I decided to take my wife here for our anniversary. The overall experience was outstanding. The waitresses was amazing and the food was too. The staff was aware that it was a special occasion and they went out of their way to make it a special night.

Normally they cook a steak to absolute perfection but today both my steak and the next table were rare and we both asked for medium. Even after getting it back the steak was medium rare at best. I wasn’t waiting any longer so I ate it and it was clearly a good cut that was tasty and juicy. I just would have preferred it a little more done. As usual the service was terrific. I chalked it up to an off day for the chef because I love going to this restaurant.

Wonderful! We’ve been to various Capital Grille locations and all are consistently excellent. Alexander and Steven were awesome and provided us with a really nice evening out. Drinks and food were all yummy. Look forward to coming back!

Great place for a business lunch, or lunch with friends--nice ambience and noise level is moderate, allowing conversations even when busy. Service and food were great. Complimentary valet parking (except for tip). Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

My wife and I selected Capital Grille over Sullivan’s Perry’s and Flemings for our Anniversary Dinner. We were celebrating 27 years! Well needless to say we will not be back! I specifically let them know in advance of our anniversary and seating in main dining room. We were placed in a side room next to a 12 person party who were very loud and rude the whole time. At one point could not eat or even hear myself talk. Zero ambiance! Management was not Hope only sorry. They could have initially placed us because of our special occasion set up in a more central and private booth but no! I spend as much money as any party there. Been many times. Never again. Not even offered a refund or reduction. Waitress was great but I think she felt bad about situation but couldn’t help. I will not be back and as a open table member for many years give them a no star rating. I will not be back. Michael Lee

I shouldn't write this because then the Cap Grill will be even more booked than it currently is, but this is still one of the top restaurants in Raleigh. Excellent service without being overweening. Marvelous cocktails, decent wine list, and not only are the steaks excellent (to be expected) but so is the fish. Try the Kona steak and the Tuna steak -- you won't be disappointed. Tuna tartare is also a first rate appetizer. Marvelous place for a celebration.

I expected more from the Capital Grille. It felt like we were packed in as sardines - way too many tables for the amount of space, felt very crowded. You can literally hear and participate in others' conversations. The food was good, not spectacular.

Truly, outstanding-we were seated immediately, and I had forgotten to mention it was our anniversary, and the hostess added hearts to the table, and we were surprised with a very pleasant complementary dessert. Our staff person, Nicole, helped by Michelle, truly exceeded our expectations. Our sea bass and sliced filet mignon was excellent Truly a good night at the Raleigh Capital Grille

My friend and I visited as a Self-care retreat. Indeed it was a wonderful treat we had in store. We attended the INTERTWINE Generous Pour Event. I had the Double Cut Lamb Rib Chops (4) with Mint Gremolata & she had the Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Shiitake Mushrooms, Asparagus and Miso Butter. We shared the Au Gratin Potatoes. The lamb chops were seasoned to perfection, however I was not a fan of the Augustine potatoes. On the other hand she loved the potatoes. Our hostess was phenomenal she was extremely patient as I snapped photos of all the wine we were welcomed to taste for the event. 10/10 great food, comforting background music, amazing flavorful wine.

Had not been here in a while, so took notice. Greeting was warm at the door, seated early for dinner. Young man asked about water (?, not served to all) and brought it promptly. The bread was fine, slightly warm. The butter pat dusted with fleur de sel was already on the table, should have been brought out with the bread. The calamari had spicy peppers comprising at least 50% of the dish, if you’re not a pepper fan, may be surprising. The onion soup was small but tasty. Wedge salad, too big a wedge, not enough condiments. My sliced tenderloin was great, ciprollini onions and wild mushrooms excellent and the dish was hot. A few quibbles, the second glass of wine came via small carafe left at the table. Proper service is to pour for the customer. Used dishes and cutlery were left on the table until after the main course served, and a steak knife had to be requested. At a table reset nearby, the bare table was left without cloth until we left —I know, the horror. The number of patrons in casual, casual wear (T shirts of a certain age) was surprising. Maybe I’m watching too much of The Bear, but if you’ve been around the block, or worked in a fine restaurant, and paying for ambience, these things are notable. Staff was very nice, just need a bit of training and supervision.

What an unbelievable experience we had last night. Since we were 8 of us, the gave us a private room. We were able to talk and laugh loudly and had a wonderful time. Service by Ty was immaculate, food fantastic!! Best food we’ve had in area
