The C House
Housed in a former transmission repair shop in Seminole Heights, The C House showcases consciously-crafted food, beverage, and housewares that each start with the letter C. We believe that conversation shared among friends (and soon-to-be-friends) over a cocktail or a glass of California Cabernet is the jewel of life, that the words ‘community’ and ‘pride’ ought to go hand-in-hand, and that everything in life is better with live music.
Please note: Reservations booked guarantee your party a table. We do our best to honor specific location requests (i.e. inside or outside), although party size and reservation time may dictate otherwise. (Thanks for understanding)
Enjoyed brunch with cocktails. Acoustic guitarist in the patio area. Service, food, drinks exceeded expectations. We will definitely be back.
The C House remains my favorite restaurant in Tampa! The staff, the ambiance, and the cuisine are superb!
Good food and nice atmosphere. Prices are high for the amount of food offered.
Second visit. Good food for the most part. Cadillac Mac n Cheese was a disappointment. Very little lobster . The wings were good. The carbonara gnocchi were the highlight of the night. Parking is a challenge.
Wonderful food, attentive service, very fun place to meet with friends. We are never disappointed!
We tried out The C House for a fun date night. It was the perfect atmosphere and awesome food. Our waitress, Brooke, took great care of us and was able to suggest some of her favorites. I had the best scallops I’ve ever had and my boyfriend went for the filet. Both were 10/10. Not to mention the live music was the ideal volume. We will be back again no doubt!!
My first time going to The C House. Service was awesome and food was scrumptious! Will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful date night dinner last Sunday evening at The C House. Food, atmosphere, music, & service were all great! Especially loved the buffalo cauliflower and lamp pops.
Great service. Menu is solid. The Chef’s choice on the meat/cheese platter is a great way to gnosh your way through a conversation with friends. Always enjoy C House!
Ps and the Cheese Cake... none better in Tampa.
Fun atmosphere, great food, wonderful staff.... Wish there was a C House in St. Petersburg. We love driving over to eat there. One of my favorite spots in Tampa.
Arrived, no parking. Four empty “compact spaces”. If they reduced total spaces by one, making them all standard spaces, parking would have been no problem. Parked 2 blocks away. Arrived, they wanted to sit us right next to the entrance door, asked for a four place high top, yes there were only two of us. We were told they were expecting several “large parties”, so we sat by the door. The “large parties”, never arrived. We ordered wine, a cheese board, and our dinner. Wine arrived, then we waited and waited. Parties that arrived after us were being served. We finally attracted the attention of a manager. She looked into the problem. Somehow, they “lost our order”! We had waited almost an hour! Finally our cheese board arrived, and we cancelled the dinner portion, and made a reservation to Rooster and the Till up the street.
FYI, our dinner at Rooster was exceptional! We gladly spent ove $200 there!
I love the food and atmosphere at The C House. This time, our service was just ok, but we still love it there, so we will definitely return.
One of my favorite restaurants in a Tampa! Did not disappoint.
Great food, great location, love this place!
Outstanding! We look forward to coming back soon!
Inside was perfect ..... too noisy outside if you had a rough day and wanted a drink and some peace: Would be fine outside otherwise. Server was especially nice and pleasant !
Awesome brunch! The service, food, and cocktails were great. Honestly, I thought this was a much better value then when I came for apps and dessert.
Met my parents for brunch. Awesome little spot. Food and serviced were fantastic. Had the crab cake Benedict. So good.
The restaurant is adorable. Nice to have the choice of inside or out. Live music on the patio was nice. We had brunch and the menu choices were great. Our food was delicious as well as our mimosas. We all had a great time.
Delightful atmosphere and incredibly satisfying food!
This was our third or fourth visit to the C House and we really enjoyed our family dinner. Great ambiance and service and we really enjoy the consistency of the food. Very good. Buffalo cauliflower is a bit too spicy. Gabrielle was amazing.
Patio seating is very loud. Parking is a real challenge. Food was very good though the risotto served with the scallops was too salty and not creamy. Lamb chop appetizer was outstanding.
In the past, we have really enjoyed the C House. It had great food, service and ambiance. This visit, however, it seemed like a completely different place. We sat down after a brief wait, then it was 25 minutes before a waitress came over. We timed it. We were about to walk out and at that moment, someone finally came over and apologized. It was surprising that our cocktails then- didn’t come. They were obviously understaffed and we felt sorry for the waitress, who did her best. The drinks had been sitting so long up at the bar that my ice was melted (big foul for a bourbon drinker). We ordered a hamburgers and a chicken sandwich. The burger came out raw - beef tartare+blood in a bun. We sent that back and the replacement was at the other extreme. My wife showed it to me and it was so burned, it was hard to imagine it wasn’t deliberate. The chicken was there, however more of a chicklet than chicken. There was so little in the sandwich that after a few bites, only a bun was left. Very surprising for this place.
Hopefully the night was a fluke... really, we could not believe our experience.
Charming setting. Cute concept all offerings contain a C. Sat outside on a nice night. Charcuterie and cheese plate was excellent- spicy berry mustard yum!
Had a craft cocktail and wine.
Unfortunately service left a lot to be desired. My server left me unattended for long periods of time with an empty glass. Bartender finally came out from behind to check on me after quite a while waiting to order something additional.
Would definitely return and hope that the service experience is a little better next time
Such a neat place with great food and drinks. Great place for a small or large group gathering. Highly recommend.
The C House gets a strong A! Great service, yummy food and well-crafted cocktails. Buffalo cauliflower bites are a great starter for hot food aficionados.
We were there to celebrate our anniversary and although our table was ready at the time of our reservation, the hostess made it right by offering dessert on the house. Our waitress Ana was awesome and we appreciate her spunky and attentiveness service.
A fun atmosphere, very vibrant, delicious foods. All the items on the website are not on the menu though.
Hostess was so rude ! We wanted to sit in side and there were tables and she refused to move us. Our waitress got us inside
Great service, food and atmosphere! We ate at the inside bar. Next time will experience their outside dining and live music.
Asked for a table inside but they could not accommodate. The bees were overwhelming outside that we had to leave earlier than anticipated. :( The food was great but disappointed at accommodations.
Made a reservation for 9:00pm on Open table for inside seating. Got there and there was nothing available. Didn’t see the point in requesting seating inside if the restaurant wasn’t going to honor it. Seated our party right in front of the entertainment. It was so loud, that we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Hostess never made any attempt to seat us inside, even though people coming in after us got seated inside. Not good service.
Not only is the food amazing, the service is even better!
Outstanding food and a great location. The place is beautiful, the owner is very friendly. Highly recommend
It was our first time at C House so we did not know what to expect. The atmosphere was great and the food was terrific for the most part, the exception being the buffalo cauliflower. We had the cheese and charcuterie boards. Both beautiful and bountiful displays. They make their own sweet pickles which was a really nice touch. The burger was flavorful and cooked well. The cauliflower, however, was heavily breaded with what tasted like progressive Italian bread crumbs. We were not expecting so much breading and the flavoring really threw off the taste. Plus the two dips had zero flavor making the dish overall disappointing.
The downside was the service which was horrible. There were about 12 people working and no one seemed to know what they were doing. Our water glasses and drinks sat empty and no one bothered to ask if we’d like something else. We were pretty much ignored once we ordered so thankfully the food was as good as it was.
If you are in the area it’s worth checking out if you have some time to spare.
Food is awesome. Hostess and seating process is terrible. Guy on guitar? Can we reduce volume inside restaurant.
I love coming and will be back again, just a feW simple changes and I’ll come even mor!
Dana and Rhett are the best. The staff and quality of food are always superb. Great place to go any day they are open
Wonderfully welcoming atmosphere and great energy. Excellent service, wonderful staff recommendations for wine & entrees. We will be coming back soon!
