THE CHATHAM CUT offers an especially unique, intimate dining experience.

We specialize in freshly-cut meats. Our steaks are freshly-cut every day.

The Chatham Cut does NOT use pre-packaged previously cut pre-weighed plastic-wrapped meat, or cook our steaks using the "Sous Vide," method as many other non-specialist restaurants do. Every "Cut," is fresh, which offers the special flavor profile our guests have searched for.

Our offerings are prepared in the true steakhouse old-world tradition. Side options are also steakhouse traditional, with fresh vegetables as well as loaded baked potatoes.

For those who love seafood, we offer our oysters, sourced from within walking distance and many exciting spins on traditional offerings. The Cut's Yellowfin Tuna is popular as a Tartar as well as our Sushi-Grade Entree.

    We are definitely planning a return trip! The staff is attentive, and personable. The steak was cooked perfectly for each of our dishes. I topped off with crème brûlée … and I was glad I did !

    Our first time visiting great overall experience with Serviss was outstanding and the food was equally so. Nice atmosphere as well.

    Our party of 5 all ordered different entrees and we shared several apps to start. Each of us was delighted by their choice. Service and ambiance are both outstanding even with a packed house. Hats off to Chatham Cut for delivering another first class dinner experience.

    Great burger! Great service. Bartender created a cocktail for me since they did not have the vodka I desired.

    What was once our go to local restaurant (hard to find for us who live here full time), we won’t be returning. First let’s touch upon what was great - the service. Our server, Ellen, was top notch. Attentive without being overbearing. At the ready to assure everything is to our liking. The ambiance is lovely. The decor is moody which we love. The manager who came over to check on my meal when he noticed it wasn’t being touched was very attentive as well and tried to please. Here’s where we go south…. The food quality is very poor. Their prime rib USED to be top notch. It is now a sub par grade beef that turned into a $50 treat for my lab. I first ordered an end cut which is usually the most tender cut but was shoe leather. That went back for a middle cut done rare. It came out medium with again, a tough state. No expected layer of fat that accompanies a great cut which yields flavor and tenderness. This was lean, tough and absolutely tasteless. I had my husband try and he too commented how tasteless it was. I did not return the dish. I decided it was going to be a dinner of underdone truffle fries and Caesar salad (which was bagged salad, not fresh). To the owners: whatever happened since the former several years excellent experiences that we had I hope you correct. Otherwise, you will find you will become another cape cod relic of a memory to the area with an empty parking lot. You have a ready audience but we expect quality. Not the typical Sysco/US foods garbage that most meh establishments peddle. You’ve lost two more faithful local patrons.

    Thank you for your detailed feedback. I’m glad Ellen provided excellent service and appreciate you noting my attention when I saw that your meal wasn’t being enjoyed. I must respectfully correct two points: we make fresh salads daily with local greens, not bagged lettuce, & we don’t use Sysco/US Foods - we source directly from local suppliers However, your prime rib experience was completely unacceptable. Both cuts being tough and flavorless is a serious failure I’m addressing with our kitchen & supplier. No guest should experience what you did, especially at our price points. While I’ve corrected the factual points, the core issue remains - we failed to deliver the quality you deserve after years of loyalty. I sincerely apologize and would welcome discussing this further.     Here is the bad - Quite possibly the worst strip steaks we have ever had, we graded them as selectcuts, not even choice. Although the steaks were cooked correctly, they lacked flavor and the sauces were not good either. The mashed potatoes were cold and stiff, Bob Evan’s refrigerator potatoes are so much better. Creamed spinach had an odd flavor and the grilled spinach was bitter and it wasnt the garlic, just terrible! Waitress more concerned with regulars and kavitzing with the other staff, couldn't get a second bottle of wine and the waitress forgot the sodas. The good - the apps were fantastic!! Beef tartar, tuna tartar, and crab cakes! Short rib was delicious and so were the mushrooms and French Fries. They also have some premium wines but we could only get 1 bottle. Manager came over and asked how the steaks were cooked and was walking away while asking. If you want a steak, skip this place and make the drive elsewhere.

While we source quality steaks, we clearly missed the mark Friday evening. I’m glad you enjoyed the appetizers & short rib - this shows our kitchen can deliver.
