The Cask Taphouse and Grill
The Cask presents a menu of unique American fare utilizing local seasonal products.
I've been to The Cask 3 times now, and I have not been disappointed yet. The wait staff were very attentive, and the food and drinks were on point for the dollar value. Great portions sizes for your dollar and great quality.
We were kind of disappointed by the food this visit. The steak was very fibrous, gristle and hard to cut. Was not enjoyable. Apps were good. My husbands dip sandwich was hard to bite into the meat was so tough. Coffee was lukewarm at best. Dessert was good. We love the atmosphere and the staff are alway great but the food this visit was not as we remember. Maybe a different cook in that night ?
Food took an hour and it was empty inside? The waiter forgot about my boyfriend 's drink, it sat on the bar for 15mins before he brought it over
We had a wonderful night out. The service was timely. Our server was great, polite and making sure we were taken care of. He got us everything we asked for and nothing took long at all. We had the pretzels and steak egg rolls for appetizers. Delish. There was a vast list of beers to chose from. For dinner we had beef sliders, street tacos, and scallops, with sides of sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese. Everything was delish. We enjoy this restaurant!
Nice place, good food, outdoor patio. Highly recommend
Beer selection is great; food prices are a bit steep but the food was very good. The crab dip was great!
Staff is grease!! Food is great! Love the beer selection! Always look forward to coming here! Great job on the patio!
What a great experience dining at CASK! Love this place including all of the STAFF!!
My wife and I love coming dining at Cask. They offer a nice variety of craft beers. I typically go for IPA’s. I had the salmon sandwich which was excellent.
Cask did not have my reservation. When I shared my confirmation they almost seemed annoyed. They had very few customers, with no one dining inside when we arrived. We were seated in a back corner, with an “employees only” door directly behind our table, which was used 3-4 times, and associates sliding behind us to gain access; many tables were open but we were seated by this door. We inquired about specials, and were told the Happy Hour specials were only for guests on the patio and in the bar. A glass of Sauvignon Blanc was ordered and the waiter returned stating they were out. A White Claw-Grapefruit was ordered, with the waiter returning, stating that they were out if this as well. A friend ordered a burger medium-rare, which was very dry, well done. Heard many great things about this place, but will not be returning- Really disappointed with our experience-
On first impression driving up to the place from the street it looked abandoned! There were weeds growing through the blacktop in the parking lot and overgrown weeds and plants everywhere else outside. Not a good way to make a first impression.
However, the service was good, the food was good, and the inside was neat. I was a little disappointed with the beer selection, but I did find a couple good ones.
I live in Trexlertown area and I won’t make a special drive for this place, however, next time I’m in Easton, I will consider it.
The food was good and our waiter was great. But the music was way too loud and it took forever to get our food even though the place was fairly empty. The outside is really cute. But they need to hire more cooks and not have the music so loud.
Great food and service, kids menu as well. Highly recommended
We went here for Father’s Day. It did not start off very well. I had ordered the Strawberry Basil Lemonade to start. What was brought out was pretty much bourbon and club soda. No strawberry, no lemonade, no basil. Highly questionable. Our server, bless his heart, was in agreement that it didn’t seem right and took it back. However he came back with it saying the bartender said it was correct. I took a few more sips and sent it back because it was garbage. Our server still super sweet asked if I would like anything else. I ordered a peach mojito that was on the menu. When that was brought out it tasted like tequila. My dad tried it and confirmed it was tequila. If you don’t know, mojitos are made with rum. Our server apologized over and over and do say that the person behind bar doesn’t usually work there. I’m sorry but if you have something on the menu, your bartenders should know how to make it or they shouldn’t be there. So you could see I was skeptical moving forward. The drinks were taken off the bill so that was good.
The saving grace was the food. The Bison meatballs were super delicious and not dry. My dad had the prime rib and reports that it was one the better prime ribs he’s had in awhile. I had the drunken pork loin and it was cooked just right.
Lesson learned. Don’t order mixed drinks. Stick to beer and wine. Food was good!
Our server Desiree was awesome! Friendly, attentive and efficient.
My daughter ordered the flatbread with Gorgonzola and realized she didn’t like it. Desiree took it off the bill even though we said it was our fault. That’s wonderful customer service.
My Bison burger was superb as were my wife’s scallops and the Brussel sprouts!
Father’s Day Food was great. Good place for family time.
Seated promptly. Greeted promptly by the waiter also. We had out of town guests we were dining with and ordered drinks which came and we asked for time before putting in our food order. It was a very long time before our waiter returned and a way too long time for our food to be served. I ordered bourbon beef tips which were delicious but served cold. I didn’t ask for them to be reheated since the wait time but was never asked how everything was. It was a busy Friday night. One of my guests had crab cakes and had GI symptoms a few hours later. Our water was gracious however. Not the best experience for out of town guests but convenient when staying at the holiday inn express. It was my birthday. Also several beers on the menu were no longer available.
Great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere!
Fun beer hall with really good food and a great atmosphere
The atmosphere can be very loud at times when the place is filled with people on a busy night.
The hostess was very rude and they were not very accommodating to guests. I decided to try the Blueberry Lemonade Margarita and it was very disappointing. However, the food was delicious!!
Absolute worst place ever. The food is all commercial grade like you’d get at a buffet. Actually - worse than that. The menu is hyped up like the food has been well designed and well crafted. No. Not even a little. The service was terrible too. The whole place was empty and they seated us at a table all the way in the back. I had to call the waiter once and get up to find him to order another time. When the dessert came - gross. The brownie was horrendous - dry like a brick and thin like about an 1/8” thick; had to drench it in the chocolate and caramel and ice cream just to take a few bites. The cheesecake was dry and almost like it was going bad. The fruit topping was disgusting.
Overall, I predict they won’t be open this time next year. I honestly hope someone buys the restaurant and opens something else in there because the building was great and the patio had tons of potential. I will definitely never go back as long as it’s Cask and will definitely tell everyone I know to stay away!
It was great, loved everything about that place
Food was just so so and came out randomly. The prime rib was tough and the pretzel appetizer was dry. Basically just a loaf of bread shaped like a pretzel.
Really enjoyed the food and service! Will certainly visit again!!
Food was great. We had to wait 10 minutes to be waited on because the hostess didn’t put us down at a table, but once our waitress came she was great.
Service was great. Food could have been hotter.we share 2 appetizers and that was plenty. Beef tips delicious even though only like warm.
The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was really nice. I enjoyed the live music.
Excellent food with good prices. The beer selection is better than any in the area. Will most certainly be back.
It is very noisy when there are a lot of people. The food was excellent
This place is awesome! The food is fantastic and fresh. They have a wide beer selection and local wines. My prime rib was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back!
Service, atomosphere, and food were all great def recommend to anyone
Very good service, good food, ample parking, comfortable environment and reasonably good value. Alcoholic beverages slightly higher than average for the area.
The called early afternoon to confirm reservations and then ask if a high top table would be okay if that would be the only thing available. After saying no due to having an older couple in our party they said they would make note of this. When arriving this is what they had reserved for us. Staff seemed very rude to accommodate to make the change and were watching for us to leave the rest of the night . Tables were being moved around us all through our dinner and it was a very uncomfortable experience. The only positive thing was we had a wonderful waiter who made sure my parents had a great dinner.
Went on a Friday night. Place was basically empty. Had live music which was horrible and loud. Waited way too long for food to be prepared given the number of customers Food was not very good, and it was over $100 for four people (1 beer, 3 sodas) for horrible bar food. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
Cask is a very noisy restaurant. It was very crowded. There were many families which was a good thing. Our server was lovely and very accommodating. The food was good. However, the ambiance and the type of seating accommodations are not condusive to people who are not comfortable sitting at high back tables. When we were shown to a high back table we told the hostess we could not sit on those high chairs. We said we would leave if they couldn’t accommodate us at a regular table. She did find a table for us, but it was near the entrance and every time the door opened which was often it made it very cold. This was our first time at Cask and it will definitely be our last.
Cask is very loud inside. The industrial vibe lends nothing to sound absorption. The service was good even though the place was very busy. Our food arrived hot and was accurate. Our server was very friendly. Overall a very nice place
We had reservations for 6:00 which was a good time because it wasn’t very busy. We had Anthony as our server. He had only started a week ago. (We asked). He was an excellent server and very attentive and came around often to see how we were doing. I think having Anthony as our server made it even more wonderful. We will be back and hopefully get him again.
First time here. Spaced comfortably were standard/hightop tables.
Nice variety on menu. Husband enjoyed French onion soup made with locally brewed ale. Cream of asparagus was a little thin but extremely tasty. Steak entree bit undercooked but delish with garlic mashed. Out of daily veg. so chose coleslaw as sub. Husband & I loved the thick sliced coleslaw-creamy!! Crabcakes were OK but should be better ratio of meat to filler. Plan to return to take advantage of daily specials.
