The food and ambience were outstanding. Great cocktails and wine. They seem rushed to keep you ordering and get you out of there, that is my only complaint. Our bill was about 250.00 for 2 people, I think 2 hours is standard but they keep following up to progress you to the next course.

All of the food was very salty. The steaks were prepared well and to the correct doneness.

I expected more from a place this expensive. To be fair the food was good, though overpriced for what it was. Past that, unfortunately, they just totally blew it on the details. Dirty plates, terrible beer selection (Peroni is a light-damaged skunked beer, canned Guinness for $11?, get a nice crisp pilsner in there and a strong ale to pair with seafood and steak respectively), little things like a lack of check presenters and huge buckets taking up table space to push sales of Voss and San Peligrino, perhaps most disappointing were the short pours on already grossly overpriced spirits (and no it wasn’t just the big glass, I know what 1.5oz is - use a jigger), tacky music, blank walls in small overcrowded rooms. If you are planning to check this place out do it when it’s nice outside and you can enjoy their beautiful patio. The baked brie was great but nothing you can’t make at home for pennies on the dollar. The salmon was superb, scallops were fantastic, just an underwhelming experience overall given the price.

We have eaten at Charleston Draper and have generally had wonderful experiences...this was not one of those. First of all, OpenTable took a 4:30 reservation, but the restaurant didn't open until 5:00. Since no one from the restaurant contacted us, we waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes. A muffled apology was the only response from the staff, and no accommodation was given, Secondly, it was the main chef's birthday, apparently and he was not there. This may explain the decline in food quality. We had the artichoke soufflé, which we have had many times to our delight...not this time. It was as if cream or cheese was missing from the regular recipe. The French onion soup was only so-so, with very bland broth and limited overall flavor. Again, we had enjoyed this before, but not this time. The crab and filet were only so-so again. The meat lacked flavor, and without the accompanying juice, it would have been a disaster. The beef was poorly trimmed and had a grisel to it. The service was not up to par either... We were there for an anniversary celebration, which we had included in our reservation. However, no mention of a special occasion was ever made. While filling my water glass, the waiter poured half a pitcher of ice and water onto the table and my lap. Summary... We won't be back for a long time; it's time to find another go-to special restaurant.
