My wife’s birthday it was good
Awesome as always!!
Great food. Awesome seafood tower. Amazing steak.
Food was excellent!
Dinner was amazing but what really made the night was the service. We were fortunate to be seated with John as our server & his brother Cameron assisting. They were excellent & assured we had a special evening.
We celebrated a special day with a great lunch. The staff was attentive the food was delightful.
Have heard about this place for years. Went with three other ladies for a birthday night, which we told them ahead of time and once we arrived. They never brought out our oysters and the wedge salad had no bacon. They never acknowledged the birthday. Waters weren’t refilled. Pretty horrible service and food was mediocre. When we let them know about the oversights, we did get a ramekin of bacon brought out. No apologies were made. There are literally dozens of high end restaurants in the area. Choose a different one. For steaks: try Sullivan’s or the Peddler. For drinks and delightful apps: Stir is next door.
Food delicious. Great service!! Friendly
Tonight was amazing
Great service and food as always!
Dakota was a great server. Chef Matt was fantastic as always and so was the pastry chef Alana who made the best dessert I ever had. Thank you
We were celebrating a birthday. Everything was wonderful!
Always a great dining option. Food and service always top notch. Friendly, efficient and currently very safe (distancing).
Food and service were outstanding, as was the music and ambiance.
The experience was wonderful all around including the food, service and location.
Quality and service at this restaurant has steadily gone downhill over the past two years. Sitting outside was nothing special. We had to ask twice for utensils. Soup was served without a spoon. Waitress we had was inattentive. We were celebrating a birthday and she asked if we wanted a dessert. We ordered cheesecake and then she also brought out a complimentary one which was appreciated but she could have brought that in lieu of what was ordered!
Our anniversary dinner was absolutely amazing! Thank you to our server Trazjae for an exceptional dining experience. Also a special thanks to Chef Matt and his team for great meals and manager Chris Lynch for insuring that our evening was everything that we hoped for.
It was amazing food and great service !
The food was good its more on a salty side of it but overall the place was good and the waitress was very helpful.
Amazing food, great service, nice ambiance. Definitely recommend.
Amazing experience from top to bottom.
Cameron was wonderful and the meal was perfectly prepared. We look forward to returning!
HIGHLY recommend. This place is amazing every time we come!!!
After a brief wait we were seated in a socially distanced table. Our martinis were excellent. We split the crab cakes with lobster as an appetizer and can not say enough about how good this was. Corn relish and an excellent homemade tarter sauce added to our enjoyment. They have the best bread basket in Raleigh. We each had filets and the Split the mashed potatoes. Excellent. Dessert was a complimentary cheesecake and chocolate cake with berries for the birthday celebration. Great service by Trajaie. Easy parking in BOA parking deck. Wonderful evening. We felt welcome and safe.
Great experience server was super nice !
We were there to celebrate 3 of my buddies Bday and Trazjae was awesome as our server.....got some a great desert on the house. Overall, A+ and I’ll be back....well done!
My boyfriend and I visited this place after not having been out to eat at a sit down restaurant since early February to celebrate his new job. Russell (our server), the food, and the wine were all fantastic. Also, we felt very safe here as the hostesses were efficient in enforcing social distancing + mask policies. We will be back!
Was a fantastic restaurant. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a good quality fine dining experience.
Very nice restaurant with great food. Receptionist was quite rude, and kept 3-4 couples (us included) gathered in a small area just inside the door, and cordoned us off so that no one could approach their desk and/or spread out. Otherwise was very nice!
Delicious food and excellent service as usual!!!! Cannot wait to go back!!!
Took my brother for his first experience with Capital Grille, made him a believer...as usual, everything was perfect, from Appetizers to desert, my wife and I have been to the Capital Grille from Burlington, Massachusetts to Raliegh, North Carolina, must go to...
Always Great Food and Service.
Shrimp were large and on tough side.
Filet mignon was cooked to order, tender, and delicious.
Rib eye meat was below expectation, and not cooked as ordered.
Poor service - for few people in restaurant, waiter was not attentive. Long wait between appetizer and entree.
Paul was great
This is our second anniversary dinner that we’ve had at the Capitol Grille. The first was exceptional in every way so we had no issue booking the restaurant again.
The food was just as good as the first time. The service was of their normal excellent standard. However, we had the unlucky chance to be seated in the booth next to a couple who, based on the constant conversations with staff, had spent their entire quarantine at the restaurant. The booths have a very high back so maybe they thought we couldn’t hear the conversations they had? But we could and they were loud, annoying and distracting. I did not come out to share a quiet intimate meal with my partner to instead feel like I’d set down at a bar during happy hour.
To put the icing on the cake so to speak, we also got to hear about all the special items the chef was preparing for them. I know this happens. I don’t begrudge them that, because they obviously supported the restaurant during a difficult time. But when I have to hear loud and constant descriptions and exclamations while I am trying to enjoy my own dinner, it gets a little old.
We ordered the sea bass. The fish was not hot when it was served. It was very expensive.
The restaurant is well designed and attractive. Service was good.
A great place for special occasions! They add lovely extra touches. And the service is impeccable!
Some of the regular menu items were not on the menu any more. The prices seemed to have went up as well. I guess COVID.. I will not visit again anytime soon.
