   Attractive decor in the restaurant and bar areas. Pub was warm and comfortable, not too many tables, so it felt quite cosy. Efficient and friendly service. Very tasty food with a good choice of meals. Reasonably priced menu. Nice relaxed ambience.

   The food and service were both good as always. The level of noise is slightly higher than I would prefer but I don't think that can be changed with the stone floors as they are. Overall a good experience and we will certainly be back.

   Great pub with great food! Service was good although it did take a while for the person serving us to ‘warm up’. Food was brilliant and at reasonable prices that you’d expect from a pub menu. They weren’t able to replace chips with some veg without charging extra which was a shame, but otherwise a very good meal.

   The food was great, the staff were polite and knowledgeable about the menu and available drinks. Went for dinner with friends and our children, all had a great time. Nice to see you are dog friendly as well

   Although the food was nice , our waitress seemed like she didn’t really want to be there or to serve us and this really spoilt our experience

   Food we ordered was nice, just very small choice and then curry’s were all off making options very small.

   The vegetarian selection is not good at all and those items on the menu were seriously over priced. I had the cauliflower and broccoli gratin which essentially was cauliflower cheese with broccoli, and came with 3 roast potatoes and 4 very very small carrots and cost £12.95, really wasn't worth the money. Our server didn't smile once in all the time we were there and trying to get their attention to order drinks was tiring to be honest. We went at 17:00 on a Sunday and although it was fairly busy when we arrived it wasn't so busy an hour later but the service did not improve. Its a real shame as we've been before and I really enjoyed it but I won't be going back any time soon.

   The Carpenters Arms is a great place to catch up with family and friends. Lovely location, plenty of parking, delicious food and great service. Most recently met a friend for breakfast which was perfect

    Cracking little gastro in a great location outside of town. Friendly staff, great food and drink and a nice atmosphere. What more could you want?
