With a supply of fresh fish caught nearby each day, our dedicated chefs prepare some of the best dishes Eastbourne has to offer. The view was amazing and the room nicely decorated but it was so quiet when we arrived as there was no audible music and nobody seemed to be talking on the other tables, probably for that reason. The waiter was young and was nice but needed some training as he walked away before we finished our order, not realising we were considering sides (although we were still looking at the menu). Also when the wine was brought he plonked it on the table with the lid on and walked off. We can obviously pour wine ourselves but he should be trained so that he is confident at what he is doing. The starters were lovely and, for the most part, the mains too. The sea bass was delicious but the veg was far too salty so I had to leave most of it. You also NEED sides as the mains were on the small side. You cook the salmon yourself, which was quirky but not mentioned on the menu and slightly embarrassing when it’s sizzling away noisily and steaming when the room is so quiet. There was quite a wait between courses and we asked to see the desert menu in the end. We had a nice evening and the food was ok but we probably won’t go back.

Absolutely the worst service ever! We didn’t even had the dinner at the end. Supposedly the booking system was down and they refused to seat us for dinner. Mind that this was really hard to believe because there were couple of empty tables and we did have the reservation.

A nice friendly restaurant with a good menu. Soon ran out of oysters!!! A little language issues but this seems to be common in Eastbourne!!

Quirky design, on the seafront and offering tasty, imaginative fish dishes. Not sure it's sure where to pitch itself in the market but the food was very good.
