   My husband and I are regular patrons at this Capital Grille location, driving from Buffalo Grove for the excellent service. We celebrate milestones like anniversaries and birthdays here and are usually very satisfied. However, this time was different. I made a reservation for a Tuesday afternoon lunch, noting it was our 10-year anniversary, expecting special treatment. Upon arrival, the table wasn't decorated as usual, and the valet, not the usual staff, seated us. We were confused when asked where we wanted to sit since they typically have everything ready. Despite specifying my table preference via OpenTable, we waited long for the waitress, and the bread basket arrived cold and late. The waitress seemed indifferent to our celebration. The food was as expected; we always order the salmon with mango avocado salad, and the soup was delicious. However, the waitress left the dessert menu without much interaction. We ordered dessert but had to take it home since they provided a complimentary dessert. We spent an hour and a half there due to service delays. The manager spoke to the table next to us but didn't check in with us. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we could have gone somewhere closer to home, like Fleming's.

   This is always a classy and well served night out. We think of it as the New York in Skokie. (It's better than the NYC location.) The service is great and the food wonderful 👍

   The dinner was fantastic. The service that Alex, our server provided was extraordinary. The cold seafood plate was a dish we will order again and celebrating our friend’s birthday was really special. We were all so glad to be there.

   Fantastic Easter lunch. Since it was Easter thought I would try the lamb chops. Our waiter highly recommended them and they were the best I ever had. He also recommended a nice red wine which matched perfectly. Very friendly waiter and staff. Capital Grille is a rare treat for us, can’t afford this often, but it was a great meal and dining experience.

   They messed up my order. They gave me a wrong order of my steak, they corrected tho but still. 🙄 The variety of bread as starter was so good and when the wait staff offered if we like more, we said yes, but he never came back to give us more bread. The most disappointing thing was, we went there to celebrate my birthday, and for the past 7 yrs or so now, it has been that way. Its a tradition to celebrate my bday at Capital Grill, i specifically noted that on my reservation here on open table but unfortunately this time, they forgot my special occasion. the host who seated us nor the waiter didnt even bother to ask if we were celebrating anything special. The downtown location is wayyyy more friendly that way. So my birthday dinner at Capital Grill in old orchard location was UNEVENTFUL to say the least. I went home really disappointed and we are not going back there anymore. Or to that location!

    We had a wonderful dinner with friends who love steak and oysters. The enjoyed the meal and the service was fantastic. Melody the new managing partner has brought a new vide to Skokie! The staff are warm and friendly. Melody also makes a point to stop and say Hi.
