                                                      We always love the Black Point Inn. Went this time with a salad and simple cheeseburger. Both were very good. Especially the Roots and Fruits Salad. Also love the Strawberry Fields specialty drink. No better view in Maine. If the weather is nice we like sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch with an after dinner drink.

                                                      Lovely easy to celebrate a birthday. Crab cakes crisp and full of Maine crab! Blueberry pie was the perfect way to celebrate at the end of the meal, sweet berries with a flaky crust and a lemon sauce was a dream dessert!

                                                      Great view from deck though it is blocked a lot by the plants. Good was great. Service was very good though I have two nits: 1) he did not ask us about our anniversary until the end (we made the reservation for an anniversary) and 2) we asked twice for a bag for our doggie bags and they forgot both times. Overall though, it's a great spot

                                                      The atmosphere is very nice, beautiful view and very cozy feeling. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was okay, my wife had a ceaser salad with salmon, the salmon was lacking flavor. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, it had a very spicy topping which overpowered the chicken, which was very thin, beer battered and again lacked flavor. The table we were seated at was two small tables pushed together, they were not level with each other causing my daughter to spill her glass of wine. Overall an okay experience if you just want drinks with a view in a cozy setting. I would not go there for a meal though.

                                                      We sat on the deck overlooking the ocean-such a beautiful atmosphere. I don't recall our server's name, but she was lovely and provided top-notch service. My daughter and I both ordered the Roots & Fruits salad with grilled chicken. It was described as: ROOTS & FRUITS - Mixed Greens, Spiced Pecans, Dried Blueberries, Asiago Cheese, Maple Balsamic. It came with romaine lettuce, which was a bit brown on the ribs, plain pecans and not a root in sight. I asked the server when she checked in and she agreed and checked in with the kitchen. She explained the kitchen said it would be adding roots to the salad at a later date. I didn't want to make a big deal about the romaine and plain pecans, but honestly, it was a disappointment. I'm not even sure why they opted for dried blueberries when most places in the area use fresh fruit when berries are on a salad in the summer. My husband's turkey club was fine, but it was not on the menu stated sourdough. Instead it was a Texas type toast, still good, though.

                                                      My wife and I had a Fabulous Evening last night. Our Server and the Whole Team were Outstanding. Tremendous Esprit de Corp. Food Perfect. We are friends with Darren, the dazzling Sax Player with the Wonderful Group that played delightful music for a Dream Evening at The Black Point Inn. Thanks So Much. Glen York
