   Capital Grill NEVER disappoints, and tonight was no exception. We came to celebrate Mothers Day before going to the Fox Theatre. From the time we pulled up until we left we were very pleased with all aspects of the night. Valet was fast, efficient and courteous. Inside we were promptly greeted and seated. Our waiter was AMAZING and provided outstanding service. The food, WOW, Filey, "pepper" covered steak, Filet Oscar, all absolutely amazing. Lobster mac n cheese and mashed potatoes also sooooo good! Thank you Capital Grill, we will be back!

   From start to finish, an amazing experience and meal. Meat was perfectly cooked for all of us. We were celebrating a milestone and waiter went above and beyond to make us feel special and even surprised with desserts at the end and they might have been better than the beef! Thanks so much

    You pay for an elite steakhouse and get a subpar cut of meat that has zero seasoning on it. The service was amazing, Maybe the best I've ever experienced, so it's a shame the steaks were so bad.

    I made reservations for my boyfriends birthday. Waiter took our drink order, and then came back 15 minutes later to ask what we wanted to drink. Food was mediocre at best. I wanted a top notch meal for a special occasion - this disappointed in a big way.

    We have been to The Capital Grill several times, and overall, it hadn't disappointed, but last night it did for me. I want to first say that our waiter, Austin, was great. He is always very nice, and we always hope we are seated in his section. My husband ordered the wedge salad, the filet, the scalloped potatoes, and cream brulee. He loved every bite of his food. Me...not so much. I ordered the wedge salad and the grilled chicken with rissoto. My wedge salad could have been trimmed up to take out the giant white browning lettuce veins. My chicken and risotto was served in a giant bowl and flooded to the brim with appeared to be a brown gravy consomme. It looked like a soup. The chicken and rissoto had no taste because it was overpowered by this gravy. And I add that it was so salty. It was aweful. I ate one breast and some of the rissoto and brought the other breast home for my dog. My other disenchantment was with the fact that after our salads our dishes were not cleared from our table before a kitchen staff person was bringing our our meal. Our little table was so crowded. It seemed that the kitchen was simply pumping out food and kitchen staff was serving and not allowing the waiter to do his job...ie clear used dishes after each course and giving the customer time between courses. This is a nice restaurant, not a fast food joint. Kitchen staff should not be out of the kitchen serving. We felt very rushed. Unfortunately, we had not seen our waiter until it was time to ask if we wanted dessert. I could not even send my meal back and order something else. Plus, it was a special meal for my husband, and I did not want to ruin the moment and his meal by being fussy. Finally, my husband wanted to have a dessert. He ordered the creme brulee, knowing I would have a couple of bites. Sadly, no coffee or after meal drinks were offered. I felt like we were being rushed. It tasted very odd like the brulee "broke". It was gritty and had a sour taste.

    All 4 of us had steaks of various types, and all were outstanding! They had some nice Easter brunch options as well. Our service was impeccable and our reservation was honored immediately. This is a fabulous Capital Grille, I highly recommend it for a special occasion or business dinner - they do it right!
