The Chef and I
Folks can choose to order off the menu or do a chef’s tasting seven days a week.
We offer a chef’s tasting at two levels: five or seven courses; a culinary experience comprised of what’s in season and what the chefs are inspired to share with you that day.
Additionally, we offer regular menus for lunch, brunch, dinner, and happy hour. Executive Chef Chris Rains and his staff carefully curate these menus seasonally.
Counter (Show Kitchen) seating is limited and generally requires a reservation. If you desire Counter (Show Kitchen) seating, please select "counter" seating when you make your reservation.
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Any reservations cancelled within 24 hours of the reservation date/time is subject to a $20 per seat charge.

Caramelized Cauliflower with Local Whipped Goat Cheese
Pan roasted cauliflower seasoned with fresh herbs and sea salt served on grilled focaccia crostini with whipped goat cheese, pistachio pesto, candied nuts and local honey
Jumbo Sea Scallops*
A half pound of Jumbo fresh Northeastern sea scallops, pan caramelized then basted over a spiced lemon basmati and red Himalayan rice, served with a cucumber raita, toasted pistachios, green curry coconut sauce and a cherry pepper relish
Pan Roasted Crispy Duck and Waffles*
Farm raised rendered crispy skinned duck breast, basted in duck fat and cooked medium rare, sliced over duck fat infused waffles, macerated maple blackberries and sage butter
We went for our 2 year wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our time spent here. The food and service exceeded our expectations. Todd was really helpful and his recommendations were spot on!
Food was very gourmet and upscale wonderful flavors for the pallet, service was very intimate and refreshing Mike was our host chef and also was very informative about the restaurant and foods on the menu. I would definitely recommend this diamond in the rough for a date night or just to explore a different experience in the dining arena prices was moderate compared with the quality of the food so prepare to spend at lease about 120.00 for two shareable meals one main course one beer two cocktails and one dessert, Wow! to think about it that's quite a bit for the price!
It was our first time this evening and wow we were impressed. The open kitchen set up is so fun and enjoyable. The service and drinks were great. The food was beyond amazing. A+ all around. Already looking forward to going back!

Enjoyed the tartare, a little heat with an OO drizzle on the plate was nice. Super fun to sit by the kitchen and watch them work. Great bar- drinks were delicious.
Will not disappoint. The salmon belly appetizer was amazing, I had the scallops and they were seared to perfection, hubby had the hanger steak that was cooked to perfection.
Coffee and dessert to finish off a fabulous meal. Oh, the service was just as good as the food!!

Delicious chef’s selection, but the dining experience took about 3 hours in total due to wait time in between dishes. Overall a great experience because of the amazing food, but would like a shorter wait time between dishes in the future.

We went to the chef and I for my husbands birthday and it was such a great experience. We were both skeptical of the chef 7 course picks but we went with it and it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was so amazing and went together so perfectly. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who asks and we will be back for sure. The chefs talk to you directly and make sure everything is amazing. We got to sit up at the counter to see all of the action which I would definitely recommend. We ordered two desserts and at the end of the night the waitress gave us both desserts for free because it was my husbands birthday. I loved everything about this experience!

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch after our son's graduation from Vanderbilt. The CARAMELIZED CAULIFLOWER WITH LOCAL WHIPPED GOAT CHEESE appetizer was SO delicious we had to order a second order of it. The CARAMELIZED BRUSSELS SPROUTS AND HOUSE BACON was also amazing. I highly recommend the FARM RAISED DUCK BREAST AND BRIE BENEDICT and the PAN ROASTED CRISPY DUCK AND WAFFLES. Finally, we had so much fun making our own personalized mimosa's with the MIMOSA BRUNCH BUCKET. It was also fun to watch the chef and sous chefs work.

The brunch was so, so yummy! The Brussels were to die for, the best I’ve eaten! The smoked salmon was very good, lobster bisque was the creamiest. Nothing disappointed. Still my favorite restaurant in Nashville.

Small atmospheric place with open kitchen and very good to excellent ingredients. Food was well prepared and wine list was not long, but well represented and very reasonable.
We had so much fun! We were visiting with friends and celebrating their 30th anniversary. We ordered several appetizers to share. The food was delicious and our waitress, Autum, was superb!

Went here with 3 of my employees. Sat at the chef's counter. 2 of us had the 5-course tasting menu and 2 of us had 7 courses. Its. A LOT. of Food! but sooooooo delicious.
The food tasted amazing and was super innovative. Our server Todd was outstanding. The garage doors being open may have helped with the above average amount of noise that went a touch beyond high energy in my opinion. Great, great restaurant.
Great food and experience. Disappointed that this was the third time to visit them during their weekend brunch to specifically get shrimp and grits and they did not have them again. Also my server suggested I order the duck medium and then proceeded to bring it to the table medium rare. A server that is present and connecting with customers would have recognized this and corrected the problem before serving.
Both dishes were amazing. One of the best brunches in Nashville.
