The Cavalier is an all-day London-inspired brasserie, located adjacent to Hotel Zetta.
This is the third property for restaurateurs Anna Weinberg, James Nicholas and Executive Chef Jennifer Puccio - the same team behind Marlowe and Park Tavern. Award winning San Francisco designer, Ken Fulk, revamped the interior with deep leather banquettes, polished brass, zinc and white marble, lending a posh and sultry feel.

Great food and service. For some reason the music in the bar was incrediblely loud at 8:30 in the evening though. People would have to shout to have conversations and it was not crowded enough to warrant a late night packed bar/loud music atmosphere.

When the bartender forgot to make our drinks and we had already finished our appetizers our server was mortified. They not only gave us free drinks, they bought dessert for us! Our server was amazing. Loved it.

We choose the Cavalier as British based venue to celebrate a good friend's birthday occasion. The food was excellent and the wine selection kept us all very happy! Highly recommended!

Food was mediocre, why were such crappy fish and chips almost $25?? I would probably just stick to this place for happy hour or cocktails. Carlos our server was great.

As a sister to Marlowe, this falls short. The service is amateur. I asked the waiter for the recipe for my cocktail and he got out the menu to show me the ingredients. That kind of cluelessness when you're spending over $250 for 3 people is not excusable.

Food is very good. But when you're distracted by your waiter's shortcomings, it ruins the meal.

Beautiful bar area with dramatic lighting. We will definitely return. Everyday between 2:30-5:30 they have a great bar menu, which includes $30 for a dozen oysters and a bottle of rose! Service was excellent and not very crowded at 5pm on Saturday when we came in. Made for an excellent pre-dinner drinks/appetizer stop on my friend’s birthday.

Neat spot. Imaginative menu. Food well prepared. Service was great. Lots of energy. The only negative is that the restaurant is so noisy you have to shout across the table to be heard. My ears were ringing when I left. But then I am 79.

We came to celebrate Burns night. Had a very nice, tasty meal. Extra stars given for the service. The waiter had already comp'ed me a whisky, since it took a relatively long time for them to find the bottle I had ordered (and they automatically offered this without me complaining!). Then, when the bill arrived, they had accidentally double charged us for our other drinks. Since the total "overcharge" matched the cost of my "free" whisky, I just let it go without mention. However, before running my card, they noticed their mistake on their own, and came back with the proper amount (and, still, no charge for the whisky!). Truly refreshing to see this honesty in this day and age!

Super loud restaurant. We joked with the waitress about the noise and we were told they were a “rowdy” restaurant. Not what we thought we were getting for fine dining for a business meal. Food was good but out of control screaming and yelling. No joke.

We enjoyed a great brunch. Went in on a whim and had a great experience. The pancakes were amazing. The hamburger was delicious. And the breakfast potatoes were done if the best we have ever had. The brewed coffee was avarage. Like it was on the burner too long. But overall it was a great place and we will be back.
