a lovely dog that is very friendly and welcoming . I hope the new venture all the best we need this to work for the local community especially so hope people show their support 😊
