As alway, service was impeccable. Mike, our server, was very knowledgeable and attentive. While the evening as a whole was quite enjoyable, there were a few glitches to note; 1. the oysters on the half shell were very small and the presentation was less than appetizing. 2. the mignonette for the oysters was a far cry from previous dinners at capital grill. it was bland more than not, save for the overabundance of coarse ground pepper, not at all what i would expect from capital grille. 3. the salads were frozen and had to be returned. we have dined at capital grille many times and this is the first experience that i could not give "excellent" to in all categories. our disappointment, however, will not dissuade us from our next visit to CG.

This was a very nice option for a not-at-home Thanksgiving Dinner. We had our choice of the traditional turkey + dressing + green beans, etc., but also of the many excellent items that are regularly on the menu. Two of us decided not to go traditional, and the third had special dietary needs that were best met ordering a la carte. Two of us had the lobster bisque, one of us had the oysters (our only nod to what the Pilgrims probably ate.) The wedge salad was a little light on dressing but the bacon nuggets were spectacular. One of us had the seared tuna, another had the tomahawk veal chop. Both were well prepared and well timed, and the service was outstanding -- attentive without being intrusive. The sides included hash browns that came up a bit short because there was no brown-ness or crispness to the preparation at all, but more of a crustless shredded potato gratin, but the creamed corn was great as was the lobster mac & cheese. Our server helped choose the wines both for the main course and for afterward. We took our desserts to go. The coconut cream pie was amazing, while the pumpkin cheesecake was more of a seasonal thing than something that we would choose any other time of the year. The ambiance in our smaller area was perfect. If we eat out on Thanksgiving, we would do this again.

Tables are packed in together. We were very close to our neighbors and had to scoot our chair in a few times to let people by. Food was very good. Two of the five steaks ordered were underdone. The porcini rubbed bone in ribeye had a very citrusy taste. Almost a bit too much. Service was good, a couple of people were kind of snotty. I find it hard to believe that expensive restaurants feel like they can’t be friendly.

It was my first time dining at a Capital Grille, but it definitely won’t be my last! The cocktails, food, and atmosphere were outstanding, but the real highlight was our server, Austin! He knew it was my first time there, and he made everything extra special for us. Already looking forward to going back, and of course, we will request Austin!

This used to be my favorite restaurant. The appetizers are great still. But our steaks were just ok and not worth the price they charged. In fact, one of them looked just burned on the outside but cooked to the right temperature inside. The service was really good. It's a very expensive place now, and I'm not sure that it's worth it anymore.

I arrived quite early for my singular reservation and they seated me right away anyway. Brandon was my server and he was fabulous. I couldn't have asked for better service, and the other people on the floor kept my water glass filled. The Lemon Drop Cocktail suggested by Brandon was surprisingly delicious, with lemon sugar on the outside of the glass. I had the filet mignon with mushrooms and onions. It was cooked perfectly medium-rare and was very tender with robust flavor. It was so huge that I couldn't eat it all. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake and the manager on duty who checked in with me said it would be the best I'd ever had, and she was right. Everything was perfect.
