   The service and food were excellent bearing in mind we weren't expected. Why are you taking bookings when pubs aren't expecting to provide a service?

   Very disappointed as when we arrived we were told the restaurant closes at 14.00 despite us booking a table via Open Table for 18.30.

   Had a really good meal in a very pleasant spacious bar. Friendly staff and great value. Definitely going back.

   Having booked for Sunday lunch I expected a reserved, laid up table, but this doesn't appear to happen here.Instead, we were fed in the bar where we were having a drink. Some men drinking at the bar were exceedingly noisy, to the point where my friend & I could not hear each other speak! However, the staff were friendly & helpful & we enjoyed our meal.

   Stopped on our way to Devon. Easily accessible from the A303, very friendly and great food.

   Lovely cosy pub - really enjoyed our sunday roast, plenty of food. Very helpful, friendly staff will definately go again.

   We came here to meet with the folks on our drive back to London from Cornwall so this was a pick out of a haystack. When we arrived there was no actual table reserved for us. We found a long table that wasn't in the comfortable dining area. This sort of suited us as we had our young baby with us but I would of been miffed if that wasn't the case. We ordered at the bar. The food was OK but nothing spectacular. Still gave us plenty of time to catch up even if the ambience in the area we were sat wasn't the best. Overall not bad but I wouldn't choose to return.

    Family gathering from many locations, we were made very welcome and enjoyed the occasion. Generous portions of classic Sunday pub food, excellent value.
