Had a wonderful time. Food was fantastic. Only disappointment was we were brought to a table that haven’t been cleaned from previous guests. They removed glasses and said would be right back to wipe it down but never came back and cleaned
Wonderful food, service, and special Valentines specials
The ambiance was perfect for Valentine’s Day! This is my fourth time there and they didn’t disappoint. I had the lobster and my fiancé had the duck and both dishes were wonderful!! This has become one of our favorite spots. The fireworks and music were the perfect ending to a great night. We’ll for sure be back.
Valentine’s Day date...we didn’t realize it was a prix fixe menu but it was actually good and they also had great options. Christina, our server, was delightful. It was a great evening. The ambiance was great. They even provided their guests with Valentine’s keepsakes via repurposed wine bottles, which we could write messages on; clever idea. Overall great time.
We love the Butler House. It’s our go to restaurant but Valentine Day was a little disappointing. Extra tables were placed due to the holiday and there was NO privacy. Customers on either side of our table could hear our conversation and vice versa which was a little disappointing. Prefer the normal table set up which affords more privacy while dining.
Great place for family and the happy hour. Service was wonderful we had a great table.
Everything was wonderful!! The fillet was out of this world!!
This place is super charming and the food is delicious! I would highly recommend it and I’ll be back soon! The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food being served.
The food was very good but it's expensive. Their tables are uncomfortable either too big and can't hear across or you keep hitting your knees on the legs. The service was good. Their wine list is good but pretty expensive as well.
Service was terrible saw the waiter ebout every 30 minutes my with the price of their food that is unacceptable. My first plate came out cold. Reason for bad service was they were too busy and they are a new restaurant stated the manager not my problem as there were plenty of empty tables Manager states he was going to attend to us did not see him after that. Too bad they have great tasting food as the only way would recommend if you are ok with terrible service then go
Dined here on a Wednesday night. THE GOOD: the service, the coconut shrimp, the avocado caprese salad, the scallops THE MEDIOCRE: the hostess took forever to seat us, and the Chipotle Sweet Potato Puree; THE BAD: N/A
Once again, a wonderful evening. The scallops are phenomenal! And it’s great to enjoy reduced price wines. During happy hour.
Able to seat where our grandchildren could play and the patience of the staff with toddlers was amazing. Great family venue!!!
This was our first time dining at the Butler House. It was overall not a good experience!
I have worked in the restaurant industry and won numerous awards for quality of operations, and guest services. The following are what we experienced Saturday evening.
1. Hostess not friendly and led us to our table dropped the menus and walked away
2. Waiter was not friendly or talkative, acted like he could care less about us.
3. We both ordered the filet and as the filet was cooked perfect for my wife her sides were cold. I asked the waiter if he could have the cook my filet a little longer and his response was ... he would have to ask the manager. My wife was done with her meal before my filet came back to the table.
4. We had a $100 gift card we got for Christmas and when we gave it to the waiter he and the manager on duty came back and asked if we had a receipt for the card because it showed no $ amount was on the card!!! We assured him it should and after 10 minutes he came back and set it on the table and said all was good with no apology!!!
5. Overall a very disappointing experience.
Had wanted to try this place for awhile; did not disappoint. The scallops and risotto where excellent. We are going back to try brunch on Sunday. Note brunch is only served on Sunday's.
We have already recommended the Butler House, felt the food was good, got our money's worth! Expect to revisit in the future. I have seen many request for Special Restaurants to take out of town visitors, this is one they need to take family and friends.
First time for us at Butler House and we loved it. Excellent food! Great Service. David was terrific, answered all of our questions and tended to our requests. We had a lovely time and are sure we will return.
Went to the Butler House for my wife's birthday. We were drawn there by the menu, but didn't realize that it is a sports bar with a fantastic menu and wine list. Our server was either very new, untrained or just overwhelmed--not sure. As I said we were drawn to the Butler House by it's menu and we were not disappointed. We had the muscles and the octopus appetizers and they were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a great bottle of wine, short ribs and lamb--all very good. Unfortunately, the sports bar theme didn't fit with the wonderful meal. Having a large screen TV tuned to a cage event with plenty of blood spilled didn't make the dinner enjoyable.
I would recommend the Butler House to friends, but I would make sure that they understood the atmosphere.
Enjoyed dinner very much. The food was very very good. However, it was cold until we asked that the heat be turned on, and our seating was close to the bar with many energetic discussions echoing into the dining room. We'll be back. Loved it. Thanks.
The scallops we’re phenomenal. Great service. Attentive but not overbearing wait staff.
Made a reservation but had to wait for the table. When we were seated the table was for 8 people and we were only 4 so it made conversation awkward
7 pm reservations and it was very noisy until about 9 when it calmed a bit
Food was fine and we enjoyed. Service was fine
Our food was very good, but we felt the service could of been better. We had a reservation and was told if we wanted to eat inside we would need to wait an additional 20 minutes. Once we were seated, there was only one menu on the table for the 4 of us. We asked if we could have another menu, to share and we were told they were out of menus??? We thought that was strange. Once the food was brought to our table it was very good, but they got 2 of our sides wrong. Overall, I think we may have caught them on a bad night.
We were there for our Anniversary. The server was very attentive. We enjoyed the food very much. It was a bit loud but really liked it. The patio looks awesome but it was too cold to sit there.
We had the best time! We have lived in The Woodlands for 20+ years and go out to dinner often. It was my birthday so we wanted to try somewhere new. We absolutely loved The Butler House. The food was fantastic and the service was incredible. We had the crab croquettes, caprese avocado salad, short rib, surf and turf, and the bread pudding for dessert. Travis (I think was his name) was our server and it’s the best service we’ve had in a long time. We will most def be going back and can’t wait to try the brunch.
food was exceptional and original, service fabulous. Overall a great dining experience.
Wonderful dining experience and very knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff. Will definitely return!
This is absolutely our new favorite place! Celebrated our anniversary here and the food & atmosphere was perfect. Lobster & Filet cooked to perfection! We already can’t wait to go back!
The Butler House is tremendous asset to our North Spring neighborhood! The menu does a good job of pleasing all tastes and the service is very friendly and efficient. It's sophisticated and family friendly at the same time. It offers very comfortable outdoor dining as well. I was personally very pleased when they decided to open for lunch on weekdays. It's always a good choice.
We went New Years Eve. We were seated on time but it took 10-15 minutes for a server to take our order. The food from the special menu was ok but not great. The sea bass wasn’t very hot and pretty average. The salad was very good and mixed grill was good. Our reservation was 6pm and they were already out of one dessert. The staff were friendly. This was our first time dining here and we will come back but overall we were a little disappointed. Lots of potential to make this a great restaurant.
We have visited the Butler House many times for dinner. On this particular night, we reserved a table for New Year’s Eve dinner. The food and ambiance were exceptional. Our server was very attentive. However, when we saw the manager passing out party favors we asked for hats for our table. The manager was inconsiderate and stated they are only for seatings at 7:30PM. I will visit the Butler House, but not for a special occasion. Thank you!
Horrible experience. Rude hostess. Said I never told them I wanted to sit inside (which is a lie - I confirmed via open table and also called and left a voicemail when no one picked up) so they automatically reserved our seating for outside in the cold on plastic chairs and tables. View of a concrete parking lot because inside was booked although we saw plenty (90%) of empty seats. Went to eat elsewhere for New Year’s Eve. Won’t recommend or come back.
This was our first time trying The Butler House even though we live close. We heard that the food was good and were excited to try it. Given that it was Nee Years Eve I knew optimum dining times would be slim so I made a reservation for 5 pm.
We got there about 5 minutes after 5 and there were only a few tables that were occupied. The hostesses were rude and looked at us like we were aliens. There were very few people seated inside and they told us that we would likely have to sit on the patio because of impending crowds. Reluctantly we said we would teke a look at the outside area and finally agreed.
When we got out to the patio, the male host wanted to position us up against some plastic curtain they had hanging and I said no. He then reluctantly
Moved us to another table.
We ordered the mixed grill and the sea bass and the food was really good. By the end of our meal there wasn’t another table in the patio area with people sitting. All that garbage about putting us in Siberia for nothing
We will not be going back to this place. I don’t reward bad attitudes with repeat business. Back to fieldings we will go.
Here is a photo of the outside area as we finished our food.
Food was delicious and service was great. It was very intimate setting. Heard the whole kitchen conversations which I didn't like to hear.
Staff was 1st class along with the food and atmosphere.
A great experience every time, but I really wish they would offer brunch on Saturday as well as Sunday.
We saw another group leaving because there was no brunch offered.
Anniversary and celebrate Christmas!! Wow what a wonderful evening... The cocktails were great to start with our apps and we had the specials Osso Bucco and it was perfect as was the filet, red snapper and lamb chops!! Service was awesome and Eddie was a great host!!
We will be back for sure!!😊
Excellent service! We ate from HH menu and everything was delicious!
Everything wonderful but the opening and closing of the door to the back patio. It gets rather cold in that part of the restaurant
Very nice place for a date. Great Service, Great menu selection, Great food. We loved the outdoor fire pits. The Wine and the Crown XR topped it all off.
The meal was outstanding and service was excellent! A nice crowd for a Wednesday night and considering the traffic construction -- they are doing a wonderful job. Word of mouth, no doubt has caught on - a lovely night, indeed.
