The Cape Kitchen
Absolutely amazing! Our waiter was very helpful and the food was outstanding.
Fabulous food... enough variety for most tastes..
The staff are awesome, friendly engaging local young people
The view is amazing
WOW what a fantastic place to dine. The view was sensational as was the food, coffee and staff.
Can't wait to come back.
Great food. Good friendly service. Nice coffee. Great view
Overall, the food, wine and service was top class. A few more vegetarian options would help.
My partner and I loved the cape kitchen! It was a perfect was to spend our anniversary!
The views were stunning, the service was great and the food was even better! We cannot wait to come back!
Lovely place, fresh seasonal menu well prepared. Friendly service and best of all open on Mondays!!!
Great food, beautiful view. Would very happily go there again.
Spectacular location with an amazing view. Situated on top of a clif with uninterrupted view of Bass Straight
Food was excellent quality and tasty
The staff and service was also 5 star
Great place for lunch
The view was fabulous. The food was great and the family enjoyed themselves. Great way to spend the saturday afternoon.
Food was absolutely amazing and made my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend spectacular. The view is stunning. It is fairly expensive but what you pay for is what you get.
The Cape Kitchen was highly recommended by a friend, and definitely lived up to the hype. The view and fantastic food made for a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast.
Food was delicious, service excellent and friendly but there were a couple of parties there for lunch so it was very noisy.
Would happily go back - food was delicious!
A very good restaurant, with a bit of a let down in the fit out and acoustics. The food is very, very good. Great, fresh ingredients. Well presented too. Pace is relaxed (read:borderline slow) so don't be in a hurry. But that's not all bad, just understand that's how it is.
The view from the window tables is outstanding. So from that perspective the atmosphere is wonderful.
It's let's down in two areas. 1. It's noisy. Even with very few people there. Once you are there you can see why straight away - massive area, no soft furnishings to cushion sound - all hard floors, walls and ceilings. The sound bounces around pretty badly. 2. the finish is, frankly, not in keeping with the food, the service OR the view. It feels like they were going for beach house, but it actually ended up as cheap beach cafe fitout. The tables are an horrific cheap white laminate, so they should have used table cloths (or given the tables are ply wood, and unfinished plywood top layer would have look better). And the base of the tables don't help that look. The chairs look like an attempt at relaxed beach/driftwood. But they look poor. And the odd cream coloured walls, rather than a really pale grey or plain white looks slightly dirty and dated.
I still recommend the place. It's great. But the strange choice of fitout is REALLY odd and just not in keeping. Enough that we really noticed it. And the lack of sound control would be a serious issue at a busy time.
Still worth going, the service and food are wonderful. Just go there knowing these things.
We loved our breakfast at The Cape Kitchen, the staff offer excellent service and awesome food and being able to watch the crashing waves and sea views just topped off our experience. We will be back!
Stunning views with food to match. Would go back in a heart beat
I found the salads to be a little pricey and a little big but the meal on a whole was sensational. The flavors were to die for but they paled in comparison to the garnishing. I had the duck that could have been quite dull to look at but the garnishing with the bright orange leeves and the vivid purple flowers that also tasted great just stole the whole show.
It as a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting with spectacular service.
The views are incredible and the food is delicious and not over the top expensive. Highly recommended 👍
Loved everything about our experience at Cape Kitchen
Great food, great view. We loved it. We are sure to be back with friends soon
Lovely to have an excellent meal with a beautiful view. Staff were attentive, steaks and fish done to perfection. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. See you again soon.
A beautiful setting, lovely food and friendly staff. This place supports itself primarily through weddings but I enjoyed the glorious ocean front views, the pleasant walks around the grounds and the relaxed atmosphere for brunch. I’d definitely go again.
The Cape Kitchen is a must for us every time we visit the Island. The view is absolutely breathtaking, the service is warm and friendly and the food is delicious. Do Not Miss It!
Overall good meal , meal took a little longer than expected to arrive for a 2pm sitting
Window seat was great
A spectacular setting with amazing well presented and generous dishes.
The views, the aesthetic, the friendly light hearted staff, the food, it was exactly what me and my partner needed to relax and enjoy.
LOOOOVED IT and cannot wait to go back again. Food was outstanding and so was service and the location.
Fantastic as always.. friendly and accommodating staff, superb menu and a lovely relaxed, happy atmosphere.
Did I mention the view ! Wow
Beautiful food in a beautiful setting with a beautiful scenery and friendly staff!
Make sure to book before hand.
Outdoor seating is great but only on non-windy days -- otherwise indoor seating is much much better.
An absolutely beautiful location. I specifically noted I was on a date when I made my booking, so we were seated front and centre, looking out to the gorgeous ocean view.
The chai latte and almond-milk lattes we had were fantastic. We both had the beetroot & potato rosti's for breakfast and it was to die for. Fantastic, tasty food resulting in clean plates and happy bellies.
A perfect way to start a day on the Island.
Loved our Sunday brunch to finish off a wonderful week at Phillip Island. Quiet, unassuming but prompt service supported an excellent meal. I especially liked the mushrooms and the freshly squeezed orange juice. The final bill was consistent with what I’d expect to pay for a meal and service no better than this in Melbourne and I’m always happy to pay a fair price for quality.
The view is excellent and offers great potential if and when the owners explore the possibility of expanding the business.
The Cape Kitchen offers an outstanding location for special events, such as a private function and even a wedding.
Love the Cape Kitchen.
Thank you for a lovely afternoon to the team!
The service was polite, professional and unobtrusive, the food was fabulous and the stunning views over the ocean made it a very enjoyable experience.
I thought it was well priced given the overall quality and would have no hesitation recommending to anyone seeking an enjoyable day out.
Delicious modern meals. Great coffee. Lovely ocean views from all tables.
Amazing - views, service & food. Can’t wait to go back ✅
Great place for brunch or lunch with a fabulous outlook. Delicious interesting menu. So many yummy options it's hard to choose. The service is very attentive and friendly. It does cater for groups and has a wood floor so is a bit noisy. Other guests let their toddlers run around and push furniture around which was a bit annoying ( not Cape Kitchen's fault). It was a little draughty..something about the air con. All in all very good.
Good food, friendly staff, scenic view. Very recommended!
Electric car charging is a great idea. Staff were very personable and eager to please. Install a playground and it would be even better for kids!
Beautiful food. Simple, tasty but a bit special. Only issue was time to get meal. May have been a one off but would go back again. Competitive prices.
Great venue for beautiful food, wonderful service and spectacular scenery
As always when I have lunch at Cape Kitchen the food is beautiful... the service impeccable and the scenery just breathtaking.... Congratulations on a anazing experience will look forward to my next visit.
