The Chateau in Braintree serves diners classic Italian cuisine in a casual and friendly setting. The restaurant has an extensive menu that offers dishes to please meat-eaters as well as vegetarians. Appetizers include items such as toasted ravioli, meatballs and ricotta and fried or Rhode Island style calamari. Diners can also choose to start their meal with one of The Chateau’s many salad or soup options, such as the chopped salad or homemade minestrone. Dinner options at The Chateau include sandwiches such as chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana or grilled Italian sausage, or pasta dishes such as spaghetti, penne and angel hair. Each pasta dish is served with your choice of tomato sauce, marinara or garlic and oil.

I like the food, but wish it was warmer. Food seems to cool off very quickly.

We had ordered the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and they were not heated all the way through the center was still hard cheese and not melted. We had also ordered a large cheese pizza to be cooked well done and it was not. Please note I didn’t ask to send anything back. We just dealt with it at the time.

The food (Mussels App and Caesars Salad, and Haddock St Germain) was excellent and was the service provided by Marie M. We will be back again!

Great value and tasty food. More crowded than I expected early on Sat afternoon. Drinks were ok.

This was my first (but not my last!) time at The Chateau. It could not have been a more enjoyable experience. Everything was perfect from the food to the atmosphere to the service. I met done friends there for lunch and we are already making plans to go back! Our server, Marie, was friendly, attentive, and accommodating.
