We have been there before, but this time we had the same server, Michelle. She was excellent and remembered our group, our orders, likes and dislikes. This attention to detail on top of the excellent food made for a wonderful evening.

I had the salmon, table asparagus, and mashed potatoes with a cosmopolitan. Overall, the food was excellent, the service was good, and the ambiance was nice quiet it was a lovely view. I enjoy it and wouldn't mind going back on a date.

It was a great experience. The waiter was so attentive and the food was amazing. The manager was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the bartender Chase was so much fun. Great experience all around!

I recently got an email from Capital Grill telling me about their burger. I know this burger well. I love this burger. The email notice worked. When I arrived at my Capital Grill I was greeted by the wonderful staff. It was a wonderful lunch. I had the Calamari and their version of an Old Fashion. What a great starter. Then came the burger! WOW! I actually have dreams about this burger. I know it sounds strange or over the top, but honestly, when I order a burger medium rare, it usually comes medium or over done. This perfect is perfect! I highly recommend it.

Asparagus was burnt. Also the porcini rubbed ribeye was over buttered and overly fatty. Left severe indigestion - I usually never had indigestion and never use Tums. This was below par for a capital grille.

Everyone but my server (bartender) were friendly and great. I had to flag someone two times for the check. Then I had to walk up tothe front desk for them to pick up my card. No bread and butter, which i thought was odd. Food was pretty good and reasonably priced, albeit the portions were small.

From the perfect Dirty Martini, through my fresh and tasty Cesar salad , to the delicious medium/rare, cooked to perfection filet mignon, it was a perfect meal. Hunter is a great server, and the whole experience was fantastic. High quality food, served and cooked to perfection. Will return!!

Everything was good food was overall good and the calamari was the best. We had the filet mignon and the salmon. They changed the recipe on the salmon since the last time I had it and it wasn’t as good as before.

We came to celebrate our anniversary. We indicated it as such when we made the reservation on OpenTable. They really paid attention to that and made our celebration very special. There was a handwritten card and confetti on the table when we sat down. The service was top-notch, and the food was amazing. They even treated us to some dessert after our meal. It was such a good experience, and I can't thank them enough.

The Capital Grille is a great restaurant. I go to the one in Costa Mesa regularly. The downtown location was a little mixed. Food was great as expected. Waiter did a great job, however speed of service was not great. Place was not busy and it took forever to get drinks or food. Location did good trying to make up for it, we didn’t even mention the delay. Clearly it was bad enough for the staff to know. Over all it’s worth a try.

Another great experience. Consistently a great time...and that keeps us coming back. Great steaks and au gratin. Oysters and shrimp tasted fresh and tuna tartar was excellent. Delicious chocolate dessert to finish our wine, and the coconut pie was great. Cocktails excellent as well. A few metered parking spots in front and many public lots close by. Very nice service and warm greeting by manager who checked on us later as well. Splendid!

The food was absolutely amazing! The lobster mac and cheese is very good. Steaks were cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the service from our waiter Erik. He could have been more attentive and would have liked him to be a little more knowledgeable in the menu and wine selection. Overall, we had an amazing dinner for our 5 year anniversary, and they even made the table extra special for us, which was a nice touch.
