My husband and I loved the Cellar Door. The Adult Fries were amazing and very filling. The Crab cakes were tender and really flavorful. Mo was our server and is the best! We have stopped in a few times for a drink after dinner but are so glad we decided to eat there this time!

Went here last night for Valentine’s Day. My fiancée always would rant and rave about how good the food was here so I thought this would be a great place for our night out.
We were seated in a tiny corner at the smallest table possible. The place settings barely fit on the table. There was also only one menu on the table. No special menu, no drink menu.
We sat there for 10-15 minutes before our waitress even greeted us. She asked us what we wanted to drink, obviously we couldn’t answer because we didn’t have a drink menu. She did not apologize and said she would be right back with one. It took her 10 more minutes just to come back with the drink menu and specials menu.
We ordered drinks. I ordered a bourbon mixed drink and my fiancée ordered a drink from the special menu. We also order a meat and cheese board.
Another 15 minutes passed by and we finally got our drinks. They were made terribly. The bartender clearly over poured and the drinks just tasted like straight alcohol with ice. We are at 45 minutes since we sat down and we had only received drinks. I would have been okay with it taking so long to get out appetizer if they actually had to cook it, but it was a meat and cheese board.
We waited about 5 more minutes and I had enough, we us to flag down our waitress and I wanted the check. She asked if we wanted to wait so she could go to the kitchen to see if it was ready. We were trying to be understanding because it was busy, so we accepted.
10 more minutes passed by and she came out with the meat and cheese board. I was furious at this point and as soon as she sat it down asked for the check immediately. It took 10 more minutes for her to bring us our check. I didn’t expect to get a discount but I would have liked to have someone come over and say sorry. The waitress didn’t even apologize about the experience.
We were there for over a hour, I’ll never go back to this place again. 70 minutes for two drinks and a meat and cheese board that required no cooking

My husband went for Valentine’s Day and ended up walking out.
We were seated promptly in a corner so snug that two different tables had to move so we could get in.
We were given one menu, no drink or special menus, and then when we asked to see those he pointed to the food at the table next to us. We still asked to see the actual menu.
I ordered a mixed drink from the regular menu and we ordered an appetizer. About 15 mins later my drink arrives at it is literally about 3oz of drink and the rest ice. Two normal sips and it was gone.
45 mins later we flag our waiter down (first time we’d seen him) to ask if we can order our food. He took our order. But not without us having to change things bc they were sold out. About five minutes after he walked away my husband flagged him back down and said if he wanted to bring our appetizer first we’d really appreciate it. The waiter proceeded to say that the kitchen hadn’t even started on them yet.
We decided to just pay for our drink and leave.
I understand that they were over booked and under staffed, but that is poor management. You know it’s Valentine’s Day, which is a big going out to eat night, so you need to plan accordingly. Over order product, have extra kitchen help, and extra waiters too. Be over prepared so the night runs smoothly.
I have been to The Cellar Door before and had amazing food and service, so that was why I wanted to take my husband there for his first time. I hate that this was his first experience bc it will make it nearly impossible for him to want to come back again.
I would also like to point out that there were a couple of tables near the bar that were being extremely loud and crude. Which fine, I’ve been that table before that’s not my issue. My issue is that we witnessed one of the waiters catering solely to them. Bringing drink after drink. Despite them being seated after us they were bringing food after food tray to the table. The waiter would sit with them for 10 mins at a time.

Wife and I went on a double date for valentine's day with friends, none of us had ever visited. We were nervous about lack of guests when we first arrived at 6:15, but the entire restaurant was packed by the time we left. Service was lacking and kitchen was out of pork. However, the food was available was absolutely phenomenal!! We got 7 different dishes to share between the two couples (I was hungry), and we all loved every single item. Atmosphere was great and was a great use of the building space. We will all be going back!

There was a private party that was in the closed off room which had a dj that was ok except they kept opening the doors. There was another party at a table in the main room which was extremely loud and wanted to keep playing their own music which was very loud. Our server did her best to have them turn it down, but management never made an effort to have them stop. We have been to the Cellar Door on many occasions and this was by far the most disappointing.

So sorry to write bad stuff, but we were very disappointed. We brought a friend visiting from a large city that couldn't believe HTS would have a Tapas restaurant as we had advised. Well, I don't know why or what, but ALL the tapas have been removed from the menu! Sure, there were some "small plates" items, but no tapas. Plenty of TACOS though; but don't think HTS needs another Mexican restaurant. I can't even recommend this place anymore. What the heck happened?

We had the best time! Wine recommendations were outstanding. The dishes were very good in taste and presentation too. The service also made us very happy. We are new clients now

Terrible, overpriced food. A $20 cheese and meat board served with processed cheese and tasteless rubbery “prosciutto”. The piece thing served on the board were the Ritz crackers. The “tart” was no pastry as it would have been better listed as a flatbread. Overpriced glass of wine and “craft” beer. Look elsewhere if you want a good meal in downtown Huntington.

Service is truly wanting. It was busy for the time of day, but you need to have a commitment to the tables that you're covering--even if you're not normally waiting tables. We were definitely an afterthought.

This was my second visit to The Cellar Door in a week. The first time was amazing. Food and service were top notch, however they were out of several desserts, which was sometimes happens at places so it wasn’t a big deal, and it was a crowded Saturday night. I wish I could say the same for my second visit. I went there with two of my friends. It was a Thursday night and we were the only patrons in the place. The service was extremely slow and it took a very long time to get our food and refills. The food was subpar and wasn’t nearly as flavorful as the first time around. One friend’s food was cold and it was supposed to be a warm dish. They were out of several items we asked for and when it can time for dessert... AGAIN, they were out of the very same desserts I wanted to order the first time I was there. No other patrons came in the entire time we were there so there was no excuse for being out of items, and no excuse for the slow service. This was a very disappointing experience.

We went for Valentine’s Day. We sat for about 10 minutes before anyone even came over, so that was a little disappointing. The cocktails were good. The tapas were great. We loved the comfy chairs. We’ll give it another try on a night that’s not so busy.

The atmosphere is amazing. Every time I go I feel like I have stepped into a scene from Alice in Wonder Land. She colorful, artistic upholstered chairs are totally awesome. The cheese plate is a perfect start. The eclectic small servings menu is perfect for my palate and my waistline. The Bourbon and wine selection are great. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!
