   The Cage has an upscale, contemporary feel, as does the food. We attended happy hour and enjoyed discounted gourmet appetizers and cocktails, and 1/2 price house wine. Service was excellent.

   When I made the reservation I was asked if it was for an occasion. I noted our anniversary. When we were seated we were given a note wishing us a Happy Anniversary and thank you for dining at the Cage. Very nice surprise.

   Four of us went to the cage on Saturday evening. We had a reservation and were taken to our table within minutes of arriving. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered drinks and an appetizer for the table. The Tuna app was very good. My Gin and tonic they had on the specialty drink menu was nothing special. I could have had the same drink at any local dive bar. My wife got the red sangria, it was 'different' from other to says the least. I tasted it and wanted to spit it out. My wife could only get through half of it. For our meals, three ordered pasta dishes which were pretty good, but two with braised short rib were "very short on the short rib". I ordered the 7Seas flat bread ($28.00) it had grilled octopus and shrimp on it. The center was way to thin, so it was soggy. There was no way to pick up a slice to eat it. I needed to use a knife and fork. Due to the center being soggy, I pretty much ate the sea food and left the flat bread. They did offer to remake it, but we wanted to eat together and not wait another 10 minutes for one meal. When we were done, they did clear the table pretty quickly, a little too quickly. I reached for my gin and tonic, which was still about 1/4 full, and it was GONE. Another thing we noticed, the menu had spelling errors and missing words. When I asked the server about one dish that was described as "Shrimp and sautéed ... the server chuckled a little and said the menu has a lot of mistakes, it should be Shrimp and crab. (This should have been our first impression warning. It's a shame, better management could have gone a long way. Some comped drinks or at least taking the $28. flat bread of the bill and I would not have had to write all this. All in all, I don't want to go back.

   Our food was amazing and the place is beautiful! The service from the hostesses, to our waitress, food runners and manager was impeccable. Will absolutely be back soon!

    The food was very good and out waiter was excellent-friendly, and attentive. However, what really soured the visit was the behavior of one of the managers. He hovered around our table multiple times, staring at us and our plates in a way that felt less like management and more like surveillance. It wasn't subtle-it was awkward and intrusive. We were left wondering if we had overstayed our welcome, his behavior was approx. 1 hour after us arriving. It was unprofessional and make us very uncomfortable. Our reservation was for 4:30pm and the place was not full. It.s unfortunate, because the rest of the staff and the food were great. But that kind of management presence? A big miss.
