One of the best steak selections around! Our group enjoyed a NY Eve dinner here and all the food was delicious and the atmosphere was quiet and casual. Will return many times and recommend to all.
The food was excellent. Service was a little slow owing to the fact that restaurant was packed with holiday parties. Good wine list and a nicely varied menu. My steak was perfectly prepared and my husbands trout was huge and, he said, delicious!
I think they intended to offer my husband a birthday dessert but didn’t get around to it. As we were getting in our car, the owner cane dashing out to wish my husband a happy birthday!! Wow!
We went here with my family early at 5pm when there were only a few other tables filled. Our waiter took an extremely long time to take our order and then forgot to put it into the kitchen. It took over an hour to get our food when someone finally realized this happened. The service was terrible and the restaurant wasn’t even half full. The food was semi ok. They were gluten free friendly which was exciting for me however the service was terrible. Probably won’t be returning unless maybe getting a drink at the bar.
Food was delicious and service was friendly and efficient.
As usual, a great meal at The Butchery. This time it was for a business meeting and they did not disappoint the meat lover we were with!
Great steaks, expertly grilled with au gratins, too......
Six adults and two children @ 7:15 on a Saturday evening should have been a great evening. Ordering drinks took a half and hour, delivery of them more. Tried to get appetizers, which the manager delivered at 45 minutes. Ordered, food took forever and took over 30 minutes for everyone to be served. (usually you don't have to figure out how long it's taking, however it became a game)
Brandon the manager graciously comped the meal for all. I have to say, the food was excellent as well as the drinks.
We'll try it again.
We were there an hour before we got our food. It took about 15-20 minutes before we placed our order, then it was another 45 before our food came out. The Brussels sprouts has so much garlic on them, I couldn’t eat them, and I’m a fan of garlic! The rest of the food was good and the staff was very nice.
I had the Apricot Jus Chicken, it was tender but flavorless. I won't rush to go back but would be willing to give it a second chance.
Great atmosphere, bar options were up scale. The Green Chile cornbread was awesome. The T-Bone special was not a great choice, lack of flavor and kinda chewy. The Filet however, was better. Since, everything else was great, we will be going back for another try.
Not impressed with anything about this place. Drinks were overpriced. $14 for a Margarita is too high. Food was just OK.
Good food, great service. Went for our anniversary and got a complimentary creme brûlée
Absolutely loved this The Butchery. Amazing food and friendly staff truly made this quite an unexpected treasure of a first visit. Will be going back again - repeatedly!
Good food, great for conversation! No loud music! I will return for that reason alone!
I was looking for a good steak house near Arvada. We usually have to travel to Denver or Boulder but I was surprised to find a quality steak house in Arvada. We gave it a shot and really enjoyed it. The ambiance was nice and the food was great!
Enjoy the Dinner , friendly staff
Excellent food ,
A first-time visitor, I found the dining experience to be top-notch. The maitre d' and waitress were welcoming and congenial, patiently answering questions while I awaited my guest, who was also a first-time visitor. The service, appetizer and meal were exquisite! I appreciated the ambiance, which was lively but not distracting for a Monday evening dinner date. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will return soon.
My husband and I had an amazing time at The Butchery for his birthday. The staff was so kindj, and the food was delicious!! We didn't feel rushed at all, we were given plenty of time to enjoy our courses and relax at the end of the meal.
My one call out would be that the restaurant was relatively empty when we first got there, however the staff seated another couple directly next to us and we couldn't barely hear over their conversation. I would recommend that they space people out instead, it made it difficult for my husband and I to interact with each other.
This was of course very minor in the overall experience, and we will definitely be back for another special occasion!
The food was mediocre at best and overpriced. It was 6:30 on a Tuesday night and we were two of six people there, with the exception of a group towards the back. The steak itself was tasty, but the crab cake appetizer was barely warm, and the fries were overdone and not warm. My husband's asparagus was limp and mushy. We won't be going back. Not at all what I was hoping for for a 25th anniversary dinner. The 'art' hanging on the wall and facing me all night was too much. We laughed all the way though dinner. Talk about low end dining....
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Lovely place for special occasions.
Very warm welcome from the owner and made comfortable quickly. Food was excellent.
I had the bone in rib eye with a side of the peppercorn sauce. To be honest the steak was perfect on it's own; there's a lot to be said for quality steak with salt and pepper I replaced the mashed potatoes with brussel sprouts and these were nicely cooked with just a little char; perfect. I've been here before and I am constantly amazed at how good the cocktails are made. This time I had a dirty martini and it was the best I've had in a long time; with just the right amount of olive juice. Desert was creme brulee ... perfect. Service was timely, friendly and quick. A great evening in Arvada.
We enjoyed restaurant. My wife and I went for her birthday. Food and staff great.
We went there for my moms birthday. Very disappointed in the food. I ordered the Apricot goat cheese chicken and all I really got was a chicken thigh. My mother dish was disappointing also. Very bland. Service was good but for spending over $150 on three people I was hoping for great food
We gave it a second chance since our first experience was not good. Second time was not better.
We had a phenomenal time. The entire team knew it was our anniversary and did everything they could to make it a special evening.
Every single thing they set on our table was just plain fantastic. My wife ordered a cocktail that had Lavender in it. To say I was skeptical was an understatement. However, it completely blew me away. The lavender was subtle and just the perfect amount in the drink to take the edge off the gin. I had a smoked old fashioned. It was as amazing as you could imagine.
We had steaks that were cooked to absolute perfection.
The creme brûlée was absolutely the best version of an old classic that I've ever had.
In short, I highly recommend The Butchery for a nice romantic evening with you SO.
Only two minor cons:
1) The decor and building itself is definitely dated. However you can see they're making efforts and improvements on both.
2) We had an obnoxiously loud pair of folks at the table next to us. It made it so we had to nearly yell to each other in our own booth. However, these people were the exception in the restaurant and really didn't seem to be representative of the general clientele.
Second visit to The Butchery, even better than we’d remembered. Steaks, salads, sides and dessert were all delicious! Filets were extremely tender and flavorful. The tallow candle charcuterie board is awesome and we appreciated that sides were included with the entree, rather than the al a cart sides offered at most steakhouses.
Both times we’ve gone for dinner after a matinee performance at the Arvada Center. The Butchery is very convenient for theater goers, it’s slightly off the main drag (Wadsworth), but very easy to get to. Check it out you won’t be disappointed!
This was our first trip. Yolanda was our server and we couldnt have asked for more. She was attentive, water never went below a quarter glass full and the food was exactly what we had hoped for. We will be back.
The food is always good, we feel very comfortable and well taken care of. Recommend it highly.
We go to the Butchery quite often due to the exceptional service and friendly feel. We also used to brag about the food, not so much anymore. The last few times we have been to the Butchery our Medium Rare Steak was overcooked and the veggies undercooked. My impression is that the staff is not even comfortable returning a meal to the Cook (sorry cannot call them a chef) due to arrogance and ego. Please find a new chef this one is ruining a great restaurant and possibly treating staff poorly.
Appetizer never came out, when our dinner came out we mentioned it the waiter and said he would bring it right out and never did. At the end he did have it boxed up for us to take home. We were at a tucked away table and not in the main flow of things and I think it was quite easy to forget us. The dinner, as always was very good.
A quality steakhouse in an area of town lacking in fine dining.
Dining at the Butchery was very disappointing. The atmosphere was very dark and dated. Two in our party had the trout. It was overcooked and very dry. The chicken picata was tasteless. The only positive thing I can sayabout the Butchery is the service was excellent.
We arrived just after 5pm on a Sunday night. The host was also our waitress as she was also the waitress for everyone else in the restaurant. She did a nice job serving at least 7 tables at once. Just seemed they could use more staff. The food was okay. Not bad, not great. I read the good reviews about the green chile corn bread but ultimately was disappointed because it was so dry. Overall I felt it was a little too expensive for the meal and the ambiance.
We had high hopes. The food was just ok, but did not warrant the price tag. The chopped salad still needed chopped because the veggies were so large they needed cut to be eaten politely. There was nothing special about the steaks, and they were burnt. The sides were so salty. Service was very slow 😕
The Buchery was such a gem. We went because we had a gift card, but we will definitely be back. The food was Devine and the service was exceptional. I also loved that you could dress up for a fancy dinner out or come in your jeans.
My filet melted in my mouth. And it was very reasonably priced for a steak house.
Stuck in the 70"s is the best way to describe this place. I am 68, my wife is 65. We live in Arvada. Always wanted to go. Sorry, we will not be back. Drinks were OK, and over priced. We ordered the Bone-in Ribeye. Poorly cooked, not-prime beef, overly seasoned. Did we complain? No. Why? I shouldn't have to. We did not finish our meal. It was obviously a good place at one time, as a lot of older folks were coming for dinner. Kind of strange to be the young ones in the crowd at 68!
The Butchery is nice quiet local restaurant, easy access and moderately priced. The wait staff was attentive and courteous.
Staff very nice no problems there. Food was ok but way to overpriced and when chocolate cake came I’m sure it was a Costco cake.
This place is great! It has an old school vibe. Very Sinatra. They make a good straightforward cocktail and the steaks are well-seasoned. Great service.
