   Second meal at the Cavendish Arms. Our meal was excellent again. We both had the Steak & Ale pie for our main. It was absolutely delicious. Best I've ever eaten in a restaurant. The service was very friendly & efficient. Highly recommend.

   Quiet Thursday lunchtime, but staff were attentive , friendly and professional. Food was fabulous, good portion , all freshly made and delicious.

   Evening meal was good, but breakfast poor (a single course (no cereal, jam etc.), small, slow and I had to chase to get a pot of tea that I'd asked for).

   We visited the Cavendish Arms for Sunday lunch and were absolutely blown away. The roast was hands down one of the best we’ve had, generous portions, perfectly cooked meat, crisp roasties, rich gravy, and all the trimmings done just right. You could tell it was made with care, and every bite was spot on. If you’re anywhere near Cartmel, do yourself a favour and book in. We’ll definitely be back.

   We both had Sunday roast. Lovely meal. Good portion size, not too big. All Lovely. Excellent, efficient & friendly service.

   Booked for a quiet relaxed meal with my husband to celebrate his up coming birthday. Was greeted with a warm smile for all the staff and taken to our table promptly. The deco was simply but elegant, complementing the age of the building and lots of room between table so not on top of each other. As for the food beautiful cooked affair well presented and a good selection to choose from. Will defo go back with family next time as its great for all types of gatherings.

   The food was very tasty and the pastry on the steak pie was delicious . The chips were nicely presented and not overwhelming in number.
