Food was delicious service was impeccable
For Brunch. Good choices on menu. Food was fine. Had to wait 15 minutes after they left my food to let them know what was wrong with it since they didn’t come back.
Wow, I really hate to write a bad review, but unfortunately this meal/service deserves it. A new chef has taken control of this heritage eatery. We had eaten here several weeks ago and really felt as though the menu was fresh, interesting and worthy of a repeat visit. We ordered the “seafood bowl” that was listed as New Orleans style shrimp. It turned out to be 6 overcooked shrimp in a very dilute, tasteless liquid. I ordered the lamb, the meat, vegetables and potatoes arrived cold, not even lukewarm. It took so long to see the waiter to resolve this issue that I had to flag down the hostess to ask her to send our waiter to us, alas this took so long that my dining companions had almost finished their meal. The waiter apologized for “ the kitchens mistake “. Sorry to say it will be sometime before I will be able to return.

I love going to the Chalkboard for special occasions because I know that the food and the service are always worth it.
I had the chalkboard special “BBQ Shrimp” for dinner, and it was excellent! As was the Caesar with fried capers! Delicious. Our family loves to dine at the Chalkboard because it is so personal. We had vegetarian friends with us last night, and the chef created a special meal, just for them, that was incredible.
My wife and I went for a special occasion and received a special night. Excellent service, excellent food, on point in so many ways.

We dined at The Chalkboard to celebrate my son becoming an Eagle Scout. The food was outstanding. I had southern scallops, my son had Chilean sea bass, my husband had a steak. Everything was delicious. We also had white chocolate bread pudding and s’mores for dessert. Highly recommend the s’mores! Their menu is the perfect size to offer something for everyone. It’s all locally sourced. Our service was good. Unfortunately, there was only one person covering the dining room and he was busy. We had to ask for drink refills,bread, and other things a couple of times. I don’t blame our server at all. There were others who could be helping him but weren’t or they may have been short staffed in the kitchen. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely return.
Consistently very good food and service. They also change the menu periodically which is especially nice for regular guests.
I would recommend that you DO NOT go before a BOK event. We have tried this twice once before Elton john and before Michael Bublé. The shuttle was the attraction for us so didn’t have to drive in the traffic. We arrived at the restaurant 1hour and 10 minutes early...an hour and a half later we had only had a drink and a cheese board. We ended up leaving because concert time. It seems the lesson wasn’t learned before the Elton john concert..trying to accommodate too many with the resources. I’d definitely recommend the Chalked any other time. It’s lovely and food is wonderful! Too bad.
We have eaten at the Chalkboard for both brunch and dinner. Service is slow but not the waiter's fault. The food was tasty but their menu can be suddenly limited. For example, even though the dessert menu had 7 or 8 items, our waiter said we had 2 choices. We had reservations for 5:30 but didn't get out until 7:30.
Once again the Chalkboard lives up to its reputation. The food and menu are new. The chef is new too and very talented and creative. The service was excellent. Skipped dessert but loved the Southern Divers, scallops in cheese grits with fried pickled okra. Loved it.
Kevin, you were so amazing and helpful, laid back and so perfect for our group. The food- wow, super impressed!!!! The cheesecake- good lord. Thank you all!!!

I've always thought of The Chalkboard as a classy restaurant, so I made a reservation there for Father's Day. I didn't expect the white tablecloths to be topped with brown butcher paper! The noise level was so high, my husband and I could barely hear each other. My husband ordered Steak and eggs ($38.00). The steak had no flavor so he requested steak sauce. The waitress told him they have none since the chef uses prime meat and it doesn't "need" steak sauce. So he tried to bring out some flavor with salt (which didn't work). I think they need to get another chef! The crab benedict was flavorful, but it was not served on an English muffin and had no Hollandaise sauce, so it was disappointing. Neither of us would order the same dishes again. The manager did remove the steak dish from our bill which was a nice attempt to accommodate us, but combined with the almost unbearable noise level, we won't be going back.
We had never been to The Chalkboard, my husband wanted to try Beef Wellington. He said it was over cooked ,very little vegetables. Although he did enjoy the shrimp bowl he got for an appetizer. My hamburger was ok, messy overall. The French fries were ok but the ketchup was not good at all, so I gave the fries to my husband. For the price of the food for the overall experience we were disappointed.
We so wanted to love this restaurant but were completely underwhelmed. Every month a group of 8 try a new restaurant in either Tulsa or OKC . We are pretty easy to please but The chalkboard missed the mark. The ambiance was fine and presentation of all the meals were spot on but the quality of the meals were shall we say not up to par. Catchy names on the menu are easy on the eye but the meals were not easy on the palate. A bit pricey but not if the food was better. The adult beverages were okay. The waiter was okay. The desserts were a disaster. Creme brulee was inedible, literally, some sort of a berry mush masquerading as the real thing. Maybe a bad night? Hope so. Not inclined to try again.
The chef was very accommodating to my dietary needs.
Again, we found our Chalkboard dinner to be delightful. The food was excellent, the hummus board was the best we’ve had, the service was superb. We would be more frequent patrons if the menu also offered some not-so-exotic options in addition to their wonderfully unique dishes!
The Chalkboard is the best. This luncheon was with clients and everything was perfect!
Lovely dinner for my birthday- we did not mention the occasion but a server overheard our conversation with a friend at a nearby table and behold a dessert appeared. I thought this was a super nice touch until my husband told me they added it to our bill... I would have said something but he did not.

In general the food is pretty good at The Chalkboard.
Last Sunday night the food was terrible. The beef wellington was undercooked and inedible. The fish dish was dreadful--cold, tasteless, and the skin was still on the fish. Our guests are not knowledgeable about food and pretty much don't care what they eat, and they wouldn't eat the food.
Must have been the kitchen crew Sunday evening.

Always enjoy the Chalkboard and their Mother's Day brunch was tremendous. Great variety of interesting & unique foods, mixed with the standard choices that you expect on a brunch. Lovely location for a special day.
I made a reservation online for a party of 10 for brunch on mother’s day based off of the brunch menu and the fact that the restaurant had $$ online, meaning it was a restaurant within my families budget. I should also add, I made the reservation about three weeks in advance. When we arrived, we learned it would be a buffet with a set price per person. I was already disappointed. We then waited for about 30 minutes to be seated in the small, cramped entryway of the restaurant. The food was mediocre and wasn’t very brunch- like. Not at all like their brunch menu online. We then get our bill and we learned that it was $45 per person. Way over our budget! If I had known it would be so expensive I would have gone somewhere else. The two money signs should be three when searching this restaurant online. Not impressed and won’t be going back.
I took my wife and daughter for Mother’s Day Brunch. The entire experience was excellent. We will be back! It was very busy due to the holiday and the staff handled it well. Very organized and the service was better than expected. Take mom here. She will love it!!
Food took awhile to come out, as I suspect they were preparing for their Mother’s Day brunch. They messed up my husband’s egg order but did correct it.
Poor service. Not the same Chalkboard we had come to know.

The chef attending the Main Selection(s) line was wonderful. He shared exactly how each selection was prepared, and since I have food allergies was able to tell me if anything was present that would give me problems. Upstairs with a four-year old grandson was the perfect place for our family.
Food was poor for the cost. Ham tasted fishy and was nearly liquid - it had no consistency.
Excellent Easter brunch buffet - good variety. The mimosas, mac n cheese with crab meat, prime rib, vegetable medley and the carrot cake were all group favorites.
Waiter was great, had a cool voice, and understood the menu well. He made great recommendations, and the food drinks, and atmosphere were excellent. We were the only people in the room, it was a lovely date.
Coming into town and staying in the hotel we looked forward to the experience....I was most disappointed.......the on line seasonal menu offered mushroom wellington.As a plant based option,looked forward.Lets just say the 6 ravioli entree substitute was swimming in a broth with cubed vegetables and there wasn't enough filling to even determine the ingredients.Looked like a soup.......Was not charged for the dish.....best part of our Tulsa stay was Juniper for lunch and the $130 bottle of Hall cabernet we had chosen for "our Chalkboard " experience.....
We came to the Chalkboard to enjoy a superb dinner on our 40th anniversary. This is probably our 25th visit over the past 10 years. This is our favorite spot to celebrate special occasions. We expected certain standards in our dinning experience and we were not disappointed. In speaking with our knowledgable waiter he informed us that you will be changing the menu selections in the near future. Please don't drop your excellent beef wellington, ouitside of the Summitt Club I don't know of another local restaurant that does this right like you do.
