Really awesome atmosphere and staff. The food was also great with some more unique options.
I feel that The Charleston is trying to be something it is clearly not. When it comes to fine dinning the establishment fell short from the mark. It has a cool vibe and has the potential, however it is like lipstick on a pig. I was also disappointed with the high corkage fee of $25! We frequently bring a nice bottle of wine ( we have our favorites) to pair with the menu, I have never been hit with a $25 corkage fee.. outrageous! We were going to try a old fashion cocktail, but with the corkage charge opted out as well as dessert. Salad was a bag salad.. the Lobster Bisque was yummy, the Filet was mediocre. Service was ok, young servers with not much experience but friendly. Overall I would rate The Charleston a 1.I won’t be dinning again…
Good food and ambience, but it doesn't match the price. I couldn't justify going again know the value just isn't there.
Fun atmosphere and some interesting menu items. The food was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Server was a bit slow, not very personable and seemed to have trouble going up and down stairs. Nice ambiance, good food but a bit overpriced. Having said that I’d still recommend it.
Just went for evening casual dinner with friends.
The best thing was with the patio sitting, they allowed our puppy to be with us as long as he is on leash!
They should add pet friendly part into their restaurant profile too!
Over the top service, food and ambiance !
Second special occasion at The Charleston and it never disappoints! The service and food is phenomenal. Our server was very pleasant, knowledgeable of the menu, and gave great recommendations! I will always highly recommend this place and will be coming back in the future!
Just wonderful! Beautiful setting, great food and excellent service!
The music was just a little too loud even outside. The food was pretty good, service was great. Shame they oily do brunch on weekends.
We dined at The Charleston Draper before, had a good experience, and returned with the friends. Unfortunately in a few months the restaurant went down. Once we were seated, we waited at least 15 minutes before a waitress stopped by while we've seen many waiters toiling around. Not a good start. When the appetizers came we were even more disappointed. One of the appetizers that we liked before was overcooked. The ceviche was not good. And the main courses disappointed further – my friend and I both had rib-eye steak and the meat was just bad meat... If you want the ambiance, don't care about the food, and prepared to pay premium for the privilege, you may like this place.
This is a fancier restaurant with more eloquent servings. This is not a chain restaurant. We went for our anniversary and loved it all around. If you’re expecting a cheaper chain restaurant this place is not for you. If you’re expecting a little more upscale with great ambiance, you’re in the right place.
We had the best experience. Sarah was our server and she was amazing. She insured we had the best time. Lobe the food and ambience!! Even during the rain :)
I booked through open table and specified where I wanted to sit and that it was a special occasion. Instead they sat them on the patio in the sun next to the parking lot. Spent over 300 dollars for 4 people, entrees are around 60 dollars which is more than advertised. Food was delicious but certainly not worth the price. And when your at a fine dining restaurant you don’t expect to be in the sun in front of the parking lot. This was a very special night out that I booked special. What is the point of having booking requests if they will be completely ignored. Wouldn’t pay that much to go here again.
The host didn’t seat us for 20 minutes and allowed 3 groups to get seated before us with the same number of people. Everyone had reservations for 7
First outing since moving to Utah.
The Charleston Draper is a gem! Chef Marco has created a lovely menu, the service is exceptional and they support local distilleries and breweries which I respect. We cannot wait to return!
It was our 32nd Anniversary and we decided to try your establishment. The food was exceptional as was the service. I loved that we were seated outside the only downside was the noise of the traffic but even that wasn’t too bad. The cost was a bit high but competitive for fine dining. Oh but the mushroom risotto I think I would give my first born for! The best I’ve ever had.
Lovely setting… delicious food… fabulous service!
Say on the patio and it was beautiful !
We really enjoyed brunch. The outdoor patio is spacious, the food was delicious, and everyone who works there was really nice and personable.
Awesome night at the Charleston. From getting seated to the desert, the food and service were top shelf. Looking forward to dining there again very soon.
Great food for a great price! Atmosphere was fantastic! My husband and I had a great time!
We loved the ambiance and the food was amazing! The service was cold and inattentive boarding on rude which took a little away from the whole experience.
Great place and delicious food!
Not only was it an awesome experience the food matched the price and the service was on point!!
Lovely place and wonderful food. Great place for special occasions.
Amazing experience. Wonderful staff and the food was outstanding. The ambience and live piano was quite beautiful, and really put a nice touch on the evening.
I will say that while I was compliant with the dress code, there were a number of people that were not compliant with the dress code, but were seated and seem to be having a good time. Whether you agree with a dress code or not, it is generally good practice to either enforce it or not enforce it to eliminate future confusion.
We will certainly be back, and thanks for the nice experience. I could not say nice things about the experience.
Excellent food and alcoholic drinks-full bar. Service was wonderful. This was our first time to this restaurant. It is a little more expensive, but well worth the money. We went for dinner.
Will go back for dinner, and want to try lunch there.
Used to be a great place, now is just an overpriced restaurant with ok food and terrible service.
Have not been since the old cafe became the Charleston Draper restaurant. Big change, for sure. Drinks and appetizers were excellent. The peach caprese was a fun twist. The gazpacho could use a bit more heat. The steak and crab was delicious, and the steak was excellently prepared. The scallop risotto had a wonderful sauce and the scallops were excellently prepared. The rice was not to my liking. The chocolate cake and guava cake were quite good. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was enjoyable - outside dining gets iffy in the fall. Watch the dress code if you want to eat in doors.
Really good food! Lovely atmosphere. One of my new favorite places.
Wow outstanding venue, and the outdoor dining was perfect. The pricing is a little high for Draper but the food warrants it. Fairly good wine selection however I would like to see some more Napa cabs (I know we are in Utah). I am going to be picky here... I think a little more appetizer selection would be great. Met Marco, the owner as he was hosting, really nice gentlemen. Overall great experience, yes a little pricey, but food was excellent. If you have the means to dine here, I would support this local business.
Ate outside. I was bitten by a wasp. Nasty bite. Flies, not enjoyable. People next to us were swatting away also. Need bug zappers.
Service was good, but food came out slowly. Nothing wrong with enjoying ones food but….overall food was good, but Log Haven is better. And The Block.
We absolutely love this place, it's so gorgeous to sit outside. It's very romantic and elegant. The service was awesome. Our waiters were Courtney, CJ and Brian the bartender. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, this was the prefect place to do so. We will continue to come back and refer the restaurant to our friends.
Our second time here great experience both times
The Charleston's service staff treated us great. We enjoyed our visit and will come back again. Great place for a quiet dinner date, we loved the atmosphere they have created on the patio for outdoor dining.
We love this place! The service is awesome. Mason was great! The food is incredible and we love the atmosphere. Great experience and we would always recommend.
Great place! Second time going. The steaks are to die for!
I gave lower marks for the value of the food because in my opinion, it's quite pricey for the small servings of food. $25 for a child sized portion of lobster mac and cheese is a lot of cold hard cash for a very little portion. The squash soup my wife ordered was very bland, I prefer her homemade squash soup any day over theirs. I don't tend to eat out at fancy expensive restaurants very often so maybe I am out of touch when it comes to value, but I was starving 20 minutes after I finished my meal. There were a lot of flies outside the first half of our visit, but they seemed to calm down after an individual brought over a candle (citronella maybe?). The waiter was very nice, but it did take a really long time for him to come take our order after our drinks were brought out, and it was not super busy so I don't know what the delay was all about. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, but very expensive small portions of food.
Really nice place to sit outside and have dinner. Great ambiance!!
My salad was a very small and a bit subpart
My dinner was great, but for $50 a plate, I was expecting more....
Had dinner with an old friend and his new fiancé. They wanted to eat some place with atmosphere, some wine, and a pleasant place to have a conversation. Instantly thought of The Charleston! It’s a wonderful place to enjoy visiting and eating excellent dishes. The service is professional and accommodating. The Chef is excellent with unique, light, and delicious plates.
