    The Rooftop was a great stop before and after dinner. The bone marrow is delicious, hands down best appetizer on the menu. The short ribs, halibut, and roasted chicken were also excellent!

    In our party of four, we were all very happy with our meals. Well cooked and delicious! Attentive service. Beautiful building. It's a bit loud, but we were still able to converse comfortably.

    As always, Charmant restaurant’s food was excellent. However, the service was very poor. From not refilling our waters, to forgetting to bring a beer altogether, to not refilling the our glasses of wine from the bottle we purchased (instead, I was handed the bottle by the waitress to pour myself), to bringing the bill (after we requested it, long after we were done eating), while dirty main dishes we still pilled on the table. The atmosphere and food were great, however, this poor service makes me hesitate before returning to this restaurant.

    We stayed at the Charmant and had brunch on Sunday before we left. I recommend reservations as the restaurant was completely full. We had reservations for 10:45 and were seated right away. Food and drinks were excellent. I highly recommend the mushroom tartine, so good, as well as the cornmeal pancakes. The bloody mary was good, the beer chaser was a light beer made for the Charmant by the Pearl Street Brewery in La Crosse, loved it. Great experience all around.

    We enjoyed our brunch so much Saturday, we went back on Sunday. They accommodated our late requests for our party of nine by squeezing us in to two adjacent tables. Everybody’s food was great, although my wife ordered the farm scramble again since it was so good on Saturday and it was a bit cold and dry. Everybody else loved their dishes.

    We were in LaCrosse visiting relatives and took them to lunch. The restaurant is very nicely done and a great location. The server was attentive and the food was well presented and prepared. Definitely would return, with one caveat. One of our guests is disabled and uses a walker. There are no handicap spaces in front and getting into the restaurant was a challenge due to the brick pavers by all doors. This should be addressed. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

    As always, it was a lovely dining experience. Our server, Maggie, was very attentive. We started our meal by sharing the Baked Brie. Our entrees, the salmon and the scallops, were delicious. Nice wine selection as well.

    My sister and I both have food allergies and this staff was fantastic plus very attuned to our individual needs - neither of us had to worry about it. The view, staff, atmosphere and food were fantastic! Loved this experience!!

    The reservation app indicated no reservations were available on Thursday, June 22, except on the roof. I made a reservation for noon, only to find out that the roof was not open and nobody was in the restaurant when we arrived. We did eat downstairs. Service was slow.

    The Charmant was an excellent choice for our anniversary. The service was amazing and food superb. The staff had a personalized card on our table congratulating us on our anniversary. The complimentary dessert was an added bonus we were not expecting. The entire experience was the highlight of our evening.

    We love stopping here anytime we pass through LaCrosse. The charming space and friendly staff remain, but over the years the variety of the menu and quality of the food has declined. The last few times we’ve been surprisingly disappointed in our food. Unfortunately I have to say this visit will have been our last as the menu just simply doesn’t make it worth returning.

    We ordered chick croissants and there was hardly any chicken in the salad. There was a few pieces of egg and that was about all. The salad on the side was all greens and no dressing with it. The French fries were dry. We have eaten breakfast here before and it was excellent the lunch was not yesterday. We have stayed overnight at the hotel and had a great time years ago. It was disappointing as we had friends with us that hadn’t been to the restaurant before. The drinks were good.
