Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: This Tex-Italian stunner was the original restaurant within the Duro Hospitality group, with sibling spots Mister Charles and El Carlos Elegante going on to make it into the MICHELIN Guide. But first, The Charles set the tone with leopard-spotted banquettes, zebra-striped chairs, golden bauble light fixtures, and other epic design details. Many come here for special occasions, to feast on pillowy lemon ricotta gnudi and octopus charred on the woodfire grill. If the evening calls for a glass of Champagne, start next door at the equally swanky Bar Charles before dinner at The Charles.

    Our second visit to this superb restaurant and it was as good as the 1st! We all had pasta dishes and they were great. I particularly liked the bucatini. Great wine list with many offered by the glass. We were in the speakeasy and it was much quieter than the main dining room. Both are great, but I prefer the speakeasy. Thanks to Charles, Harry, and Antonio for a great experience.

    We always have a fabulous time at The Charles, and last night was no exception. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, their food, and their service

    Superb food and service. One of the best restaurants I've eaten at. It is pricey but worth it. The wine list is extensive and there's a speakeasy in the back. It's a little loud which was the only drawback. We'll definitely go back.

    We had to delay our reservation/arrival twice due to late flights and they were completely agreeable when I called. Had a great table next to kitchen. Wait staff (Jill) and sommelier were great and friendly and knowledgeable. Had the chef's tasting menu (4 courses, all delicious) and an italian cabernet and left deeply satisfied. Our foodie friends from Colorado were thoroughly impressed.

    Love enjoying the best food in Dallas in the bar. Great vibes and energy. Our waiter, also Charles, was awesome, and the GM, Harry, checked in a couple times as well. Love this place.

    We had a wonderful experience and Declan our server/bartender was awesome. We had amazing service and the food was delicious. We will definately be back.
