From the OpenTable editors: This Tex-Italian stunner was the original restaurant within the Duro Hospitality group, with sibling spots Mister Charles and El Carlos Elegante going on to make it into the MICHELIN Guide. But first, The Charles set the tone with leopard-spotted banquettes, zebra-striped chairs, golden bauble light fixtures, and other epic design details. Many come here for special occasions, to feast on pillowy lemon ricotta gnudi and octopus charred on the woodfire grill. If the evening calls for a glass of Champagne, start next door at the equally swanky Bar Charles before dinner at The Charles.

    First time here but not the last. Was given a gift card from my son for Father’s Day and the Charles was listed as one of many. We made the right decision. The place is not real large but it’s ran with perfection. Wonderful wait staff and bartenders as well as host. Management checked on us frequently. We had the special which was basically the chefs choice as I understood but was spot on. Four courses of heave. Ideal experience from valet to departure.

    The Charles, a part of the Duro Hospitality group, is simply one of the best restaurants in Dallas. Not only is the food amazing, but Harry Cox and his staff are terrific! Not only was the food, amazing, but the attendance desk and friendliness of the staff put the experience over the top! We will be back!!!
