The Cannery was created by third generation Kewaunee Dairy Farmers, The Pagels. The Cannery provides farm-fresh favorites, grown and harvested by Wisconsin farm families. The atmosphere fashioned with reclaimed lumber and steel from the Pagel's land. Enjoy a taste of the farm life!
It was very disappointing! The decor was amazing but the food and service were terrible. Starting with the service. We were barely checked in with. We saw our server angel leaning up against the registers most of the time. She would glance at us but never physically came over. I ordered a bottomless mimosas (keep in mind this is own first time ever coming here) and was never told I needed to go to the bar to get my drink. I sat there wondering when I would get my drink and was finally told by another server what I needed to do.
Now the food! It was awful. If you were going to make biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles for a dish, stick to the southern staple! I am from the south and I have lived in the north for many years. I have never in my entire life saw cheese curds placed on biscuits and gravy. The textures alone do not complement one another. The biscuits and gravy was absolutely disgusting. The sausage in the gravy should have a crisp to it. I could literally smashed with my fork like cat food! The chicken and waffles was also another story. The chicken was not seasoned. If you’re going to claim handmade chicken, it needs to be backed up with seasonings. The waffles were too sweet! Pumpkin waffles and an apple sauce syrup is way too much sweetness, especially if there’s not gonna be any salt available for the chicken.
The overall vibe of the place was relaxing. The Decour was very modern and very elegant. I do believe the amount you pay for the dishes and the service that you receive is extremely off the scale.

Very nice place, have been there previously but not for a year. Expected a wider variety in the menu; we were there for Sunday brunch. Would've liked steak sandwich to have some cheese. Same with open face egg sandwich--ut was dry but I had egg over hard so it needed something more. Service was great, very attentive even tho we were warned they were overbooked and it may be a little slow. We didnt have any issues. One slight issue , drinks were made with name brand liquor w/o asking our preference.
We had reservations for 4 @ 630, were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was so very nice, helpful and friendly. She got us drinks (twice) took our order, suggested appetizers, brought them out quickly then served our meal shortly after. We each ordered different sandwiches and sides and were very satisfied with the meal and had plenty to eat! Server gave us Wonderful service and spent time making us feel welcome and special. GREAT
The food was an extreme let down and the online menu didn't match the menu offered. The waitress was amazing but everything else was pretty terrible.
One star is being very generous with our experience at The Cannery. I was very excited to give it a try based off other reviews. We had a group of 10. We had a reservation and were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Then we waited over two hours for our food. Half of the table never ate because we left due to the long wait time. We got the run around from the manager continually saying 15 more minutes and that the food would be right up when we asked. Finally after two hours, half the party decided to leave because it was clear no one was working on getting us our food. One we stated we were leaving they said our food was in the window, which our sever confirmed was not true. We tried to pay for our drinks but the server stated it would take him some time to break it up. Absolutely horrible service and no help from the manager. She was more worried about leaving at the end of the night than resolving any issue. I was told by friends their food came around 9:15 (the restaurant closes at 9) and the manager was waiting with her coat on. Would NEVER make reservations here again. Absolutely horrible experience with no resolution.
Place had excellent food. Service was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday night before a game day. Was a great time
The place was nice, the service was great, but the Ribeye steak had far too much fat. It was seasoned and cooked well, but just wasted a high-quality cut of beef.
Calm and relaxed place, good food prices are ok reasonable.
Food was good, service at our table was slow in getting drinks and other items from our server.

Soup was cold. Grilled chicken wrap unfortunately tasted like it was made the day before. Soggy veggies and grayish tasteless meat. Server forgot to bring salad dressing on the side and didn’t check in until salad was almost gone to correct. I did catch the mgr and she was very apologetic. Even offered to remove salad from bill. Just thought you might want the feedback. On a positive note the truffle oil French fries were absolutely delicious!
The food was great but we had a reservation for 7:45 and did not get seated until after 8:20.
Service took quite a while. Food was sitting in the kitchen, waiting to be taken to tables. Restaurant did not seem too busy. Our table number was called 3-4 times before a different waitress grabbed our meal from the kitchen.
Made reservations for a Sunday. We were seated quickly upon arrival. Drinks came with five minutes. That’s where the experience went South. 70 minutes later the server brought out lunch. No coffee refills or a check on things. I had the Chicken and Waffles, the chicken was over done and the waffles were undone. Again, no server to be found. On a good note, the check came and was processed in four minutes allowing us to leave quickly. In fairness, this hasn’t been my experience here prior.
We were passing through Green Bay and had dinner here. The food was delicious! Our waiter was great.
I ordered the prime rib sandwich. It was cold so I sent it back. The 2nd one was also cold. The 3rd one was a little warm. The bun was not toasted. The French fries are somewhat greasy. They are homemade. My friend had the fall pumpkin soup. She said it was look warm to cold when it should have been served hot. Very, very noisy place.cant hear your friends or family members across the table.
We were impressed with everything at The Cannery! Our server, Justin, was absolutely amazing! He gave us background stories on everything, he was funny & engaging and he was very attentive. Strawberry Fields Basil Margarita & bourbon old fashioned are delicious. The Pagel Platter is a huge & wonderful appetizer. They're known for their beef dishes, so try the prime beef sandwich. You also can't go wrong with the lobster mac & cheese. Can't wait to go back!!
The food was good, but the service was very slow. I was There with a group a 7 and it took 2 hours from start to finish to get a drink, eat our dinner and get our check.
Great food. Great drinks and beer. The cheesecake is out of this world good. Best cheesecake I have ever had hands down.
Atmosphere is nice, but I have had several consistently bad meals at the Cannery. Service slow. -slow to get to your table when seated and slow to refresh drinks. This time our waiter barely spoke at all, no greeting, I honestly thought maybe there was something wrong. It made for a really uncomfortable evening. The food was served barely warm which has happened the past couple of times I have been here. Three strikes and you're out....I want to love this place because I give the atmosphere and concept high marks. I have no problem paying more for food if it is a nice atmosphere, but it should at least be a step up from your average restarant and be served hot. Overpriced, lower than subpar food with consistently poor service.
We had a short rib special and steak both were delicious! Drinks were delicious and picked a wine out of store and that was also so good especially paired with the yummy steak. Our server was so fun and nice too .
Not our first visit, but most definitely our first disappointing dinner at The Cannery.
The server seemed to want to be anywhere but there. Very clipped and rude with her tone. Food was as expected. Nothing stood out and the poor service made the experience even worse. I found myself apologizing to my guest. After having a positive experience in the past I was shocked.
Food was mediocre at best. Farm to fork is a generous description. Pancakes were definitely a box mix and scrambled eggs were over cooked. Service was good.
Went to The Cannery for lunch with my husband and three year old. Great service, no wait, delicious food. The beet salad was very fresh and bright, not overdressed at all. The pistachio was a nice touch. I only wish it had more than a small smear of goat cheese. The French onion soup is a must have... So delicious. Husband had the roquette salad and said it was good. My daughter had the kids butter noodles, which they helpfully accommodated in lieu of the kids Mac and cheese. Cold Brew was excellent and my husband said the beer was good. Love the trendy ambiance and helpful staff. Nice little wine and cheese shop inside too. Would recommend!
We have visited this restaurant the last 5 years while visiting Newport Dunes RV resort. We loved the brunch and couldn’t wait for Sunday. Sadly, after bragging to our friends and family we were disappointed for the first time. Our server was great but once we opened our menus our hearts sank we were so disappointed that they no longer had their famous brioche French toast. We were taking about it for months. If it’s not broken why fix it. It went down hill from there most of the party ordered over easy eggs and 3 out of 4 basically received hard boiled eggs. The server made good on it. The hueves rancheros was not authentic and sauce was tasteless. The pancakes unique but not even close as good as the French toast. We were 9 people and the bill was over $500. That would have been ok has we been happy with our meals. Next year we will not be making our annual reservations. That’s another story even our reservations were cancelled after they called to confirm very strange but restaurant was not busy thank goodness.
Food was good, but we were really disappointed that the online menu had several entrees that were not on the menu when we got to the restaurant.

Menu could use expanding in more expensive dinners and contract in small plates. Service was good, food was good and beer ounces could be changed from flutes to pints.
As were most restaurants in Green Bay during Restaurant Week, The Cannery was a bit overwhelmed by the volume of business. Despite that, my wife and I were satisfied with the service and the food was wonderful. Definitely recommend the brussels sprouts appetizer (it's on the regular menu, as well as a Restaurant Week offering). The rice pilaf with shrimp was great. But the real treat was the bread pudding for dessert!
The Cannery has been a must stop destination for us, since it opened. The environment and food have been wonderful every time except the last visit. Unfortunately it was Restaurant Week in Green Bay and we made a reservation which was good since it was busy in the restaurant. We were seated and given our menus and waters. After about 15 min the waitress came over and took our drink and food order. After another 45 min the drinks were finally brought. We had to wait an additional 50 min for our food, as our waitress lost our slip and our order was not brought to the kitchen. When the food was delivered, one of our plate which had a beautiful piece of steak, was cold. The butter on the steak did not even begin to melt. The other dish was hot and good. The third dish was not delivered because the waitress did not know what was ordered. When the third dish arrived it was not prepared in the “Cannery’s best” fashion. When we expressed our concerns to our waitress, she brought over the manager. We explain to the manager the situations. He did make an adjustment on our final bill. The reason for this review, is that we want everyone to know the Cannery is usually very good and the manager did accommodate the mishap. We are hoping our next visit is much better.....as this visit was disappointing.

This was our first visit to The Cannery. We came because it was part of GB Restaurant Week and will definitely be back. Each dish was perfectly seasoned.
We have had excellent food at dinner, however I would not recommend brunch. The skillets were dry and the crepes had no filling (just folded up with small scoops of cheese & topping on the side). Otherwise the farmhouse eggs, bacon were good, but for cost could get just as good for half the cost at another place
I loved the atmosphere, food was amazing! We will definitely be back.
