Food was great. The waitress had to be nee. Had to repeat same request multiple times.
I’ll wait 2 years before returning 😊
It was our anniversary and they sprinkled the table with heart shaped confetti and left a handwritten note- such special touches that made us feel so cared for!
Fantastic food. A step up from Wildfire, a good contender to Morton’s when you want something different. Great drinks, food was incredible. Service was impeccable. Not one complaint. Wife and I celebrated our anniversary tonight and it was perfect. I had oysters, the best lobster bisque ever, and a 10oz filet Oscar. Wife had a pear and Gorgonzola salad and the scallops. We both left full and not too tipsy. Oh yeah, they gave us a nice dessert for celebrating with them and gave the wife a rose. Very nice.
We had a wonderful meal and would not hesitate to return. The Brussels sprouts were to die for.
Our service was awful. My husband ordered a drink off their special drink menu and was given the wrong thing. He ordered a second drink and was again given the wrong drink! The service was extremely slow. The waitress charged my card for the wrong check so we had to wait for that to be fixed also. The food was ok but I would say not worth what we paid for. My iced tea was empty most of the night because of the slow service. I’d say we won’t be back.
I am a big fan of capital grille and frequent the tampa bay restuarant. My friends and i went here to celebrate our dear friend retirement . our server was awesome and the food just as delicious. I will definitely be back again to this location which is very modern and updated
We are so delighted that the Capital Grille has expanded to Schaumburg, IL since we have happily dined at their other locations. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there and our dining experience could not have been better. A terrific place with great food and wonderful service.
It’s a new restaurant in the area and are still getting the kinks of running a smooth operation. For example- the French onion soup was warm, not hot. Felt it was not fully cooked. The tuna dish I ordered did not taste Fresh.
Nice touches with sprinkles and a card for the birthday guest. Disappointed in the menu selections. All the steaks were “bone in” which allows them to sell less meat for the same size. The sea bass was lifeless. The crab/lobster cakes were good, as was the lobster Mac. For the price, Ruth’s Chris is a better meal.
Very disappointed. We were a table of 4. Two of us had OK meals , two did not. Very overpriced for quality and portion size. One of our $65.00 filets was actually delivered to our table cool to the touch. Our $53.00 bone in ribeye really lacked flavor. How is that even possible? Cocktails were tasty but also overpriced. The manager comped us dessert for our trouble. We have no issue for paying good money for good food. We will not recommend or ever go back.
Beautiful restaurant, enjoyed the art work. Overall noise level HIGH, very diffucult to have a conversation at a table for four. The kitchen noise was very loud. It would be nice if they had a barrier wall between dining room and kitchen like Coopers Hawk, St Charles. Food was good, not excellent. Augrautan potato's were cold and serving dish so hot it should be served with a hot mitt. Our waiter was great. Left exhausted, the wait staff literally scurried through the the restaurant the entire evening. This was very annoying as several hit my chair on the way through. In my opinion, a nice end white tablecloth restaurant should be elegant and calm not like crazy like a lower end Red Robin or Chilli's. Slow it down. Only open for four weeks, some adjustments needed. To my knowledge the manager never stopped by our table to see how things were. I would think feedback would be good to hear at this stage. Managers at Bone Fish, Seasons 52, Gibson's normally make the rounds.
Place is very stuffy.. not enough parking. Very loud.
Had a great dining experience. Came straight from the mall and wasn’t dressed as well as I should’ve been but was treated well. Will see me there again.
We sat in the front room next to the bar. We loved our appetizers they came out fast. Our meals were served in a particular order and everything was wonderful from start to finish! The only downfall was the lack of beer my husband loves a good IPA and there was nothing but normal can beer! Obviously they want people to order wi e or a cocktail- but some people love a good beer with their steak :-) can’t wait to return
We made best decision when we chose to celebrate our Anniversary at The Capital Grille. They made every part of the evening wonderful and even provided us with a framed Anniversary picture at the end of dinner! We will be back again soon!
We had an amazing dinner for 10 in one of the private rooms. Service was perfect with attention to detail not seen in any other restaurant at that level. Shawn Harris was our server and he was one of the best waiters we’ve ever experienced. Brought a coloring book for my 7 year old daughter during dinner. Food was perfect. We had friends from Belgium visiting us and they all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you for the wonderful evening, The Capital Grille!!
Just delightful! We are long time Capital Grille fans and always appreciate the hospitality and attention to detail. Food is incredibly delicious and drinks hit the spot. Can’t wait to go back!!!
service excellent. food very good. really pricey for what you get though.
Mary was an excellent. Nice evening.
Service was outstanding, even received a complementary gift once they found out we were celebrating a special occasion.
It was excellent !
Great food and level of service. Great ambiance. There is valet service or you can park your own vehicle. Nice place for a group, and is nice for date night as well.
My wife and I really enjoyed the evening
Our sever was very knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about what she does. She is excited to be working at capital grill
Best food and service! The waiter even ushered my elderly friend to the ladies room!
It was our anniversary. The staff couldn’t have been more pleasant. There was a rose and a card on our table upon being seated. Our waiter, who was very friendly and informative, brought complimentary glasses of sparkling wine for a toast. The food was fabulous and cooked to perfection. We even made room for an elegant and delicious dessert. What a lovely way to celebrate a special day.
We identified that it was our anniversary. We have typically celebrated our anniversary in Rosemont and were excited when the Schaumburg location opened. Other tables had their anniversaries celebrated with confetti and dessert and we did not. We have been to the Schaumburg restaurant twice since it opened and my medium rare steak has been over cooked both times. We were very excited when it was announced that you were opening a restaurant nearby and hope that things improve.
We attended this newly opened restaurant with high hopes but the food was a miss. The food arrived tepid and the steak was not cooked to the proper temperature based on our request. The steak and sides were also not seasoned at all. The value for money was disappointing and this restaurant will have to pick up the pace substantially to survive. On the upside the decor and service was very good although our waitress did not know details about the menu and specials she presented. Parking was sparse in the lot forcing guests to use valet (no charge for the valet) which was positive.
excellent food and service--our server Dina was outstanding. We will be back in two weeks. We love the Capital Grill
I'd rather go to the one in Rosemont. The new Capital grille had a lot of small rooms and we were placed in one with only 6 tables. I felt closed in. The bar service was really slow and after getting my drink wrong my husband was on # 2 drink . the food was delicious, esp. the ny strip my husband had but the mushrooms lacked flavor. The lobster bisque came room temp. but i wasn't going to say anything but the waitress asked so I told her and she insisted i get another bowl which a manager brought saying it was so hot be careful. I took a spoonful and it was warm. My husband's bowl of corn chowder was much hotter. Maybe skip the big bowls with so much surface area and that would keep the soup warmer.
Great food. Quiet, classy atmosphere and super service!
One of our dining preferences was not to sit near a server station and the first table they showed us was right next to a server station. I mentioned our preference on the Open Table app and we ended up sitting at a table a little further away from the server station. We also noted on the Open Table app that it was our anniversary, but it was never recognized all evening. It appears no one at Capital Grille bothered to read our preferences. The drinks were very good. We shared a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer that tasted very fishy without an extreme amount of lemon. The bread basket had a nice variety and was tasty. We shared a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and smoked bacon cubes that was very good especially the smoked bacon. It was also the perfect size for two to share. For entrees my wife had the tenderloin (medium) with lobster; the steak was prepared correctly, but it did not have good flavor. Some parts of the lobster were a little tough. I had the 10oz filet (medium) and the South African lobster tail that was a perfect size at about 5oz. My steak came rare so I had to send it back. I think it is fair to expect a $46 steak to be prepared correctly the first time, but it wasn't. The lobster tail was excellent and I started eating it while waiting for my steak to return. We also shared a side of asparagus that was very good. For desert we had Apple Strudel Crostata with vanilla ice cream. The edges of the strudel were nice and crispy, but the rest of it was soft and didn't seem totally baked. The Vanilla ice cream was very good. Our server Francisco was one of the positives during this experience. He was very attentive, friendly and professional. The restaurant is decorated nicely and there were enough servers and other workers throughout. So much so that it was a little distracting as a server or bus boy walked past our table every minute. Overall considering our dinner was $265.00 (without tip) we do not think it was a good value.
Outstanding service and food selection! From the moment you arrive and warmly greeted, you are treated like family. The waitstaff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Our server, Chuck, offered excellent recommendations and made sure we were taken care of without being intrusive. We also partook in the generous pour event, which was outstanding! The wine selections were impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed the backstory of each one. Highly recommend a visit, especially during the limited time generous pour event!
The service was ok. She kept bothering us. Just wanted to take our time but she kept approaching our table. The drinks were not right, steak undercooked and dessert was cold. If your going to spend this kind of money it should be perfect.
Beautiful restaurant and great ambience. Our server was very attentive. I plan to return with friends!
Newly opened. Great cocktails and attentive service. Compares to any other CG location, consistently good food.
Only open 2 weeks, still working out some kinks, but food was delicious and service was great.
Absolutely loved it! Our entire experience was excellent. Food was outstanding, Laura in the bar and our server Michael added to the fantastic experience. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back soon!
Birthday dinner. A bit pricy but def worth it!! Everything was outstanding. Will be going back for the next occasion.
Top notch service
So glad they have a branch in Schaumburg
