Getting seated by another group with a screaming baby and the fact it was cramped where they set us was greatly disappointed.

We was the first ppl in there and the oysters was supposed to be Rockefeller but was extra slimy. Also the crab fingers she didn’t ask me what flavor and just gave me what to assumed. I would definitely come back to try other things but my first experience was definitely rated as a 6.4. The drinks was good

Amazing food. Ambiance was amazing. One thing I would say is that service could have been a little better. I did put that we were celebrating our 13th anniversary when booking on open table. I’m not sure if that info is passed to the server but it definitely wasn’t acknowledged. I think that would have made the experience more memorable if the server was just a little more engaged.

I ordered medium steak with eggs and had to send it back twice and just order something else & settled for the pancakes which were subpar as well as the turkey bacon. I will like to try again because maybe it was an off day, but I was not satisfied at the end of the day.

I visited The Charlotte American Bistro to celebrate my birthday with friends, and unfortunately, it was underwhelming across the board. First off—no birthday perks. Not even a complimentary dessert or a simple gesture, which was disappointing for what was supposed to be a special night. For appetizers, I had the Biryani Spiced Chicken Wings. While they were fried crispy like traditional wings, they lacked the promised spice. They tasted like basic fried chicken with no real seasoning depth. My entrée was the Cajun Truffle Mafaldine with Blackened Chicken, which was incredibly bland. I asked for crushed red pepper just to add something to the dish, but it still lacked flavor. Nothing about it said “Cajun” or “truffle.” I also tried the Pornstar Martini and Peach Bellini—both were just okay. Not bad, but definitely not worth the price. One thing I was looking forward to was dining with one of the restaurant’s giant teddy bears (a cute detail often shown in photos). Sadly, no teddy at our table, which was a missed opportunity for a fun vibe. The ambience didn’t live up to expectations—the space was just average, not the glam or stylish setting social media suggested. On top of that, the restaurant was noticeably warm, and my guests had to use handheld fans. We even requested extra ice multiple times just to stay cool. To make matters worse, there were flies and gnats inside the restaurant, which was not only unpleasant but really off-putting while eating. The only highlight? They offer complimentary valet, which was convenient. Overall, the experience felt like a more expensive version of Applebee’s—with less flavor. From the food to the environment, nothing justified the hype or the cost. I went once, and that was more than enough. Overpriced, underwhelming, and not worth a return visit.
